A continuation of the last post- this time from Section 9, Shot 1. This time we did a much better time planning our characters and backgrounds to be in sync with each other, however- when we hit the editing stage we realized the shot was actually too congested. Two of the main issues:

1. Rea's shoe is weirdly cropped at the bottom of the frame

2. Ghost's head is too close to the top of the frame, and once he's tweened to bob up and down his head will also be weirdly cropped

There just wasn't enough negative space for the characters to move around comfortably, so we decided to zoom out and give everyone some extra breathing room. It did mean we would have to draw a little bit of extra background, but definitely worth the time spent once you see the final shot.

Bailey's Fantasy

I find it so silly in most of these posts so far, that Ghost was standing with everyone in the storyboards, but once getting into the final stage he went "Nah, I'ma float" Its just very interesting to me as an artist that you can just, ignore your previous drawing to a degree. Like yes they're still there but you change the pose of how they inhabit the space and I think that's so cool.
