Mastering your ecosystem is important for every performer. I've tried many grooveboxes and workflows: in the box (DAW only), livecoding, MPC, Elektron, M8 Tracker, Polyend, Korg, and of course, modular synths. I've given them all a fair shake, and while most of them fell off for me, a few remained. This experience is unique to me. I can't tell you what to do, but I can show you how it can work if you want to integrate a few systems.

In this livestream, I explain my workflow for live performance using Elektron, the M8 Tracker, and a modular synth skiff. I am using my performance mixer combo template on the Octatrack. It allows me the most flexibility for live effects, considering the sound sources and the style of music I play. Switching from the Elektron ecosystem to the M8 Tracker workflow can be challenging, especially when pairing it with a modular skiff. Today, I'll show you exactly how I do it and what that sounds like.
