In this stream, I do a small review of the Neuzeit Drop, an extremely powerful MIDI controller with many of the same functionalities as the Octatrack. I began building a mapping for the Drop that breaks out some of the features of the template that are buried in pages. Please check this out and let me know what you think if you are interested in the Drop.

My opinion of the Drop: I think it's a very well built device with just about every MIDI feature you could want. Scenes, macros, MIDI merger, MIDI hub, and so much more it's ridiculous. If you are down to learn all of that and fork out the cash for the unit, I think it's well worth it. BUT don't buy it just for your grooveboxes, this unit shines with synthesizers, DAW's, and FX units. Grooveboxes like DT, DN, and ST will mostly function the same as many other cheaper MIDI controllers.

11.15.25 Added the Hybrid 4X4 template for Neuzeit Drop and the Syntakt template.

The 4X4 Drop template is identical to what you see in the video here, some new FX and a few scenes. I didn't get much further with this project but I may return to it. THe Syntakt project is complete and fully breaks the Syntakt out into the drop, offering mix controls of the Syntakt from the Drop.
