Ron Culbertson

Thanks again, Alex. Goes with our other piece in D minor by Django. The lullaby. This one will be fun. Guitar sounds great so do you. Still reminds me of Harlem nocturne.🎸🤠

mardin56

Interesting lesson....your comment about learning minor 6 arpeggios: 'it'll bleed into your playing whether you want it to or not.' That's LOL funny.

Johan

Great stuff Alex.

MarkF

I’m all in on the 1 “2” 3 5 as I love that sound. I need to get those 9th arpeggios under my fingers. There is so much here to take in it’s incredible. Your playing is so tasty as usual so effortless.

Benoit Touche

Another really great study here!

Mark Kreitz

Hearing some Calexico vibes. Very cool man!!

Joseph Corso

Man, you’ve gotta be happy with that. Beautiful playing, tone and teaching. Wonderful.

Jan Geerts

That's the good stuff

This is an awesome lesson as I love Gypsy Jazz! Unfortunately the Guitar Pro files won’t play on my iPad. GP says that the file contains an audio track that is a format not yet supported by GP mobile. Has anyone else gotten GP to work on an iPad?

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks Michael, I believe it should still work but just without the audio file right?.. or does it not even display the tab?

Alex Farran Guitar

Ooh nice, I love some of there spaghetti western vibes.. “Minas de cobre” was always a favourite track of mine 👌🏻

Johan

I purchased the GuitarPro for iPad which is a stripped down version. It only plays the .gp and not the gpa files. So midi instruments. But honestly, I prefer printing out the pdfs and using the audio files in transcribe for iPad. You can loop parts, slow them down, etc.

Michael Albanese

Thanks for the responses guys. The tab still shows so that is great. It is probably my old iPad that is the problem. I am working off the PDF and it is fine. Keep calm and cary on.

Hello Alex, thanks again, great lesson! Do I remember you mentioning that there is a way to select the master audio in the Guitar Pro app instead of listening to the robot? Best, Esgi

Steve Furey

Alex.... First... This is epic. I've almost got it down, loving this style of stuff. Just wondering, is it possible to do a version of the guitar pro file with the backing track audio. I like to play over the backing tracking but it would be nice to have it in sync with the guitar pro file. I've tried removing the audio and putting in the backing tracking but I can't get it it sync properly. Or, is there an easy way to do this and I'm just daft? Again, thanks dude!

Steve Furey

I think I figured it out :)

David C

Alex, this is just awesome! I am getting so much from your lessons. It's obvious that you put a great deal of time and effort into cranking out all this great material. Your great music selections, your beautiful playing and your meticulous break downs are so inspirational. Many, many thanks.

Gert De Groof

Ok, You got my head spinning at a 1000 mph.

Alex Farran Guitar

Hi Steve, glad you got it sorted. Yes, synchronising the audio to the tab takes a fair bit of time and adjustment to get right, especially for some of my other lessons that aren't set to a particular bpm. I guess you could tab the backing track out on a separate file, and import the matching audio after the fact and then go in and fine tune the beats to align.

Alex Farran Guitar

Yes indeed my friend, in guitar pro there is a "mixer" area where you can adjust the volume of the midi track from 0-100, same goes for the audio track.

Alex Farran Guitar

That’s bloody brilliant Steve, very well done indeed! You’ve got a great touch 👌🏻

Steve Furey

Thanks dude... I'm learning a lot from you.

Nick L

This is the most challenging lesson that I’ve ever attempted. But I am determined to to nail it. Thanks for continuing to push me to the next level Alex!
