A fairly short one to pick up and learn over a weekend and get in your repertoire. Improvising over these changes is also a lot of fun, and there'll be a lead study lesson for this just around the corner! One a month would be great!

Brian Forst

I’m also interested in solo arrangements. Once a month sounds great. Thank you!

Hi Alex, another new Patreon member here too, just signed up today. I only found your channel a couple of months ago via a YouTube recommendation. I've bought a few of you Gumroad lessons but thought I'd become a Patron instead. Regards, Peter

Alex Farran Guitar

Ah Peter, that is amazing, thank you my friend. Honestly, your support is massively appreciated. I hope you find plenty of cool stuff to dig into here, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. 🙏🏻

Brilliant “Love It” small cheeky add to the song title! This arrangement is great and I believe your chord melody arrangement lessons are the best out there. So one a month sounds great. Curious if there is any interest in arranging a lesson on one of the classic Bossa tunes I struggle with them. I am off to give that album of the week recommendation another listen. Thanks for the work you put into these lessons we do appreciate it.

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks Mark, very kind of you to say so! Sure thing, I’ll include a Bossa tune in chord melody form. Maybe Blue Bossa, Desafinado or Girl From Ipanema .. any preference guys? 🤷🏻‍♂️

MarkF

I love ‘em all + Triste, Wave and How Insensitive so whatever/whenever you feel like arranging one I’m a happy camper!

Alex Farran Guitar

Great suggestions, I’ve added them to the list! Thanks Mark 🙏🏻

Damian Gibbins

I am mainly interested in getting better at melodic soloing as I play in a duo and we are more pop/blues orientated than trad jazz. But it is always nice to work on chord melody for practice

Alex Farran Guitar

That's interesting Damian, thanks for sharing. Many more solo and improvisation based lessons upcoming.. in fact, maybe a blues lead lesson coming this weekend ;)

Gert De Groof

Beautiful once again. Really liking that Nels Cline album as well. Looking forward to the m6/m7(b5) video. Looking forward to all your lessons as a matter of fact. Interesting to hear how you capture the acoustic sound of that beautiful arch top. Thanks Alex.

Alex Farran Guitar

Thank you Gert, your kind and enthusiastic words are always appreciated my friend! 🙏🏻

Very interesting to hear about the concept of dark side of the key (the 2-5-1 in Dm) in relation with its bright side (the 2-5-1 in F) ! Thank you so much for making the music theory so easy to understand with the appropriate words -:)
