the best nonspoiler way i can explain kingdom is its about the founding of china and it follows a young boys journey to be the best general in china. the only down side i can say about it is for the earlier seasons they didnt know if they wanted to be regular 2D, 3D, or a mix so in-between episodes/seasons there will be changes on how its animated

I haven't seen the anime, but the manga is quite good. Lots of big epic battles with over the top action. Most of the leaders of armies are supposed to be geniuses of strategy, although I have to say I was never convinced they were actually that smart. A lot of "I planned a counter to your counter for my counter of what was actually a ruse from the start" kind of thing. It felt like everyone was a little to omniscient. That said its still more clever than most anime that cover war and is very enjoyable.

so, Kingdom is set in ancient China in the warring states period and is about two boys thrown into the chaos, and their stories. the anime's one mostake is setting the color palette too vivid and toning down violence, otherwise I heard it is a very solid adaptation. it is 3d though, but it is a decent level cg. the manga for this is LEGENDARY. it is set in history but the story is fictional, woven into history. this historical fiction / mythology set in anime "realism". a fantastical "realistic" retelling, think novelisation of history, so not historical but setting is. very decent. THE MANGA THO, ten times better for sure. but yeah, good anime. I v seen clips, I v seen music. I v seen opinions. I know the manga.

Only the first season is in 3D, the rest of them are your usual 2D anime. Well, the troops are using 3D model for war scene if that count.

Its basicly based on Chinese history. And if i have to say anime is so much better then openings and endings provided you with. Its not fantasy based. If you know of the story of battle of the three kingdomes its basicly like that, a lot of chinise historical figures is there.

I dont know if this counts as a spoiler but here is the synopsis.Kingdom provides a fictionalized account of the Warring States period primarily through the experiences of the war orphan Xin and his comrades as he fights to become the greatest general under the heavens, and in doing so, unifying China for the first time in 500 years.

TBF this is the waring states period not the three kingdoms but yes its generally the more popular knowledge people have of ancient china.

Luke > they are 11 ending, I send a playlist for you via Yami, you missed 2 Op from season 1 and 2 from season 2. Also the 1st of season 3 and 1st of season 4. Please finish the ending if you can. The anime, oh you would love it. The 3rd song is Suwano song, Emiko Suzuki is the singer. This ending hits so hard while watching the anime. The 4th song, you didn't heard Misaki before. The type of architecture the cities had at that time. The 5th ending is from 2024. All ending have legit animation from Kingdom anime. Please do a full reaction to the 3rd 'kIng', 4th 'Believe' and 5th 'Rulers'. Kingdom is on historical basis, 7 states of China approximately 2200-2250 ears ago. Many characters are based on real people, they had also some real strategic geniuses. I give you a hint > Terracotta army. The story is not adapted whole, last was 5th season. Can't wait for the 6th and more. It's so epic!!! Like half of the manga is adapted, approximately to 440 chapter. manga is still ongoing (828 chapter to this date) and the end looks far away.

Yeah, and it's skipping a lot of stuff. I must say the live action is one of the best adaptation though. Probably only losing to Kenshin and OP

Kingdom is a great anime, it has a good story, is based on a historical setting(spring&autumn period of the region now named china) the characters are diverse and interesting. Theres big and small battles with real stackes and characters do die in this anime so its not as go lucky as it may apear.

Kingdom is still ongoing and with really strong sales on the manga side (Almost 830 chapters). It is currently the 15th best selling manga (close behind Jojo 14th and Bleach 13th), even if its Anime never compared to the other 2 in popularity. A big part of that is, because the 1st season has a an infamous cgi animation, which gets fixed starting from season 2, but that probably cost it alot of fans in the long run.

As much as I love your positive energy, I just wanted to ask if you'd be willing to in some way reduce the volume in the beginning. It does sometimes hurt my hears if I forget to lower my volume beforehand. Thank you so much for checking out the Kingdom EDs! The anime gets a bad rep because the first season and second are atrocious with cgi, but the story is genuinely amazing, especially after the first arc. The manga is prob my favorite of all time. Would love some kingdom anime reactions at some point

the manga is in most people's top 5 best ever seinen up there with berserk,vagabond, and vinland saga, but yea the anime did an atrocious job adapting season 1. i powered through it because I had already read the manga and loved the story but definitely a far cry of what it could of been. like season 1 has hilariously bad cgi. I cannot think of any shows that had worse animation. (seinen is manga targeted at adults vs shounen which is meant for a younger audience). also it's about the warring era in china when they were all fighting to take control of china. not sure how accurate it is as i am not an expert in chinese history but it seems pretty close to what happened historically (the big picture at least). it is definitely not completed. the manga is at ch 828 right now and still going.

Kingdom is an epic story very loosely based on when ancient China was at war with itself. Kingdom also makes me want to go to the city of Xi An in China and see the Terracotta Warriors.

Kingdom is really underrated. It's an awesome historical fiction tale, loosely based off the Qin Conquest of China to become the first recorded dynasty of China. I recommend you to watch this. From tactics to warfare.

fully agree here. Even i almost didn't watch it completely cause of the shit Cgi but, i am so glad i kept watching cause it's just that good!. Even the real life action movies of this anime are pretty good.

I hope you ignore poll for this and watch it. You said many times that you love strategy wars and this is the best so far. Even if S1/S2 animation is crap asf, the story its still worth it. And it seems people are choosing the same theme of anime right now that its getting boring.
