Yeah your subtitles are a bit off. I remember saying it on the Episode 2 reaction Luckily there hasn’t been any errors in regards to the major story so you’re good on that end. I don’t know what they’ll change going forward so I’d try to find the official Funimation source

Dang, Issei/Eren voice acting in these emotional dialogue always do gets me. And yeah, the “sus” is bit too much & kinda ki1led the vibes at times, but the story is surprisingly good, get its hooks in & reel you.

High School DxD is highly underrated and deeply beloved by a close-knit community. Its plot is well-regarded and frequently discussed as one of the best ecchi anime among various fan groups. I think you'll enjoy it more and more, Luke, as the story unfolds.

yeah one of the things I love about DxD is that the romance and relationships actually do progress and develop overtime. Since most shows just have the romance go back and forth without progressing it really makes the show stand out.

Some ecchi are mindless and only serve the needs of a few. While others try to go beyond. DxD is one of the better ones with action and comedy. Ecchi comedy is the more common ecchi story type. With many great examples over the years. Some example of ecchi comedy from the early 2000's would be Amazing Nurse Nanako or Desert Punk just to name a few. All ecchi comedy offer a two for one combo, giggle and jiggle. Perfect for when you want to unwind from a long day. I'm sure many people would enjoy a good ecchi comedy reaction. It's just a matter of everybody settling on one and then getting Lukes attention.

Not all ecchi anime are made by the same studio, but there are studios that generally specialize in ecchi anime. The really big studios generally don't make this kind of ecchi but it's not impossible. Madhouse made High School of the Dead, while J.C. Staff made Prison School for example. A few studios do have made a good mix of ecchi and more mainstream shows. Studio feel. for example made ecchi shows such as Bikini Warriors, Kiss x Sis, and Yosuga no Sora, as well as mainstream shows like later seasons of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Hinamatsuri; while studio Passione made the ecchi shows Interspecies Reviewers, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, and the fourth season of High School DxD, as well as the mainstream Spice and Wolf reboot, the cult classic Rokka no Yuusha, and the Higurashi reboot/sequel.

I think the story could hold its own even without all the over the top fanservice. I feel like the tits every 5 seconds turns off a lot of people from the show. I hope we eventually get a season 5

OMG, cut some slack on Issei, man. He turned into a demon just recently and he is still getting used to her own body, let alone an entire different world of entities and powers he has to get used to. You are used to the cliche "MC earns a power and instantly knows how to use it" thing. This show has a very good progression of strength and power ups, and the power system gets updated little by little. Just have some patience, he is slowly but surely leveling up. Btw, your strength is not based on the pieces you have inside you, it's the other way around. It is because he has great strong potential that he could only revive by using all the Pawns. If you remember Raynare said that he had something inside him before killing him so yeah, the potential is there, he is just learning how to use it.

Symphogear is fantastic. Great soundtrack, great animation, and the series gets better every season. In some ways it reminded me of a Marvel Comics epic.

High School DxD is from studio TNK, who also did the legendary "sus" anime SCHOOL DAYS (which is worth watching too, but has a really different feel) and silly, sus, cheeky, and very crazy comedy DAIAMIDALER: PRINCE VS. PENGUIN EMPIRE which is every bit as insane as it sounds and a lot of un, and the dark revenge sword-and-sorcery "how is this not hentai?" REDO OF HEALER (probably too much sex and violence for this channel, though it is a TV anime and not a hentai; don't watch the censored version if you don't want to just watch a blacked out screen for half of the episode) but it does has a strong storyline and characters).

Yes, each chess piece has a numerical value to it that relates to power (not going to get too deep into it as there is a spoiler factor to it). Needless to say, the pawn has the lowest numerical value and is the weakest among the pieces... but because Issei consumed all eight of Rias' pawn pieces, based on the base chess pieces alone he has the potential to become the third strongest in Rias' familia, only behind the queen and king. But that's also only speaking in terms of the base chess pieces - there are other factors that determine a demon's strength - for instance, the fact that Issei possesses Boosted Gear, one of the 13 longinus.

With so much ecchi content available you would think Luke would have watch a bunch of ecchi by now. Instead the patreon slots seems to always go to "heavily copyrighted" shows. The reality is that any currently airing or recently aired anime will be heavily policed by copyright. So the simple solution is to NOT react to them now. Wait till the studios are focused elsewhere and then react to them later on. This means patreon slots get used for mature content, and not on the current flavor of the moment battle slop that gets pushed by newbies.

I've suggested School Days before but it got shouted down. Of course that was before Men of Culture had arrived. Let's hope the cultural revolution continues!

For me, I am really happy that it is a show with both the "sus" and the story. I don't think that something like nudity should be able to ruin a story, so I like good stories that have those kinds of things in them as well.

The Comedy aspect of DxD comes across better in dub in my opinion also day 2 of asking Sir Luke to re upload the stream of Danmachi S4 Ep 19-22 the current file says video not found.

Believe it Or not. Dxd was originally a book. Yes a light novel. Written out book not a manga. So that's how it was all made originally. I can't wait and as someone who learned some stuff that will come up I will share the base of what it's from.

There is enough source material for a good few more seasons if I remember. Like way more content in the books. I have seen what's covered in them. And oh boy do they have way more than the 4 seasons that are out so far.

Paradoxally, him not fixing her clothes for her breast is more realistic in that situation. Because if she's dying and if he really cares for her, at that moment his priority isn't if her boob is visible or not, he's not even noticing it anymore. I don't think it removed the sadness of the scene at all, I knew the outcome yet I was emotional here.

But on the sus side I totally agree when you say that all the nipples look the same in that anime, it may be its main flaw (rofl) since there are so many different boobs and since it's so focused on it. Some different shades and size of areolas/nipples would have been welcomed. Still, it's very fun. And at least the story and the characters are also interesting.
