As cringe as it may sound, Food wars is one of my favorite (confort) anime. :)) If you can look past the fan service, the plot is interesting and the character development is nice and encouraging. Can't wait to see Luke's reactions. I think he will like it.

We know that gods are created, so we can presume Father created an "artificial" (i.e solo creation of a deity, not by a collective wishing of humans as a whole) god + a Nora to pair them up from infancy. I mean he's the Conjurer after all, so he's probably one of those types of long-game genius guys you seen in tons of other anime like Jujutsu Kaisen etc as well. We also know it's weird how Yato has survived for centuries despite not having any shrines to himself nor being a known Named god, so we can presume Father is keeping him artificially somehow in existence despite him basically having none of the natural things that would prevent him from evaporating from existence within a century or two w/ no shrines whatsoever like most other gods like him do (hell even his closest "friend" Rabo had a shrine for himself, and he was barely intact in the present day after effectively going into suspended animation, only to be woken up by Nora to BTFO Yato currently (under orders from Father?))

I'm glad you enjoyed Noragami - as you said the art style is incredible, the manga is even more so! I hope you really consider reading it, a lot of questions get answered later, as well as some subtle things that you wouldn't notice until later. (For example the episode that Yukine tells Yato about the Sakura tree. - I won't say more than that in hopes that you do read the manga. Just something to keep in mind.) And yes, I can confirm that all the OVAs, except for the ski trip, are cannon.

I'm glad you enjoyed Noragami! This is actually one of the two anime that have stuck with me enough to actually pick up the manga and finish the story there, since we didn't get more seasons. (The other one was Kekkaishi, really underappreciated show.) The manga is really good, and it keeps up the quality right to the end. Yukine's story is so heartbreaking and inspiring, and the anime only just scratched the surface. It's also only 27 volumes long, so it's not too bad to have as the first manga experience, if you decide to give it a try.

Good news: Noragami manga is finished at 109 chapters and the anime covers about 40, so there's plenty more to adapat. Bad News: It's been so long since S2 (10 years) and if they cover 20 chapters per season, that's about 3 cours worth of episodes to cover, which is very unlikely to happen (edit: i originally said 2 cours because I suck at math whoops) I really want to see a Season 3, but every year my spark of hope gets dimmer and dimmer. Maybe a remake could happen, but remakes aren't always better than the original, so I don't even know if I want that.
