Kowloon is actually an AMAZING show. Very misterious and intriguing. And it will be single season with an original ending, since the original material is not finished yet And Summer Pockets is very calm, slice of life anime based on a Visual Novel. Also very misterious, but the art style is GORGEOUS, and the story is very wholesome. It will run for two Cours, 26 episodes. And yes, the anime overall quality matches the opening all the time

the first one was "a ninja and an assassin under one roof" a story where an assassin who is really good at killing but bad at cleaning up her crimes, meets a ninja whos really bad at killing but has a power that turns things into flowers, which is great for cleaning up killings, team up, or something along those lines xD

Luke, you might want to check out the OP and ED from Mono since you liked the opening from Laid Back Camp. And while you're at it you might please do the endings from Laid Back Camp. Food for the Soul might also be a good one.

Wouldn't lesser known anime by very definition be something lesser known to the community as a whole and thus have low to no votes on YouTube? I never pictured Luke's community to be adventurous enough to watch each and every single anime out there that wasn't recommended by a popular YouTuber. There might not be a point for the adventurous types to post their comment as it will be at the bottom and ignored.

Apocalypse Hotel is being slept on like crazy, it's the best anime of this season. Dinner Table Detective is another one that's being slept on, the OP is by Sawano! For some general hidden gem OPs you should do Princess Principal and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OPs!

I would personally recommend the break blade movie op Fate by kokia. It is one of my favorites because she has such a beautiful singing voice i know you would love it.

If you really want more opinions in comments, there is an anime coming out next season called Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra. It is my favourite LN series with less than 10 volumes without a doubt. Also for an anime that has already been released, check out ishura, as before volume 10 of this LN series came out, it held the spot Mynoghra holds. not to mention it already has 2 seasons.

The singer of the summer pockets opening is the same one who sings no game lo life opening. Her name is Suzuki Konomi also the animation and colorsceme reminds of NGNL

if you are doing WEDNESDAY CAMPANELLA react to her big song" Ikkyu-san" she is a pop singer and does not normally do anime openings. another great one is song Edison on THE FIRST TAKE. I have like 20 of her songs on my play list! I dare you to react to edison on first take and not fall for her, she is so cute!

I'm happy to see many people liking Kowloon's opening. The song is from one of my all time favorite Japanese groups Wednesday Campanella. I've been following them for years now, the songs are always bangers. You should check out their music videos, quality is top notch. FYI: the group changed main singers in 2021. Previously was KOM_I and now Utaha.

Summer Pockets is one of those emotional anime, definitely does have a supernatural element to it. But it's mostly, like most key productions, about telling stories.

The big media companies can easily influence most people under thirty through all the social media platforms. So it's a hype train formula designed sell a product. Don't get me wrong. All of today's music was great, but the market is saturated. So they use social media to reach the target market and get these shows on peoples lips. The rest is human nature. Works every time. lol With that said, it means youtube just ends up being part of the big media hype train. Media companies flood social media platforms with hype. So basically think social influencers, tictokers, ect ==> target audience is stimulated ==> Luke asks for suggestions==> target audience responds with preprogrammed response ==> Luke posts reaction==> target audience is stimulated==> target audience seeks streaming platforms to view said show and purchases copious amounts of licensed, authentic merchandise.==> Corporate profits meet or exceed investors expectation. [The investors are the bankers and board members]==> Dividends are then issues to board and investors to reward them for growing the company.==> And then you just repeat the process.

I love Suzuki Konomi's songs. She also does some of the openings for Re:Zero, like Redo (op1), Realize(op3) and Reweave (op5), which are all bangers.

Summer pockets has been amazing so far, the animation also delivers, and they're done with the whole series before they started airing. Good stuff! I think the people who write that we're never getting to some good stuff that you talk about at the end are somewhat right. To give some perspective, I started watching your channel just before your Attack on Titan reactions and i've been subbed here on patreon since January 2023, so quite a bit of time now. It's 100% true that you've always been choosing what the community votes for, but you have to consider that your audience, well, got much much bigger and it is exponentially harder to recommend something without your comment getting lost in the sheer volume of them. And it's a snowball effect, maybe there's a considerable amount of audience who liked a certain opening but forgot that it exists. If the comment gets lost, then people who know the opening is good won't see it and then won't upvote or talk about it and it just drastically lowers it's chances of ever being seen I remember trying to recommend openings from Shakugan no Shana - every time you asked for openings recommendations i wrote a comment about it, and i wasn't even the only one writing but it was still like 2+ months before it could catch your attention(and i was recommending them before but not as often). Bam - great reaction, you even said that you were surprised you didn't hear about it earlier. It got really nice views too!(like 3-4 times the average video). But it really made me realize that we can't really show you cool but lesser known stuff that easily and in the end we're only getting stuff that's new or hugely popular(there are excpetions obviously). I miss the interaction and the amount of great OP & ED reactions on a weekly basis, i always impatiently awaited these reactions but nowadays it's hard to get excited. But that's just my perspective as a long time viewer. You're still killing it with the anime reactions and other variety stuff though!

0:40 Ninkoro which full title is A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof is peak. It is made by Shaft the studio that made Madoka Magika and the Monogatari Series. The anime has amazing comedy, is really cute, but at the same time really dark, the animation and cinematography is amazing thanks to Shaft animators and director working on this project, the characters are unhinged and funny, etc. I highly recommend it.

The vocal minority is very vocal. lol Looks like Wolf's Rain video is almost at 5,000 views and is filled with hundreds of commets advising of anime prior to 2019 that people would like you to react to Luke. I think you have a diverse audience and you sometimes ignore parts of that audience for whatever reason. We all pay the same amount, so why would you expect those ignored to stay silent? Hoping for them to leave is no better option. So I believe a change is needed. We need a better way. As long as you don't ignore parts of you audience you will do well Luke. Just keep in mind that the anime community extends well beyond youtube and discord. Just remember that the voice of one can become the roar of many. :D How about reacting to the OP and 2 ED's or Gosick. It's a great mystery, romance anime. And it's has the type of romace you like.

Summer Pockets is a Key anime (Clannad, Angel Beats, Charlotte, Air, etc), also the concept (not the writing of said concept) and music are by Jun Maeda, the same guy who wrote Clannad, Angel Beats, Charlotte, Air, etc. All these Key stories wrote by Jun Maeda have supernatural elements, are highly emotional and have fun interactions between characters. You already watched Angel Beats, so it is one example you can use to imagine it. Also most of these stories start as a visual novel (like Doki Doki Literature Club is a VN) or the ones that don't are adapted later into one (Angel Beats is one example).

13:08 I had to check because I thought the voice of the singer reminded me of the one from the opening for the anime called Imsomniacs After School and it actually is the same singer called aiko, or it is the name of the band, I'm not 100% sure. Actually talking about anime where it is a romance between only a guy and a girl, with no love triangle, Imsomniacs After School is exactly what you are searching for. This anime was amazing I highly recommend it.

I think there are some really cool EDs this season NinKoro ED (忍者と殺し屋のふたりぐらし) ballpark de tsukamaete ED (ボールパークでつかまえて！) aru majo ga shinu made ED (ある魔女が死ぬまで) These are all super crazy and good I think!

If you want a nice romance anime with no triangle or other BS, I would recommend Horimiya :) (The characters are high schoolers, but still probably one of the most wholesome one out there)
