IMO having issei be nervous when girls throw themselves at him makes total sense. For as much as he pervs out he is still a teenager who gets shown that perviness directly back. Also he has never refused any of the advances from anyone except asia, who he sees as his duty to protect her because he believes he got her into this mess

Without spoiling anything, here is some more context from the books up to this point: Is Issei lazy: The anime actually leaves out a lot of the training that Issei does. Ever since Asia was turned, he has been doing intensive training for hours every day before school under Rias's watch. Moreover, during the training camp, he was the only one actually training pretty much all day and night. During the night when his powers are enhanced, he was undergoing inhuman levels of exercise. During the morning when he was weakened, it was more normal. The only time he actually got to sleep was during the last night. Effects of light: Because they are devils, they all actually get an enormous power boost when it is night outside. When it is day, their constitutions are similar to that of normal people and they get nerfed pretty hardcore.

i never understood why the anime said there are only 3 of the 72 Pillars remaining in the underworld. According to the light novel there are actually 33 families that are not considered extinct and the Gremory, Sitri, and Phoenix families are just 3 among those 33.

actually the seal releasing thing does get shown and explained in the next episode so I would delete that part since its kinda spoiler Thank you for explaining all the other stuff tho. It sucks how much the anime cuts out and rearranges sometimes.

Remember a prior episode when the bad bitch fallen angel (Raynare) mocked Issei for having a Sacred Gear that duplicates his power? How she went all like "the double of 0 is still 0" and all that? Well, turns out that any amount of training, however small, can exponentially spiral out of limits with Issei, because every little upgrade to his stats will get doubled "ad infinitum", meaning it gets quadrupled, then multiplied by 8, by 16... et cetera. So that's why after so many consecutive boosts, his meagre magical power (nerfed by the sunlight, no less) can become a concentrated blast of raw power capable of blowing the peak of a small mountain. IMO, Issei has one of the more unique yet simple, cool, and powerful yet balanced powers in all anime I've ever seen.
