Adonias PM

What a coincidence! I just finished watching that anime. You'll love it

Zero

About time

Sinbad_Deity

Just got of my shift, working in a kitchen, and I see this.

Jujo online

damn, I slept in after ep.1 yesterday hahaha

Bj Howe

"I don't care what she does, I will never forgive her!!!" .....saved for later.

SouldeLuna

Nice cosplay! We eating good with this anime

dartcp

Of course, the Englishman says that salty grilled squid with sweet peanut butter sounds delicious. Well, we know from other anime that Luck has no taste. After all, he disdains rice ^^ (obviously, that was a joke)

Ben

amazing show

Ardane

Leaving this comment just as episode 2 has ended. Just wanted to to mention that the reactions people have when eating food are pretty much just visual metaphors for what they feel at that moment. So, when Erina taster Soma's food, it was so tasty that it gave her a feeling of being caressed by angel's feathers, alluding to how light and fluffy the food is as well as how heavenly it tastes. The reason the "angels" look like tiny versions of Soma, and why that disturbed her, was because of her feelings towards him being a small and annoying person.

Sage_Mode_Q

Once you get used to the over the top stuff it’s actually a really amazing show. Soma is legit one of my favorite anime protagonists ever

Jujo online

Erinas pause-card saying L.I.C.K. but it sounds like Fe-lo-ny

Daniel Gonzalez

Same I think I actually rank him after Yusuke in overall attitude like he knows when to stand up for himself and has his own values

Daniel Gonzalez

So curious what days do we watch this show I was there for Danmachi and had been been wanting to join another watch along with Luke and Soma is one of my favorite MCs

Yula

And also lots of my favorite voice actors are here. Isshiki is one of Takahiro Sakurais’ best 😍 theres a lot of interesting MC out there

Itto Sanzzo

Our man is looking pretty good.

dylan pennington

Watching this anime is a journey I'm sure you will not regret

Dee Cee

I love this anime! I always am such a heavy critic for everything, but with Food Wars, I just let myself have fun!

dylan pennington

Another food anime is restaurant to another world which I recommend you check out the op and ed

Juho Kaartoaho

He has said he is still waiting for his ban since people get so much more popular after getting banned once.

Deshawn Smith

Food wars manga and anime were both really good. The central arc was the start of it's downfall but after that, it all went downhill. i'm not the only one who feels that way but regardless, it's a good series! Hope you enjoy it

Zer0

1:18:33 Luke will forgive anyone as long as they back the MC.

FullHeart

This anime is so crazy. It unironically taught me how to cook

Sai

Every time Luke shouts "Umai" at the top of his lungs, I feel like my eardrums will explode. It does not help to have my volume at 100% and boosted with headphones! No more. NO MORE! I've seen a lot of Cooking Anime, but this one has the top animation for sure. The one thing hard to watch about this anime for me is, I hate any and all seafood and sea related dishes due to my phobia.

Sai

Waiting for the classic Luke Flip-Flop.

D. L. Pulver

Fun, original and excellently produced series. I'm not a big fan of shonen jump-type shows, but this one consistently held my interest with engaging characters and storytelling.

D. L. Pulver

It's neat when anime do interesting genre twists. Like, this show has the general pacing of a battle shonen (Demon Slayer, Bleach, Dragonball, etc.) but combines it with a school show and a real-world element (learn about cooking) and a sexy twist to make something original.

AngelGxbriel

I am genuinely so happy you have started this, oh how I've been waiting for so long

Neam

I love this show so much so glad your watching it

Matthew Harms

Got to say, when I first watched this I loved it. It was out of curiosity at first. Now I have rewatched the series. Can't wait till Luke sees the other cooking events in the series. Souma is in my top ten of favorite main characters in anime.

brandon

Wow, what a pleasant surprise to see the email for this post. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reacting to this.

Daniel Gonzalez

Nice I work Sunday nights so it was always about striking a balance to watch Danmachi on twitch with everyone but Saturday works perfect for me ill be seeing everyone next week

Majoz

story line is good ngl

Brian Castro

Good anime, and always a nice reaction by you Luke but I would like to make my humble petition to pay a little bit more attention to the subtitles than the chat 🙏 all the best, this is one of my favourite animes

Emeric

I've actually made the "Gotcha Pork Roast" before. (Was curious) It's actually insanely good.

Regill Derenge

he can't. every anime reaction on twitch is ruined because he can't focus.

Daniel Gonzalez

So I was just reminded by the chat on episode 3 I actually thought the dub of this was pretty good up until they absolutely butchered one of my favorites there's absolutely no way you give Erina a valley girl voice she is clearly an ojou sama I don't even blame the VA unless that was their idea i assume they directed her that way for some reason but it is so painful to listen to

Kuma Chan

I don’t understand the hate on Erina…why judge a character so harshly when you’ve only watched a few episodes without understanding her background. She’s a classic tsudere heroine who behaves this way at the beginning to create conflict with the protagonist and loosens up as the story proceeds. I resubscribed specifically to watch this reaction and was very hyper for this, but your harsh judgment towards Erina, one of my favorite characters, makes me really sad.

The Pots

Luke always misses subtitles when looking at chat. this is why I dislike twitch reactions

Matei

the way she s acting in the first part of the show is really bad. you are just really biased if you can t understand him. i also like erina since i saw the entire show, but open your eyes a lil and you ll understand luke

Kuma Chan

Lol how am I really biased by posting a single honest comment. We all have shows/characters we don’t like and that’s okay. But he said repeatedly in this stream that he hates Erina, that she’s annoying etc. to the point that it became a bit painful for me to watch. Imagine your favorite show/character being bashed repeatedly, you wouldn’t feel too good, right? Anyways I’m just saying I feel hurtful, not attacking Luke’s character in any way.

The Pots

the subs luke is using ain't good. first time hearing "The Ten" instead of "Elite Ten"

The Pots

you need to understand that Luke is just starting the series man. is Erina ur favorite when the series was just starting? don't include your perspective about her from the later seasons anyone who watches the series can easily hate Erina at the beginning lol

AB Palmolja

Please Luke make sure to read the subtitles! Don't forget the white ones on top of the screen too, they sometimes have explanations of certain techniques and phases!!

DreadHead

So glad to see another convert to the awesomeness that is Food Wars! Seriously tho, any trailers or vids you'll see and it's own reputation is such a huge barrier of entry for people to get over that so few people even bother to give it a chance and just lable it as "ecchi trash" when there's so much more to it than that. So few reactors I watch bother with this so I'm thrilled Luke's giving it a fair shake!

Earl Preston

just finished episode 4 here. Food wars is amazing. Nothing like getting all worked up over food like your life depended on it!!

Earl Preston

The best thing is the cutscene style during the cooking session when they draw the straight lines in the back and pan over the still frame. It's totally out of the oriignla NES Ninja Gaiden series. Totally awesome. Anytime you have epic thunderous operatic music and a countdown with high stakes you make anything super dramatic. You could have a lawn mowing competition end up like a world championship in whatever your favorite sport is. Just hanging on to every second wondering whats going to happen. This is tons of fun :)

Decayed Lulzul

Listened to this while at work like a podcast and Holy the first episode with no video sounds absolutely NSFW

StrykerEvol

Why are some people in chat getting all butthurt over the characters' ages? Bro, they are fictional characters with the looks (some at least) of early 20. Like bro, come on. Just let everyone enjoy the show.

StrykerEvol

Remember Luke. Not every dish will blow off the cloths. The nude parts are only for the climax of an episode. Wait... That sounds wrong...

Ishtar1339

I really love this show XD

Hououin Kyouma

Nah, the recipes of this anime don't make sense. Sadly, many of them sound cool in theory, but they will never actually turn out to be good food. Season 1 is actually good, but as the story progresses, it becomes more and more ridiculous.

WhiteHairedPleb

Can't believe I didn't see this for 2 months I audibly gasped when I saw it, peak!

Deknas

I didn't realize this until around 1:50:29.... what your describing is the McGivor of food.

Sei

Luke should be open to enemies to lovers trope

Zero

Time to rewatch Food Wards let's goooooo!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
