The uncensored version isn't just uncensored, it's the home releases so it is a higher frame rate and has a lot of animation improvements for sections that got rushed to make it in time for the TV release date

God I'm so hyped, this is my second favorite part after 7, Josuke is my favorite jojo and this part has so many great episodes

I was sceptical that Jotaro returned for part 4, but it turns out very well. Jotaro didn't really feel like a main character due to his extreme stoicism, hence the "Polnareff's Bizarre Adventure" memes, but he works VERY well as a side character.

From part 4 onward you REALLY need to look into uncensored subtitles. A vast majority of stands are gonna have music-related names and they're ALL gonna be censored. For example, Josuke's Crazy Diamond (reference to the song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond") is translated to Shining Diamond. Like, imagine if they translated Star Platinum to Comet Silver. That's what they do to nearly EVERY stand from part 4 onward.

Ah. we finally reach this series. I actually watched the live action "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable" and really liked it. Now I get to see the series it was based on. So far, I like the live action Josuke more, but I'm sure that can change.

A little lingustic trivia about why Josuke is nicknamed JoJo despite not having "Jo" in last name. His first name is spelled 仗助 the first character can be read as "Jo" and second character can be read as either "suke" (getting the Jo-suke) like in a word "助けて" (tasukete) which uses "suke" reading or as "Jo" like in a word 援助 (enjo) which uses "Jo" reading so it's kind of a japanese wordplay to have him named Josuke in a way that can also be read as "JoJo"

I've been waiting so long for you to find out our sly fox Joseph ended up having a bastard after every time you made a joke about him staying faithful to Suzie Q xD Also to clarify the way to pronounce Josuke's name, the ending is not "kee" but "kay". Basically the same as Sasuke from Naruto And yes Koichi is voiced by Kaji Yuuki, also the voice of Eren from AoT and Hyodo Issei of Highschool DxD

It’s not a bad translation it’s because the music industry is so copyright heavy the anime might not be allowed to be released in America or anywhere in the west if companies try to sue the series for copyright infringement. So to try and avoid the has they change the names to something else. Don’t blame the translators, blame the music industry for being too greedy.

This was my first JoJo series. I watched the first few episodes of this part on a certain pink floyd like substance and I have to say it was an amazing experience. Had me hooked instantly with the colors, insane characters, and weird complex powers.

Yeah, part 4 has a pretty drastic art style change from part 3, in both the design of the characters and the overall color palate. It threw me off too when I watched it, especially considering characters we already know (like Jotaro) look so different.
