Dude you're 4 parts in and you still can't accept that monologues are just part of the show. There were so many times where Jonathan, Joseph and Jotaro could've shut the hell up and finished fights but they decided to do a monologue instead. Deal with it. You'll be seeing the same thing up until part 9

I don't understand how often he messes up pronunciations of names when they are constantly saying the names he messes up. How do you hear them say something else and make the conscious choice to never correct yourself, or even start saying the wrong thing to begin with?

i do sometimes wonder if some of the things luke says are jokes. when people are talking and everyone is stood still, thats because a manga panel is in an instant but the anime obviously isn't a still picture so they still have to talk. no josuke isn't letting koichi be choked, this is happening instantly, as it does in every anime ever made.

You have to have some suspension of disbelief when watching anime. The characters are going to sit and talk about how cool their ability is, it's extremely common in anime. It's because in manga there aren't any pauses, they just put whatever they say in a speech bubble. In anime it can be a bit awkward to add all that dialog and still keep things flowing
