Krolliox

Wow, so Hakkyu actually won, damn, was hoping any other sport anime to win, missed the live stream to vote.

AM

Literally been waiting for this for two years. Luke will love Kurosino

Meh123

Its finally time for peak fiction!

躺平

oh my god we finally got haikyuu

argonenero

FINALLYYYYYYY. You'd never regret watching this anime

Elle2128

HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS STARTING?!?! When are livestreams happening?!?

Iron_claw

? Only 3 episodes dosnt Luke always react to at least 4 episodes sometimes 5 episodes what happened

Bonezza

Oh my, I hope we will get Kuroko someday

Anime Patriots

Damn, I wish the reaction is not on livestream. It is what it is then

Lero Ro

EN SERIO HAIKYU Y NO SLAM DUNK??? INCLUSO HAJIME NO IPPO ES MIL VECES MEJOR QUE HAIKYU, que perdía de tiempo.

Majoz

no way bro said: how tall is 188 centimeters in normal. brother, centimeters is far more widely used haha

Lu C

His streaming room is also a guest room And Luke usually reacts to 4-5 episodes, but there are still days where he has to do less, and there are days he manages to do more It's flexible

Lu C

From now Haikyuu will SUNDAYS 20:30 GMT on Twitch, check out the Weekly schedule posted on his YT channel (there can be still some schedule change) Vods will be posted next day here

Iron_claw

I'm going to ask him next live stream if he can put chat in emot only mode that way he's not distracted by them. And if he has any questions? He can just take chat out of emot only mode really quick ask chat a question then chat can answer, and then put chat back into emot, only mode. Or he can keep chat in emot, only mode the entire episode and then in between episodes he can take chat out of emot only mode, talk to chat. Ask them questions, interact with them for 5 to 10 to 15 minutes however, much he wants. And then once he starts the next episode, he puts chat back in the emot only mode again. I think that would fix a lot luke's distraction problems.

Lero Ro

Feos gustos tienes.

Kiwi

Absolutely goated anime

Phillip Grischa

For real. Metric is used almost everywhere, the US is the outlier. The imperial system is a lot of things but not "normal"

Ultimatum

please turn off the chat for the next episodes

AppyBappy

It was voted on by chat. Hajime no Ippo was 2nd. You should have been there yo vote if you wanted something else

Lero Ro

My bad, I'll wait for the next tournament

Sai

Yeah, well the US got it from the brits and Luke is a brit. Deal with it.

Tim

so you guys dont measure yourselves in feet and inches like everyone else..... ok

Rory

Luke, I am so happy that you are reacting to my 2nd favorite anime of all time. This is an exciting journey. What's great about this series is there is zero filler. It's not complete yet. We have one more movie to complete the series. Please make sure that you watch the movies. They are essential to the series.

Jordan Grinde

HAIKYUU CAPTURED ANOTHER ONE YESSSSS. Enjoy Luke

MonographicSingleheaded

56:44 ye I dont know but the captain guy FOR SURE gives me the deliquent vibes lmao <3 hahahahah. like, he was a leader of a group and on his way to become a yakuza bt changed and decided to go for sports instead hahahah. I do not know tho, just vibes. XDD

Nate Ming

Japanese coworker: "what's that one popular anime, the volleyball one?" me: "oh, it's called Haikyu!!" them: "...it's just called 'Volleyball!!' that's its title?" me: "yeah lol"

EMMIL

Aghhh I didn’t know this was coming!!! Yay!!! Haikyuu is pretty high up on my sports favs. Run with the Wind is #1 for me being a former runner, Kuroko’s Basketball has a special nostalgic place in my heart, and the manga Real kills me with its perfection. But Haikyuu always made me laugh the most!! I have to say, it’s the one show I think the dub is superior for. The comedy gags pass so much better that way haha

Majoz

u say everyone else like feet is the norm, 95% of the world uses the metric btw

Kanogawa_Hiro92

The Imperial system is only used in the US and the UK, while the rest of the world uses metric. And no, we don't measure our dick in inches and feet.

みるてん

welcome to luke watching chat for 3 episodes.

Majoz

HAHAHA

Vivasketch

GWAAAA! I love Haikyuu!! 🥹💜 I can’t wait to see you react to more 🥰

Kyle Garrett

My first ever Sports anime was Prince of Tennis and man did it give me a very skewed expectation for what other Sports anime would be like. Kind of sad Luke isn't getting misled the same way with his first sports anime, but this probably is the smarter way to do it if we want him to ever watch sports anime again. lol

Mason

PLS do not watch Dub anime lmao 😴😴😴

Savingstumps

I always thought the song was called Life goes on, but nope its Jack and Diane.

Recon

This is the only anime I found myself not breathing, literally. The games are so intense and immersive. I felt like I was there with them in the court and the emotions are raw and palatable that I caught myself holding my breath for so long that I had to take deep breaths and remind myself that it is just a show. I can't wait for you to see this masterpiece for yourself.

Alfredo Santos

Which days or how often is he going to watch haikyuu?

Lu C

Once a week on Sundays

Alex7979

💜💜 i Love Haikyuuuuu.Enjoy Luke 🥳🥳

Iron_claw

? What? Please tell me your joking there are plenty of anime that are just as good in the English dub as they are in the subbed and while yes most anime around 90% are better subbed there are a small 8% of anime that are just as good in the English dub as they are in the sub and 2% of anime are better English dubbed than subbed.

Roli D. Great

Luke, 'Karasu' from 'Karasuno' literally means 'crow'. No wonder they are called crows that can't fly.

astricalex

So happy ur enjoying this ❤️

TrySky

I’m so damn excited

ValeMare

I do sometimes find myself wishing he would put chat in emote so he doesn’t have to rewind and reread every third subtitle… I still enjoy his reactions tho, just not as much as I probably would if he didn’t get quite as distracted by chat and tangents…

ValeMare

Or at least edit these down a bit for Patreon so I don’t have to skip each 40 - 80 second chunk of tangent discussion…

Bryan Ross

In my head I'll be comparing this to Kuroko no Basket a lot, since that's the only other long sports anime I've watched. I already see some comparisons just in the first episode, I wonder how similar or dissimilar they'll end up being in the end

Sakura Minamino

Me realizing that most of chat doesn't realize it's you can't touch the ball twice in a row and technically you can touch a ball twice just not back to back. Also when I was growing up, in volleyball, you used to not be able to score unless your team served the ball. Made games waaaaay longer. Now its wherever the ball lands.

Bryan Ross

Honestly so far I like Kuroko better, I find the characters a lot more likeable

Orkidaisy

I'm so glad you're finally watching this. I'll try to find time to watch these reactions. It really is amazing and so realistic (excluding some shonen moments). I've played myself when I was younger and I really resonated with many moments, and high profile volleyball professionals have also reacted to it and absolutely adored it. That tells volumes about the quality of the source material and animation.

Orkidaisy

I'm glad you liked these 3 episodes. A lot of people think the start is slow, and I guess it kind of is, but I like that we build a proper understanding of our characters and then build on that. Looking forward to your reactions! Your take on the series is spot on :)

shlomit5577

Was there no episodes this week or am I missing something?

TrySky

I don't fully disagree with you but normally the dub can be better because its funnior or more comedic not because it emphasizes emotions better. Do you have any examples? Personally I like the dragon ball dub, the naruto dub, the soul eater dub, and MAYBE the solo leveling dub better but those are the only ones and I've seen 600+ animes.

TrySky

Why?

Mason

Im not i really hope he doesnt watch another dub anime like it happened with FMAB i dont get why watch it in dub if the original is way way wayyyyy better

Mason

I Mean i grew up watching Dragon ball on dub (Spanish) it holds a special place in my heart, but after watching Dragon ball super on Japanese i learned to love it and now i prefer it more than the dub(spanish) and also I hate that the DB english dub changes the soundtrack of almost everything lol

Krolliox

I do think Haikkyu is good, but it's WAY too overhype, and there are far better sports anime.

dEvilYash99

LETS GOOO FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY FOR SO LONG

Thanny

16:08 That has to be "Jack & Diane" by John Cougar Mellencamp. Definitely not a punk song.

marco masento

please react to the opening separately if you can

Phoenix_mercury

Because some people prefer to watch in their main language, for accessibility (I watch another channel that *only* does dub for this reason), because they want to, because they can

Phoenix_mercury

Brit here, we use both systems(a pint of milk, a litre of water, a kilogramme of sugar, a pound of flour)🤣🤷it's fun

Sei

Oh nooo I was hesitant to watch this because I thought chat would be weird shippers but my fear was right

Sei

I hope Umamusume Cinderella gray win next or Koruko no Basket

Dairenji

16:35 IT'S FUCKING JACK & DIANE GOD HOW DOES YOUR CHAT NOT KNOW AT THAT POINT???

Dairenji

17:03 SOMEONE GAVE YOU THE SIMPSONS PARODY BEFORE THE ACTUAL SONG?? I'M FUCKING DYING HERE AM I REALLY THAT OLD???

Dairenji

AND YOU JUST TOOK IT AT THAT?? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
