Pieces of song cry is related to him & Beyoncé, but the song combines a few relationships he has had in the past to explain how he could not physically show his emotions in real time so he put it in a song. The song actually came out before they were together in 2001. He does a remixed version that he wrote for her either for 2018 tour or one night of this tour.

Just realised the main reason why Bey and Jay love paris so much beside bey's creole heritage (mainly but jay's too maybe) and all that is because on top of getting engaged there, conceiving Blue there, Bey staying there when they were seperated they also kinda saved or entered the process of saving their marriage in Paris too. OTR I had a single date in Europe and it was Paris considering that whole segment and the reason why we know they even went on tour together despite what was going on, Paris definetly was symbolic and their last chance or rather jay's last chance since they were heading for divorce.

Beyonce's performance of Resentment felt like an alchemical metamorphosis of love, pain, rage, her talent, her soul, the lyrics, and her band & backup singers. I think I remember hearing that when she found out about Jay-Z's latest betrayal, she took Blue Ivy & left J for a least a few months. I wonder when in her healing process did she write the songs that would become Lemonade.

So I have to leave another comment right after she finishes with the Lauryn Hill song. Some of the last words are why won’t you cry for me and out of all of the times that I’ve seen this I never put two and two together that right after that Jay-Z performs his song. I think it’s called song cry. That’s basically his equivalent lyrically of crying for her. He says you can’t see it rolling down my eyes so I have to make this song cry. That is masterful even if it’s not about them this to tails such a good story. It is my favorite one. I hate the fact that I had originally gotten tickets to this tour and then sold them because I was afraid to go by myself.

Now I am partially one of the conspiracy theorist that really doesn’t necessarily believe he actually physically cheated on her. I feel like he might’ve stepped out emotionally, but I don’t think there was anything physical. I think she just let the seed of discord fly and the beehive ran with it. Not to say that one is better than the other but it’s just interesting. I think they had problems or have problems in their relationship just like any other couple, but it isn’t this Grand scale, active betrayal that it’s grown into. I think that’s why she stays quiet about it. I honestly also disagree with her point of view that forgiveness is the final act of love and that to truly forgive somebody the only way you can show you love them is giving up your right to feel the way you feel. Unconditional love does not require unconditional acceptance in my opinion.
