So at 8:22 you were talking about the difficulty of the robots. Think about it, not everybody makes it and that's by design, you want the strongest, fastest, quickest thinking to be admitted. If they are to slow, not quick thinking or cowards you wouldn't want them anyway. This show is really good at taking characters that look like bad guys being good to get around stereotyping the traditional villain look. They will explain everything on the transfer of power

I've seen the entire MHA series, but I always hated on it. But I guess it's not because it was objectively bad, but because of how slow it was. I have it written in my notes "flashbacks - the anime". There are some episodes later in the show, where it feels like barely anything happens, because recaps and flashbacks take up half of the episode. I would have preferred, if they cut out the flashbacks and made a 10 minute episode instead. Yeah, there are some scenes where flashbacks build up to an impact, but they're way overused here. That's genuinely the only main bad thing I can say about the series, and, sadly, it's the reason why I'm not a big fan of it.

ngl mha doesnt even use flashbacks that much (and all of them make sense/the character has a great reason to think of their past) especially compared to a ton of other shows like demon slayer for example

My Hero Academia has one of THE strongest beginnings of any anime I have seen. Even if I did not like later seasons you are absolutely going to love everything that happens this season. Can't wait for you to react to some of the classic scenes from this series.

This show definitely scratches that superhero itch. It reminds me of the old school X-men cartoons from the 90s, every person is so interesting and the way they incorporate powers is awesome. Can't wait for more!!! :D :D

Izuku is my fave Protagonist because he is so good at thinking and analysing on the spot and can make plans for the situation, Broken arms and legs falling from the sky yet still asceses the situation and makes a plan the try and survive it might not of worked luckily he was saved but he had a plan so quickly its a trait i love in a MC

So now Luke has to watch the new seasons of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Dr. Stone, RE:ZERO, and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, on top of finishing Hell's Paradise, and sentenced to be a hero, and continuing the My Hero Academia, Jojo's bizarre adventure Steel ball run, and Haikyu, and starting one piece. Thats 10 anime and he's already way behind it's gonna be fun watching him try and catch up to where he should be because of the constant set backs due to weddings or unfortunate circumstances like what's happening on Twitch either way im hear for it all. Oh I almost forgot about Avatar so 11 shows.

8:00 a lot of people are not struggling since compared to Izuku, they had their quirk or abilities since 4 or 5 years old.. They know how to use it... The zero pointer is so big and powerful that if you notice the name "0P" it is overpowered😉

If you are so against flashbacks, then dont bother watching naruto (both OG and shippuden) if you haven't seen it yet since it has tons of flashbacks... Compared to naruto, MHA significantly has less flashbacks and if the episode has one, it takes only a few seconds to a couple of minutes...

Uraraka (the girl who made things float) doesn't actually have rainbow sparkle vomit as part of her power set, that's just anime visual shorthand for 'funny moment where a character throws up, but that looks gross, so here's something pretty to keep it lighthearted but you know what's actually happening'. She just lost her lunch the exact same way we all do after slapping people to make them float.

To explain why MHA is hated because mainly season 4... (we know why it's loved, decent story, epic music, epic animation) s8 > s2 > s1 > s3 > s6 > s7 > s5 > s4 Short explanation: Long time to wait + s3 was weaker than s2 which meant s4 had to deliver, s4 did the opposite and people thought it's over for MHA and that it's washed. Even gigguk was hella disappointed and spoke about it. S6&S7 made fans come back. S5 did retain high viewership of whatever left was from s4 viewership. Long explanation: Without spoilers, after investing yourself 3 season and 3 years, you get a season where, there is less animation, ep 1-7 is flashback intertwined with action in a bad way at the start of s4 . Then later on there is an arc which isn't filler but feels like filler. (expect viewership drop from s4 and increased towards the end) During that "filler arc", people complained that it doesn't fit it in the story, and the role was to introduce new characters, but we spent too much time and didn't felt like part of any main story, and more like a side quest. Those characters will have an important role later on so that's why they are introduced, but people wanted max an episode not an arc. PS: it's not filler arc, but feels like filler.

21:07 the problem with a story like that is you get a main character that powers up whenever its convenient for the story and after a while you lose any stakes (which you yourself said makes the story uninteresting) because you know that if the mc is losing they will just power up again to beat whatever obstacle. Think of Dragon ball and how goku just gets new forms

you know what's funny. This is actually part of the anime experience. You always end up with setbacks in so many anime and are behind sometimes and feel like a mountain to climb. I am 100 episodes of one piece behind and I feel like I'll never catch, cuz I need to catch first to a few shows from last season but the new shows from new seasons are starting z.z..... HOLY FUCK MY LIFE and I have videos from luke that I gotta watch x_x.....

It's so good, bro, I'm not spoiling anything, please just give it a try, and if you're not hooked after the first episode, I'll never recommend a show again! It's insanely good!

yeah there are a lot in s4 and s6&s7. S5 is so not memorable (can't even remember what happens but I know every other season). They also gave too much attention to psycho girl. For me MHA is pretty much s1-s3 + s8 (and a bit of s6). [Those 4 seasons carry mha for me]. Also s6 gave such insane premise that I felt like I was gonna attack on titan all over again , buuuut it went the safe route. At least it hooked me enough to finish the show. Rated it overall 9/10 thx to having probably one of the best final seasons of any anime ever. Since s8 is like a 15/10 it balanced some 6.5/10 seasons,

Most of season 4 was genuinely one of my favorites, and I think Luke will like it as well. Don't want to say specifically cause of spoilers, but only a small portion really felt like filler and towards the end was still well done imo.

I asked for the memes the google ai to tell me most hated season and, He said s5 is 'worst' and then 2nd worst is s4. Meanwhile s6 is hella praised. But that's I guess from opinions of people online. S4 had one of the best fights with a villain which is why i will never forget that epic animation .

Bro just described 90% of (battle) shounen. A main character with incredible power but he can't/doesn't know how to use it and slowly becomes able to... Naruto with the 9tails power, Bleach/Ichigo with his spirit power, Eren with the attack titan, Deku with One-for-all, etc. 😅

MHA is great at putting on the feels. It's a bit of a shame though that it kind of threw out its premise only 3 episodes in. We missed out on an alternate story where he stayed quirkless. You'll enjoy the show as is though.

I never saw any reason to give mha hate. I can see some people getting slightly meh on the pacing at times, but personally I had no problems with season 4. Iirc there was only one instance where I remember noticing some pacing issues, but that was more of a recap issue, something one can skip. I had no problems with the manga. I think Luke's going to enjoy all seasons a lot!

This series is amazing. Though if he starts one piece, will need to do at least two episodes at a time. Or do like he did with naruto and do whole arcs (in parts though due to how big some of them are).

When you're a binge watcher, its possible. I could watch about 24-25 episodes a day. Which if you did that, I could theoretically get 100 episodes a week, and then the show in about 10 weeks. Thats about 4 months. Plus watching other reactors on top of keeping up with the anime. And I would watch multiple reactors at the same time when they drop a video. I also started one pieace about 2016-2017 so I've had time to keep up with the other reactors aswell as the anime
