Hell yeah, you’ll love this franchise Luke, one of the best cartoons I’ve ever had the privilege of growing up watching such pure peak and I also love the sequel as well. Edit: General Iroh is the only reason in this entire franchise that made me decided to drink Jasmine Tea and Ginseng Tea🤣🤣🤣

Stathis Krinas

Yasssssss😍 I’ve started this show recently, so glad I’m gonna rewatch it again with you 🙏🏼

Lichmourne

Ooooo yesssss, I went back and watched ATLA and it still holds up to this day. I cant wait to see what characters you fall in love with.

Emily Jewett

What? You haven’t seen this yet? I’m so excited, it’s the best, have fun on the journey ^_^

Whammadoodoo

Oh SNAP the childhood gem is back

ZabluLobsta

WHAT, well, enjoy this shi, good shi my guy, good shi

Maisie

Excellent choice, sir!

Cynavox

ATLA! I'm so glad it won the poll. Do not underestimate this show sir. It is truly legendary. This is not a kid's show despite how the beginning makes it seem

rarebearvt

There is no way I missed the ATLA stream 😭

Joshua Coe

Just saw this so excited that you are getting into this show, it is in my top 10 best shows can’t wait to see all your reactions!

Niklas Struve

I am so happy that you are finally watching this Show, it is one of my favourite Shows Back as a kid and still today

Zen Reacts

Wow AtLA and MHA in the same week? Fucking cool. Hoping that Korra comes after

TEHUTI SEVERIN

I just know Luke is about to have a love-hate relationship with zuko 😂😂

Osborn Malakhov

You've never seen ATLA? Now that I find hard to believe. Well, prepare for an emotional ride I guess

Sylisen E.

How did I miss the live ! Noooooo !

KennethVilla

Hold on. Luke’s back to streaming? Did they at least ban that mf who kept reporting him?

виина

Keep the subs pls. I wach at the evening or when child is sleeping next to me. Your mic is little lauder than the show so subs help me not to wake up this little boy next to me 😅

Grimm Fairy

Because of the way we try to do things, because Korra is a totally new story it will need to win a poll to watch it, like Boruto after Naruto, or Vigilantes after MHA. So make sure you tell your friends to vote when the time comes around if you want it~

Some0neElse

wait... when did this happen?

Leandro Neves

Cannot wait until we get tô see toph

T

This is the greatest cartoon of all time!! You are in for a treat!!

Oatmeal1504

Wish I could've watched the livestream. This show was my childhood and imo the greatest children's show of all time.

M3rlin

this is one of the few shows where each season gets better and better! I'm super excited to rewatch it (for the 77th time) with you! I also look forward to see what you think of (imo) one of the best character arcs ever (I'm not telling who it it though!)

Iron_claw

Im so happy your finally reacting to avatar the last air bender.

Dj

After full metal alchemist brotherhood, i think the last air bender story is up there. I hope you will enjoy it

Sai

Guess we doing cartoons now.

KaitouKay1412

Seems like more ppl want subtitles so I don’t think he’s gonna take them off if not enough ppl don’t want them. Personally I prefer he has them

Matt

Not all viewers are fluent English speakers either, so the subtitles can help them understand too

fry

crossover for me i usually only watch your music/movie reactions and not your anime stuff just cause i don’t watch anime but i jumped when i saw you were doing avatar i had to see it

Rem is best waifu

They chose this over Clannad and Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. Idk what to think about that choice.

Barack O. Llama

you do know the majority of lukes fan base is japanese/foreign, right? so you think they don't deserve subtitles because you're more important than them? touch some grass bro, the world doesn't revolve around you

Mericat

Did you watch the whole video? He literally announced at the end that he’ll have a way to continue all these shows soon and he’s very excited about the opportunity.

Mericat

Very surprised to find out you never watched this before, but you’re going to love it! It’s definitely geared towards older kids and teens.

Mericat

I wonder (hope) if Luke is going to watch the new anime adaption of Witch Hat Atelier

Shad7860

OH MAN YES!!!

Michael

“Once we start a series, we finish it.” Except Kara no Kyoukai for some reason.

Oatmeal1504

Not enough people know about clannad, and FFBD is not all that good tbh. It's a little too perfect and the characters are all a bit boring to watch. It's constant positivity with a little bit of forced and unnatural conflict. And this is a common criticism, so don't act like I pulled this take out of thin air.

Shadow_284

Avatar is fantastic. Give it a chance.

Oatmeal1504

He's only back to streaming non-anime or the very few anime that aren't licensed by crunchyroll. If it's licensed by CR, he can't stream it right now.

Oatmeal1504

I personally hope he doesn't watch Korra. I'm in the group of fans that think it kinda ruins the franchise.

Abraham Perez

As a huge fan of this series, I'm happy Luke will get to finally experience it himself

Shadow_284

I swear everything you comment ends up negative in some way. Why do you bother watching at this point?

Sai

Clannad losing blows my mind.

Alexandre Le Lay

Does anyone want him to react to Invincible?

Ohms

The way I audibly SCREAMED when I saw you were reacting to this! You're in for a treat Luke!

patros36

Not enough people have seen Avatar and it shows....give it a chance and you'll see

Zen Reacts

Cool fuck off then cause i dont wanna talk to you

chakalicious

It was the least voted for in both polls this week

chakalicious

Hello past me!! I see you ☺️

Michelle M Chen

I first watched Avatar in college so it's not just for kids. I still stand by my opinion that avatar is one of the best stories ever created. It is a hill I am happy to die on.

Alex

So hyped, this show is great!

Iron_claw

So at the very end He said he will react to Haikyu gachiakuta, Hell's Paradise, and sentenced to be a hero on discord. But he didn't say anything about patreon so Haikyu, gachiakuta, Hell's Paradise, and sentenced to be a hero all better be hear on patreon as well. Because me and plenty of other people don't have discord and refuse to use discord because of its policies and how often it gets hacked. And some other people might have other reasons why they don't use discord.

Wirk Leon

Wow didn't expect Luke to react to peak

A Guy

Very normal reaction to have korra fans yet again proving they’re incredibly toxic

Zen Reacts

You guys dont have to reply that you dont like it on my comment. Go make your own comment and stop bringing the negativity first you fucking goons

Vinnick

Forgot how quickly you started to get the lore info, about Zuko's past, the Avatar cycle, etc. Glad you're enjoying so far Luke, it's a helluva good show.

Rem is best waifu

I have seen Avatar, I don't dislike it I just was shocked it won against Clannad.

Arketh Adrcn

This is great! Welcome to the best animated series!

Kasjo

omfg I've been waiting for years for this

Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

Luke, I'm curious whether you plan to watch the continuation episodes of Ascendance of a Bookworm that start tomorrow? I'm assuming it'll have to win a poll first, though? I'm jre-watching your reactions to it here, so I thought I'd post the question in case you answer before I'm back to this post by the time the episodes start airing on April 4th. 2026.

DrA

The Goated Avatar.

DrA

The last butterfly nipples will save the world...

A Guy

The gentleman from before put it pretty mildly and I made no such comment in the common section. Prior you went off the handle for no reason.

Grimm Fairy

He wants to catch it weekly but his schedule has been a little messy. If he can, he will react to it around when it comes out. If things get a little rough it may be delayed, but he is planning on watching it.

Grimm Fairy

That's not quite what he said, but all vods will be on Patreon regardless so don't worry.

Grimm Fairy

Garden of Sinners was voted for under a movie vote, and the only thing voted for were the movies that were safe on Twitch. We told people we wouldn't be able to react to it all, they voted for it anyway. Blame ToS.

Grimm Fairy

It's on his radar, but because he has been burned by "Hype of anime that haven't even been released yet" a lot recently, he wants to wait and see what the reaction to a few episodes is like before committing to it. He has been made aware though, and the mod team is keeping an eye on it.

Grimm Fairy

To expand on this, Luke is going to be using a different site to stream these anime but he can't advertise it openly on Twitch, so the link in the Discord shows where he will be going to stream them on Sunday. But, it's still going to be recorded and you will still be able to watch it here. This Sunday is more of a test than a concrete thing to see if we can continue shows safely. We'll let you all know more when we know more.

Hridayinee

Love this!!! Yay so glad you're watching this with us

smth positive_

He had to protect all the villagers before who couldn’t defend themselves on the boat he was by himself so he could focus purely on fighting and escaping

Vivica the witch

Asking so many questions answered by the show so much later that to answer is a spoiler.

Penny

So excited for this!!!!

Iron_claw

Why doesn't he just stream hear on patreon

Sophtatic

I would break it down into book 1 is world building, book 2 is more back story and character developing and book 3 is a good finale

Hridayinee

So happy to watch this series again after years. It does get better and better.

Nate Ming

I am super here for Luke's speculating on bender abilities, WHO KNOWS IF HE'S CORRECT THO

Rook964

Book 3 is soo frkn good ughhhh

Amani

Oh to watch ATLA for the first time again 😌. So good. I’m pretty sure Aang’s obsession with penguins in this show is an Easter egg, because the VA is the same VA for Pablo the Penguin in The Backyardigans

Yase_04

Uuuuuuu didn't expect this and I literally love this yay.

Matthew

Best show ever!!!

Mimi

How do I get on the discord?

Dréa

Oh I did NOT expect this! I'm sat & locked!

Marez Canvas

Have you ever thought about reacting to Dragon Ball z series English version?

Jan Negrey

Be careful where you watch this. AFAIK Paramount deleted at least one very important scene in the Season 1 that completely changes one of the arcs. For worse.

Sian Richardson

Studying pseudo-martial arts, or riding hog monkeys and giant koi? 🤔 Work or fun? Tough decision for a kid. 😅

veeti väisänen

Season 2 and season 3 is considered as the best of avatar when the story starts to glow and pacing getting lot better this might help you to watch rest of this season

Mad Man Moon

Holy crap I just looked it up...if that's true that's absolutely insane...

Nikkelz

Thx for the heads up Jan! We'll be sure he catches it when we get there~

Tico Machi

So happy to see you starting this one!

StrykerEvol

So glad that Avatar won the vote, even though I was convinced it would lose once again. I have been requesting it since you first watched Tensura. 😅

StrykerEvol

Just checked it myself. It's the scene with master Pakku, right? It's a wild choice to delete that part... That literally changes the entire event and obscures his entire later motivation.

Emi

Can't contain my excitement for this one!!!!

StrykerEvol

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet. But there is a sequel after "The last Airbender", called "The Legend of Korra". Which is also really good. And a new upcoming sequel called "Seven Havens", which is supposed to air in 2027.

Aaren YASS

I'm so hyped for this!!! Finally, peak incoming!

StrykerEvol

So... "Butterfly nipples" is Luke's confirmed canon superpower? I feel mixed about this... Sounds really weird, but i also kind of want to see it. 😅

StrykerEvol

You could say, that the Penguins were really chill about the sledding. 😏

StrykerEvol

Luke: "Why doesn't he ask them to train for a bit?" Sokka: "Can you train me?" Yeah... Luke is never gonna beat the pre-watched allegations.

Jan Negrey

I'm not spoiling, but that was huge on CinePals when Kristen reacted to it (before it was uploaded on the Internet - so comments only later told her that she "missed" something important and she checked on other platform and said that she didn't miss anything, it was just cut out of the episode). There are couple more places where they removed something and or re-edited the series (moving around clips within the episode) - however the example I was thinking of, the one you mentioned - that's the most blatantly screwed up part. It doesn't make sense.

Mericat

That’s awesome, thanks for letting me know!

patros36

Technically its still sub as we are watching it in original language and subs enabled lol

Wirk Leon

To be exact from what I read online, episode 18 is cut short by about 7 minutes in the Paramount version of the show. Seems like it's unedited in the Netflix version.

Jan Negrey

That was the case. I know they keep changing this stuff for some reason. I have no idea why.

Sakura Minamino

The elemental nations are very much modeled after certain civilizations. The water tribes are inuit tribes, ones you'd find in Alask for instance. Fire nation is based off of Japanese culture (with some Chinese splashed in there) and Britain colonialism. Airbenders are basically tibetain monks (and why they are called nomads) , and you will see the Earth bender in time (but mostly Chinese influence). Each nation is more than an element, it is an entire culture and basically a country.

EienTakara

need 2 of these every week man🤣

PoshDoll

Have you not seen this!?! OMG I’m SO here for this!!

PoshDoll

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! Avatar Stan! It’s so freaking good 😩

Awsmspaceball

When's the next stream going to be posted?

Apoth

Can we get more of these please 🙏been subscribed for literally ever and I came outta the woodwork after seeing the avatar posting will watch religiously lol

Elder

I wish I can watch this show for the very first time again :') so good!!

SidekickSteph

I know you have a lot going on, and this was kinda just added, but do you know when more ATLA will be coming? Patiently waiting and very excited!

Stathis Krinas

Can we get more ATLA episodes soon please ❤️🙏🏼

Hridayinee

Hey Luke just wondering when the next episodes of Avatar will go up as it's been over a week... many thx

Aizaku Kuroki

OMG ATLA! Finally.. Imprisoned for 10 000 years of waiting.. \o/

Kino M.P

This wasn't as fun when you are young, so you might watched an episode and just dipped it, because it wasn't that fun. it is actually way more enjoyable when you watch it as an adult, or around 16+ age.

Kino M.P

Luke, bro, I've finally found Sokka! Look! (gives you the mirror)

Vivica the witch

I love when Sokka acts like a big bro to Aang

MonographicSingleheaded

( edit 1:30:00 ok seems I was too hasty, it does seem to get better. so far we have explanation of why the prince's actions were that nonsensical, at least ) but aint Avatar boring af ? I just dont enjoy the mentality behind the project as much. tried in the past. Edit ok so far at episode 2 almost done, the conflict aint established very well yet, no clue WHY is the Fire Nation even so angry and attacking everybody, doesnt make much sense so far.

MonographicSingleheaded

the writing seems very surface level, so far. I dont get the hype. everything seems just a pretext for the fights and jokes. that is why i dont enjoy American tv so much. Plus, the fights, with the fire mai guy especially, are really badly written so far imho. and why tf did he even search and captured Ankh if he ended up throwing him overboard? what he even needed Ankh for to begin with? tf is this, where is a goal or stakes or Anything besides the fkin cool factor ?

MonographicSingleheaded

1:04:00 ok so he was sad for a split second and immediately started acting hype about going places and becoming the avatar he never wanted to be. MAKES NO SENSE writing wise. I plan to watch this to form a solid opinion but if this keeps up I wont like this one bit. I am here for Luke and to finally know what I am talking about regarding Avatar.

MonographicSingleheaded

not to mention, the Fire Nation sends ONE KID to search for their mortal enemy, and the kid is guarded by the most chill no fks given old dude and buncha idiots? seriously, wtf is this writing.

polite pluto

Was I the only one who thought whiplash when he said drum movie?

Leigh-Sherri Hays

Like.. wow.. I guess I would work every day at my butterfly nipple powers

Leigh-Sherri Hays

Lol yoy will learn all you need to know in later episodes 😅

Leigh-Sherri Hays

Lol just hang on... Saskatchewan is best character lol

Elias Van Astrea

The writing is masterpiece, but it's an almost 70 episodes show and you're talking about everything watching only the first 1-4 ones. Everything you are saying that makes no sense, it gets explained later. Good writing doesn't explain everything as soon as it happens, it lets you get to learn it in a natural, smooth way, not just spit lore into your face.

Daniel Turchan

Wait WHAT?!?! YOUVE NEVER SEEN ATLA… I may have said this b4 but HOOOOOW TF HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN THIS 😭😂😂

William Love

This first reaction to Avatar is so crazy, i started to tear up when you first saw "Master Gyatsu" and said "this is my kind of teacher"

Dairenji

I really appreciate just how little Luke Actually knows about this show. I figured just through like its cultural impact he would at least know a things like who Aang is, but no. This is great

Daniel Thunberg

I was in Highschool when it started airing and it is the best Nickelodeon show ever.

Tinus Braun

time to rewatch this here on patreon
