hey Luke I'm aware you are a massive tournament arc fan and would love to recommend world trigger as it has a beautiful world balance concept for powers (triggers) . its is often compared to shows like JJK where there is the concept of amount of power(cursed energy) and how you use it. I made sure this video is spoiler free from anything you are currently watching and to make sure it doesn't spoil the show when you come to watch this show. Best paced episode of Bookworm so far. It sucks that we have a week break until the next episode but it feels like Wit is finally hitting their stride with the series. There is still some cut content of course, like the conversation during dinner between Rozemyne and Sylvester, but overall much better than the last 3. Ferdinand and Rozemyne having a petty battle to make the other suffer is hilarious. I am really looking forward to seeing the concert animated.

2:12:54 - actually Luke, S1 was very rushed in terms of content, in S2/S3/S4's pacing. S1 covered like 36-42 eps worth of content from those 24 eps. S2 felt good because it was a climax which S3 went back to building stuff up, and also this season, S4, as well

I was surprised you thought that Ep. 1 of Slime had the same problems as Season 3, when my first impression was that there were major improvements in how they handled the meetings, and the pacing. This episode, the meeting was trying to get the high points with only one sentence for each point being made. They really just barely touched on the issues. The meeting was much longer in reality. Don't worry, the tone of Slime, how they progress the story will change, and I think it doesn't resemble any mood they've set so far. But Season 3 in particular is like the novels. I can't tell yet about Season 4. To me, they are zooming through the set up of this arc, and imo the next few episodes will be much better. Oh, and btw, that Dungeon is a major character in the story. ....... Remember that Agott is only 10yo. How much impulse control and emotional maturity can we expect of her? And she said what her motivation was. She wants to prove that it takes hard work, and Coco was lucky she just walked into the job. Doesn't excuse the worst of her behavior, but it's understandable. ..... In Bookworm, Ferdinand's reaction to Myne's feat was kinda, yeah, it figures, I'm used to this by now. When I was a kid, the school didn't have photocopying, but it did have a mimeograph. You would get the tests or handouts, and the scent was kind of irresistible, which probably wasn't good for us, but we didn't know that.

I have to say that I kind of love this kind of format of watching these weekly shows at once so that I have some time between watching it by my self and then coming back to watch it with Luke. I often ended up waiting day or two, because I really don't like to watch the same episode back to back.

I never thought about the Harry Potter comparison. You could even call her 'The Girl who Lived' since she did technically survive a magical tragedy, and her mother did get caught up in it. Mom didn't really die protecting her, and technically she caused it rather than someone attacking her, so not a perfect comparison, but honestly not THAT different.

I kind of get Agott's perspective honestly. Putting Coco in a life and death situation doesn't make sense, but the rest does. Imagine it's our world, and instead of a spell, Coco used a gun, and ended up shooting her mom accidentally. Mom's in a coma, probably never waking up. Instead of getting in trouble, Coco gets enrolled in a police academy to become a cop. Everyone else spent years training and prepping to get in, while Coco almost kills someone and gets in instantly. Reasonable to be annoyed about that. Then while being instructed on how a gun works, Coco misfires the gun, and her bullet grazes Agott. Again, good reason to be pissed at the person. Then we have this stuff, and Coco just runs after a criminal without notifying their instructor, the other trainees follow to make sure she doesn't get in trouble, and in the process Coco leads them into an ambush. Other trainees try to handle the situation and fight back, but Coco messes with their aim and complicates the situation further. In that scenario I think it makes perfect sense to be like 'This girl shouldn't be here' and to view her as a loose cannon that is more a liability than an asset.
