So happy Luke recognizes that Endeavor is more complicated than first alluded to. Yeah he has done some monstrous things and his reasons don't excuse his actions. But he does have reasons; good or bad is a matter of one personal opinion, and he's not irreparably evil. A lot of reactors ignore tend to ignore layered characters. Not just in MHA either. So its always a breath of fresh air when someone acknowledges it. Not saying anyone has to like Endeavor but people should acknowledge the writing at least.

they freezed because he was scary but JJK and AOT and Solo Leveling have more "aura" scenes that portray the shock and the tension in the air better. For 2017 i thought it was a very good scene. In retrospective he didn't felt as scary as I remember.

My guess is serial killers are probably not that common in MHA world. They've probably never come across pure bloodlust before. Still, for even pro heros to be so caught off guard and frozen is a bit difficult to believe. Not great for their reputation if a stare is enough to scare them.

The characters personal trials are so great in this show . Iida was such a straight forward perfect hero in training & once tragedy hit he was turned toward the wrong path & his friends & the villain helped him see his mistakes

Nothing is scarier than someone with conviction, Stain was ready to fight all of them despite the condition he was in, and it wasnt for a simple "I gotta take over the world" villain

Remember at the entrance exam, Ida assumed Deku figured out the rescue points and saved Uraraka just for personal points and Gain, and Ida had the chance to save Deku in that exam but left him, This mentality was with Ida from the start but now he has to face that through stains judgement now hopefully Ida can reflect on that and become a better hero

i think he had a super strong killing intent that they all felt when he saw endeaver, who he sees as a fake hero because of his lust for power/wanting to beat almight, who stain idolises. so he hated him the most and had an insane killing intent/aura.

I think they were all in shock because Stain was the only one to react instinctively to save Deku when all the heroes were trying to figure it out.

SPOILERS FOR S4-8 What I like is that he acknowledges that he was a horrible father and can't redeem himself and instead looks to atone and be a better person (definitely top 3 characters)

Most stories that deal with abusers have them be monstrous/assholes to everyone, they get away with it by having no-one believe they could be abusers outside of the abused. The writing shows how he has gotten away with it for so long (beyond being rich and powerful) I still see him as one of the most reprehensible characters in this story, BECAUSE he masks his abuse from the world so well

Stain's quirk is called 'Bloodcurdle', so it's possible that last scene was a secondary application or evolution of his power when he's on his last legs... or it could be he's just that sodding terrifying. Jury's still out.

Can't wait for you experience that Endeavor redemption, while it doesn't erase his past, he shows how much he grows as both a father and a hero, but too bad some weirdos fans still want to demonize him for his mistakes, while those same people will go and idolize and call GOAT psychopath villains who're mass murderers, just because they had a sad backstory.

5:40 Not only is Todoroki standing around using his quirks, but Endeavor is someone who is constantly moving around from what we've seen thus far, while using his quirk, which is a "proper" application of the quirk because he made it his own, much like Deku is trying to do

Random fun fact: the author of MHA is a fan of One Piece, and at some point in the past (2002), he made fan art of a character in One Piece for its author; then the One Piece author, to celebrate the completion of MHA, redrew that fan art and used it as cover art for that chapter of One Piece (in 2024).

I still prefer the subs translation overall that's my biggest gripe with the dub they improve some things but overall they change way too much just for the sake of changing it when the original lines are fine as is

Deku prioritizing saving Todoroki over winning in the sports fest has already paid off so much loved that Todoroki immediately dipped when he got Dekus ping and called him his friend too great episode and reaction and like I suggested if the episodes seem to short consider 2 episodes for the weekend 4 per week is where you'd get if you average 2 a week after rounding up which you do in 5 and above is the rule plus you love this show and I don't think it'd be that much a sacrifice for you but only if you can manage

I get what you mean, but we see him trying to change, to be a better father and a hero, he accepts his mistakes and he even doesn't want to be forgiven, so we can like him while knowing he was a PoS, since he's working to be better, and puts his life on the line to show it.

The reason that they were all intimidated was mainly due to the sheer strength of Stain's fanaticism. Believe me when I say that there is a palpable difference between somebody who simply espouses something and somebody who wholeheartedly believes something and will do anything to achieve their goal. They realized that they were facing somebody who was willing to die in order to kill them. That's what made them pause.

A prime example of this is honestly is Lapis in Steven Universe. People pick up the storyline between her and Jasper is about abuse, but because Jasper is the bad guy they act like Jasper was the primary abuser in their "relationship". But the story makes it clear, Lapis was the primary abuser, but many reactors miss that because Lapis is supposed to be on the good guys' side.

Krolliox You wrote with certainty, Not with assumptions of what might be, But what will be. that is clearly a spoiler from someone who has seen the anime/manga fully. If you do not want people calling you out on spoiling, Simply do not write about having expectations for future events. And only write about stuff that has happened from episode 1 to current episode being watched. Instead of writing about stuff that might have been hinted at or implied or even what might be seeing as you clearly can not separate your own future knowledge of the series from current episode knowledge, so any "might be" thing you write about would just be a "will be" in disguise. As for the 2nd part of the first comment Backstories (and character specific moments) help people understand the why's of the behavior of characters in current times. Which can result in people liking characters they would otherwise have disliked. (You may not see it, But the reason people like the character you mention at the beginning is the same reason as why other people like some other characters. It is quite hypocritical to only allow people to forgive Character A's actions but not allow people to forgive Character B's actions. As there is no real right or wrong opinion here to have btw For example: You clearly have forgiven Character A but clearly also condemned Character B, But others might have forgiven Character B and condemned Character A, or forgiven both or condemned both)

I always hated endeavor and I will always will. The fact that he had a redemption arc I hated it. It is not for me to forgive him, it is for todoroki anyway. I will use myself as benchmark. When I hear that a character will have a redemption arc I just hate it more. There is a new anime called: witch hat atelier in there we have a character called Agott. I disliked agott, then those fking retards started saying how she will have a redemption story later on. Sobby past and BS stuff they said. Guess what. I hated her more. She is young so I usually tend to forgive characters after redemption arcs BUT... if someone spoil me i will hold that vendetta not against the person who spoiled but against the 'show' effectively diminishing my viewing experience. WOULD LUKE get his viewer experience destroyed by this? Absolutely not, but be assure that this type of behavior will make others in your life dislike you and they will not even tell you, you will spoil shit for people and they will just make sure to tell you less secrets so you yap less near them so u don't drop stuff they don't wanna hear cuz no self control. So yeah I am not telling you to delete your comment like these guys, you have the right. But I am glad I am rewatching these cuz holy fk. The website I am watching shit has mods in comments and those mods delete comment like yours. Now that's a curated clean experience to watch.
