Lady RedShee

I don't think I've ever reacted to a video drop notification so fast in my life lol, I have been looking forward to this chunk of episodes all week!

Catradora fan

I know some people have said Katara seems out of character in the Southern Raiders but I most certainly do not think so. She was 4 when her mother died and while killing the man responsible she wouldn't feel good about herself. Leaving it almost open ended whether she did the right and mature thing. Possibly my personal favourite episode in Avatar.

SidekickSteph

Yay, some of the best episodes in ATLA!!

Tinus Braun

I missed the stream on Thursday by accident. I am so hyped for these Episodes

Daniel Turchan

Something I love about rewatching this is picking up on the little things… the character growth, the second episode you watched starts out with 2 subtle things, when Zuko tells a joke, Katara feels more comfortable with Zuko’s transition and is still a bit hesitant, but makes a more lighthearted joke instead of insulting him, the next is Toph, when Zuko bends down to give them tea, Toph doesn’t reach for her own tea, she lets Zuko hand it to her, even tho she’s more than capable of it, she learned from Iroh there, old Toph would have grabbed it as soon as he knelt down. I love this show

Kobralex

Jeez, I usually really enjoy lukes reactions, but sometimes I wished he would treat some scenes with at least some of the seriousness they need. His sarcasm and jokes really took overhand that stream, which is a real shame considering the more serious episodes.

Yase_04

Yes. One of my favorite episodes

TomWithtime l

The only thing that felt strange in that episode to me is that she flew off the handle the first time and used blood bending on the wrong guy, but then didn't use it after finding the right guy

Malik Ford

My man uploading everything but your lie in April he’s savoring that last bit

Oatmeal1504

Why do dragons in ATLA look infinitely better than nearly every other dragon throughout anime

Craig

Are we gonna get all five episodes left in the next batch?

Leaf OnHead

I don't want to disrespect Zuko. But MAN could you imagine if Uncle Iroh taught Aang firebending!?

One G. O A. T. One Dream

I can imagine Mai actually found Zukos willingness to betray his nation and his farther all to do what he saw as right, incredible hot! I reckon that "breakup" actually made her more in love than ever before, because she never had much feeling for anything, but Zuko's actions actually made her feel deeply for once and that only hurt more as she then realized how much she actually loved him now that he was gone. This being why she was willing to follow his example and stand up for her own ideals even if it meant giving up everything she had. Thats my head canon, and really just seems to in-between the lines. like Mai never had any care for anything, she just did what people told her to, so this really brings here arc to its conclusion as she finally found a reason she cared for, a reason to feal. So "saving the bf who dumbed me" is really ironic line, because shes really not mad at him at all, she head over heals for him now, loving the man who he has become, way more than she even thought she could. Mean while Tai lee just acted on instinct, shes not a person ruled by fear in the first place, remember Azula got her to join not because she was scared of her, but by threating the people around her. Tai lee could see that if she did not join, Azula would ruin the circus for everyone else. Shes always been about the people around her, so she had to make a choice and obviously Mai was the right choice. she would rather go to prison than lose a friend So is my interpretation, and my explaining this is just to highlight what great character writer looks like.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

ATLA really be the series I rewatched the most and allways come back to with the same glee. Its tragic when it ends but restarting washes that sadness way XD so indeed lol. in the darkest of nights, in my lifes nadir, and when I in my final houre of life comes to end, i will still smile of having gotten to watch and experience ATLA. heck come to think of it, I should tell people to have me watch ATLA if i get Alzheimer's XD

ArtKi

17:50 FUSION.... HAH! Shame Luke hasn't seen DBZ and didn't appreciate the 3 fusion dances this episode.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

There are really only like 2 "bad" eps in ATLA and they bad because they not as perfect as the rest. s1 Yeay! Jurny has started lets goooo!! s2 Yeay Azula, Toph and Iroh! ( and many tears for Appa ) s3 Yeay Zuko redemption! and epic battels! and big time payoffs.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

Shit! I have to rewatch One Piece for the .... hmmm lets see.... lol I have actually legit lost count prop the 11 time if its "season 1" lmao from east blue to Sky Piea, well... that's well above 20 times.

Aaren YASS

Well he was an older man caught off guard. The other guy they had to face head on in a smaller space. She had more of an opportunity to express what she wanted to out in the open.

Aaren YASS

Everything in Avatar is detailed, even during fights. Smudge and stretch is used at a minimum the whole series. That's what makes huge creatures so crazy looking, it's like an illustration.

SidekickSteph

I have also always thought he looks like Steven Tyler 😂

SidekickSteph

I don’t think there are any bad episodes 🤷‍♀️ even the great divide is just Aang practicing being the Avatar, which helps him help others in the future. I’d watch them just hanging out chatting at this point, this world and its characters are that cool.

SidekickSteph

Has he mentioned yet if he will be watching Korra? I really hope he does, I think he’d really enjoy it!

Mimi

I second that and I don't see how Katara is emotionally week.

SidekickSteph

I think Katara’s emotional stability makes total sense. She’s a teenage girl, in a war, who’s experienced trauma and loss, and loads of responsibility. Not to mention she’s experiencing a lot of crazy life rn, being on the road with the Avatar. So her being mature and angry and loving and mean and strong and weak, that all makes sense. Inside Out 2 explains it a lot better than I can 😂

Prowlcorp

It has to be voted. please vote for

Mari

I forgot that katara is so badass in the southern raiders episode, absolute peak

ArtKi

Warden's VA is the same guy who played the warden in the Prison Break TV series.

Jimbo

I believe it's because the first guy was fighting back/firebending at the time which is why she blood bend him to stop him... Whereas the actual killer was already on the ground/old and Zuko subdued him. She didn't need to bloodbend him. Also, it was the middle of the day. No moon out.

ArtKi

And Sentenced to be a Hero.

chakalicious

Yay a live action movie 🍿

Rainet

Moles DO have eyes. They're just very small and usually covered by their own fur and skin. A lot of "blind" animals still have vestigial eyes. That's because most of them didn't evolve from bacteria all the way up to being some eyeless creature; they're a branch from a species that had functioning eyes, that evolved into an ecological niche where their eyes were useless (pretty much always something underground/burrowing). Since they never really have an opportunity to USE their eyes, over generations their eyesight deteriorates as there is no survival benefit to the ones with better eyesight vs the ones with bad eyesight/blindness.

soidos g

It's a shame the series is almost over. I hope Luke gets to react to the movie that comes out on the 25th!! And it can be watched before Korra! Question: Now that he's doing western cartoons, has anyone suggested Luke react to "The Legend of Vox Machina" yet??? Man, I hope so!

Joshua Vaughn

This show is almost perfectly lined up for you to watch the movie after you done!!!!!!

Nikkelz

Vox was in the poll with avatar & invincible. gravity falls was also highly requested during HTTYD so I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up for votes going forward. Korra has to go to vote as has been stated before - different series, separate vote same as boruto. He will be doing the new movie after the series.

Kirisaiteiku

You may feel compelled to check out Korra because ATLA is so good- Don't. A terrible fanfic with horrendous writing, characterization, plot contrivances, retcons, and inconsistencies. 0/10

Kirisaiteiku

That would what is known as a waste of time.

Dairenji

YES Two of my favorite Episodes of the entire Series are in this group.

Dairenji

Teams don't really "win" the Olympics. We do track which countries take home the most golds, but for the most part the Olympics are about each individual competition. Like people hyped up and Talked about Alysa Liu when she won the Gold, but no one really made it about the USA. Just how well she did. There are exceptions (like with Team Competitions), but for the most part it's about the Competitors themselves.

Dairenji

49:50 Considering all the time Luke gets into pointless arguments in chat...and then the ONE TIME they actually have something meaningful to say and I want him to actually look at chat he doesn't Never Stop Being You Luke

Jaime0197

What I learned from watching Luke react to different anime is, he can‘t be serious. He sometimes acts all goofy even if the scene is dark as hell. I would say this is also the case because he reads the chat and doesn’t concentrate on some episodes and therefore doesn’t feel it? But this is what you should expect from him when you watch him react on stream

Dairenji

To my previous comment. This batch has two episodes I care about a lot. Two of my favorite episodes... ...favorite... .... I love The Fire Bending Masters for basically the same reason others do. Luke seems to resonate with it the same. It's a ten out of ten. Great Episode. Now on to the other one... ...The Southern Raiders My Favorite Episode of Avatar The Last Airbender I love this episode BECAUSE it really shows the difference between Aang's Acceptance, and Zuko's Forgiveness. Aang has a misunderstanding between Forgiveness and acceptance. But also Revenge and Closure. Katara NEEDED to confront Yon Rha for Closure. Zuko sees this and is there to stop her from taking it too far. It's a beautiful and poignant episode. It's the best writing in the series It's the episode that made Katara my second favorite character. ...It's the best episode of the show. Also final note. Zuko and Katara are most rational of the series.

Osborn Malakhov

May, our gothic queen. Best girl forreal, will do anything for her man. Avatar's universe got some of the most baddass, amazing women depicted out there.

TheJFKexperience69420

Violence is never the answer. Violence is the Question and the answer is Yes.

Dorran

Forgiveness is absolutely more for your own well-being than it is for the other person's. Always has been, and always will be. The key is reaching that point of accepting that you can never make another person change. The only one that you can change is yourself. For myself, even recently, my ex-wife fundamentally psychologically tortured me for most of a decade in our marriage. She even poisoned the well of the relationship I had built with her daughter with how our relationship ended. For all that, though, with the divorce finalized and the two of them having moved twelve hours away to another state entirely, I don't have to hold onto my anger toward them. What matters is rebuilding my life and focusing on my own well-being. I'm not... entirely sure that I truly forgive her for everything she put me through, but I don't hold onto that burning ember of resentment. I've simply cut ties with her and reached a point where she won't be able to continue to hurt me.

Koga Wolfe

Sun Warrior Guy: But seriously, don't tell anyone. Aang and Zuko: *immediately tells their friends*

Koga Wolfe

It may be a subtitle issue but I thought they were saying "hot squat" not "hop squat" and being firebending training, hot makes more sense than hop.

Prowlcorp

Agreed, the Olympics are more a World event than a National/International event. It is to find the best people, not the best countries

Finelia Braun

And that's where the Zutara ship become one of my faves ever, haha.

Storage Box

Katara is not emotionally weak. Did we forget how she kept her cool, took charge, and saved everyone's asses in the desert? How Sokka said she stepped up to the role of a mother/caregiver with so much strength when their family was falling apart? How she was so patient with Aang when Appa was gone, even when he snapped at her and rejected her comfort multiple times. How she gave up the chance to see her dad after years because she knew Sokka wanted to see him? Imo Season 3 is just Katara finally cracking under the pressure of keeping it together for so long. A few moments of weakness don't make her emotionally weak or immature.

Kirisaiteiku

Same for real. If this was an ordinary reaction I think he would. But whenever it's a stream he feels the need to entertain his chat which often comes at the cost of serious moments of themes in what he's reacting too.

Kirisaiteiku

Like I imagine if he had did AOT as a stream instead he'd be like "WOAH that's a big dude! look at those muscles! *kicks in gate* HE DOESN'T SKIP LEG DAY HAHAHAHAHAH" lol No hate on Luke but come on man

shiro kun

I agree 1000000% Thank you for putting it into words!!!!!

Aaren YASS

Let's not front, we'd be the same as Katara. If I saw my mom alive, leave, come back to her brutally murdered and they never caught the guy!!! No justice! You can't leave that be. Aang is right, but you still need justice. You don't gotta kill em if you don't want to, but the only reason you can forgive is if it's: A, impossible to do anything about. B, discipline and consequences are already being handled. (I also think Sokka never saw their mother's corpse and he doesn't feel guilty the way Katara does. Cuz he flew off the handle immediately when Yue or Suki were in question)

zaseum tikoro2

this is the nature of a livestream, we need to expect a low quality content when the frame is all green 😭.

Daniel Thunberg

Katara was blood-bending on a night without a full moon showing that she is Much stronger than Hama (the puppeteer).

mate mzhavanadze

BTW, in the morning after Zuko leaves the tent, Sokka is stringing together a Hawaiian necklace with flowers, and that necklace is called Lei. It's supposed to be a pun because Sokka got Lei'd, as in he got Laid

Aidan A Phifer

The warden said so earlier that he would sooner drown in the boiling lake himself than see even a single prisoner escape. And judging by his later actions he completely meant it. Him telling his guards to cut the line is a kind of follow through on his character. Interesting choice though for him to say that when it would directly put the Crown Princess in danger as well.

Aidan A Phifer

I loved the lesson on revenge. A lot of misery and pain in the world, inflicted and self-inflicted, can be attributed to choosing hate and revenge. Many people look you in the eye and tell you that hate is actually harder than forgiveness and act like its something noble and strong. In reality hatred and revenge are very easy to give in to and people who get stuck in that cycle will never heal or know peace in life.

Lany Tai

She couldn't use it on the second guy. It wasn't a full moon night.

Iron_claw

Your not kidding luke has the humor of a 90 year old man who tells the same joke 20 times and thinks that everyone else finds it just as funny as the first time when its not its just annoying and he is such a cringe cornball that his jokes which aren't even slightly funny not even a little bit make me want to bash my head against a wall or shove 2 pencil into both of my ears

Diesel Marcus

Woof, tell us how you really feel XD

Diesel Marcus

"I didn't wash my hands Vegeta!" "What?" XD
