With the Super Bowl situation… you have to understand that Tar is very supportive of his girl regardless of the situation. And that is why I believe that she’s going to to be performing. He is her true love and true love is always there with you no matter the circumstances. But then again all we have to do is just wait and see 🤗

I saw The Eagles at the Sphere last year and it was a very cool experience, but I couldn't help but feel that if I were actually a big Eagles fan (I like them, but don't know their music well), it wouldn't have been my favorite way to see them. The visuals are amazing, but most seats are very far from the stage and those that are closer don't get the full experience of the visuals. I felt like I might as well have been watching an immersive music video, which is cool, but not the experience I'd want for a live Taylor Swift show, for example. I would highly suggest experiencing the Sphere for their daily shows or movie showings that they do on occasion and not for an artist that you're a big fan of, personally.

I think the concept for her next album after midnights was supposed to be orange (with green/turquoise, purple, and white — lots of nods to those colors in the mvs), and potentially even showgirl/fame-adjacent. Some of the songs on TTPD would fit: WAOLOM, Clara Bow, thanK you aIMee, Cassandra, amongst others, I’m sure. And she probably had some of the Matty-yearning songs in her mind since folklore (or earlier) and then after everything happened, put them on TTPD since that was all done and buried for good. Then the actual Showgirl songs were born and written when she said they were, and obviously were probably even more offensive than what she could’ve even imagined now that she’s so happy.

I truly think that when Taylor was writing Midnights, she was planning the Eras Tour and the album that she wanted to create as she was touring. I agree with Bonny about the lyric "if rusting my sparkling summer was the goal". I think Taylor knew she was going on the Eras tour, and that she wanted to write about the experience along the way. Which would mean she would have started planning the Showgirl concept!

Ouch. No need to be rude. So you disagree with me? That is totally fine. I loved the podcast episode and am so happy to see how happy she appears to be. In my experience however, pain, loss, and grief do not simply disappear even when our lives improve. I wouldn't mind seeing Taylor challenge us by showing us the ways that grief or betrayal by a former loved one can stick with you in complicated ways. Bonnie and Emily have been really clear about their desire for us to keep this space one where we are kind to each other even when we disagree. I hope we all can strive to live up to those standards.

I don't know how this happened, but in the last few years everyone started to believe that she plans future albums so many years in advance and that everything is an Easter Egg, but I don't know if I believe that... Another very reasonable explanation is that she just took inspiration from what she had created for the Eras Tour, instead of the Eras Tour being an Easter Egg for TLOAS. Maybe she just really liked the visuals she had created for the TTPD part of the Eras Tour and wanted to continue from that. That's how people develop their taste after all. They dip their toes into a new style or aesthetics, they like it, they get more into it. The pop songs on RED aren't an Easter Egg for 1989, they are just a signal that her taste was evolving into that direction, and so it could be for the showgirl aesthetic in the TTPD set. That would also make more sense to me considered she actually started working on the album in Europe.

I thought the vegas residency is a no but what about instead of stadium tours is all in theatres for example you going to see a play. So show girls inspired smaller venues but much more curated I guess. Specially how she wanted the eras tour to be different and thought of what to give the fans every second. I just think that Taylor as the main writer/creator of all of her songs and albums, doesn't necessarily plan everything out years in advance. She just has recurring ideas, metaphores, visions, words, concepts, and they all flow one into the other as time goes and as she releases new stuff. I am about 100% sure that she didn't plan Showgirl during Ttpd or Midnights, etc. She is just the main woman who comes up with all these ideas, so of course her last few albums will have a lot of similarities and ctoss overs, especially now that she releases music so frequently. As for the vibe of the album I have a feeling of it being some mix of New Romantics, Wonderland on one side and Anti Hero, Lavander Haze, Bejeweled on the other side. Idk if that's the sound, but it is just the vibe I'm getting.

I think everyone including Taylor knew an orange album would be soon as there were only so many heart emojis and she probably had ideas of what colors would be complimentary to orange. So I think she knew putting a little bit of those colors in midnight could easily tie to the future era. I don’t think she knew exactly the theme other than the idea she would create it while on tour and she certainly didn’t write this in the past. I am going to believe Taylor when she wrote this album about her life on the this tour aka the eras tour. I am also going to believe her when she says there are no more songs and that the album is upbeat because life was more upbeat. I’m not saying there will be no sadness or anger or frustration in some songs but I don’t think that will be the main subject matter. The predictions I am seeing for subject matter of the songs are all so sad and depressing.

She did say in a midnights interview with Jimmy when she sort of announced eras tour that she is wondering if she can plan something 2 years in advance and said..I think I'm gonna try. I wonder if she planned certain elements e.g. orange colour for an album, put an orange door at the end of the show and whatever she might make next time tie into that - she could have planned something like this without knowing what she might end up writing. Even if orange didn't work for a next project she could use it for something else later e.g. she could link it into her film one day and say that was an Easter egg 5y in advance. Some eggs can be quite easy to link back into new work. Or she could pick something e.g. from lwymmd video and tie it visually into this album and say that was an Easter egg all along 🤷‍♀️

I could see it both ways too. Even if trav is in the superbowl I don't think he would feel Taylor would be "stealing his spotlight" if she did the half time show... he would think that's epic. We are starting to draw the connection from The Prophecy on TTPD to the Fate Of Ophelia. I have a small Twitter thread on it. &Juliet is a musical with all max martin produced songs and the concept is William Shakespeare’s wife Anne hates how depressing Romeo & Juliet is and tells him to change Juliet’s fate. Taylor said making this album felt like catching lightning in a bottle which is the lyric from beginning of prophecy. So the Fate of Ophelia is gonna be the bridge from TTPD and it’s going to reference Prophecy. Ophelia’s fate will be changed.

I don’t know, it just feels kind of icky to me to imagine that Taylor would let a decision about doing the Super Bowl or not doing it have anything to do with her boyfriend. If Travis is who we have seen him be toward her, he is not the type to be worried about or threatened by her success, regardless of whether he’s playing in that game or not. She was very clearly Easter Egging for SOMETHING with the specific numbers she mentioned, and given what she said, it’s hard to imagine what else she could be hinting at. She mentioned thinking about sourdough 60% of the time. She also repeatedly mentioned the number 47. Super Bowl 60 is going to be played in Santa Clara, at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, whose mascot is “Sourdough Sam”. That stadium was also the venue of the 47th show of the Eras Tour - which both of you attended in person! (I don’t know how you both aren’t excited over this theory just for that fact alone?!) Travis also said that the new album is a 180 degree turn from TTPD, and 180 days exactly from August 12, 2025 - the day she announced the new record - is Sunday, February 8, 2026, the day of Super Bowl 60. It’s certainly possible that it is just a series of incredible coincidences, and we could be completely wrong about this theory, but I really can’t imagine what else she would have been hinting at, and it definitely felt like she was egging about something….She also specifically referenced her NYU speech and how so much of it turned out to be egging for Midnights. She gave us a clear picture of the way she does and doesn’t leave Easter eggs, and this theory does fit the pattern of what she described, including her saying that she never is going to be pointing us in the direction of her personal life, it’s always about her music and her career, which further bolsters my opinion that I don’t think she would decide something like this based on Travis. If he is who we hope he is, I don’t think he would ever expect her to, and I also just don’t think she would. She is past the point of making herself smaller to appease a man’s ego. Her success takes nothing from him, and wouldn’t overshadow him regardless of whether he ends up retiring, or if he makes it to and/or wins another Super Bowl. He doesn’t seem to have issues with her fame and success. He appears to be proud of everything she does. I think he would be extremely excited for her to do the halftime show, regardless of what he ends up doing on that day. I am choosing to believe it for now. It’s the one thing that could make me even slightly interested in watching the Super Bowl, because to me football is the most boring sport that has ever existed. I would generally rather watch paint dry, but a chance to see what Taylor would do for a halftime show would make it so fun! So, for me it’s fingers crossed the fans actually got this one right!

hii!! loved the refathoming of the ttpd epilogue. I was just thinking the other day about how TTPD was kind of the first time Taylor could write about Matty freely, without having to cover it up with metaphors or other things to make it seem like it was about something else. He was in the back of her mind for like 10 years but she was off in relationships with other people and for 6 years of that, with Joe. I just think realizing that helped me understand why this album is such a word vomit of everything she had been feeling and the chaotic nature of it. It was the first time she could actually freely get it off her chest (get it off my desk!!!) lol

I’m aware of everything they do and these have reduced the videos they have the time to make. I’m just stating my preference. livestreams can be incredibly overstimulating (I’m neurodivergent and surely not the only one) but it feels super chaotic and hard to follow conversation with them reading questions in the rapid pace they come across the screen…During special announcements I can understand it such as the album announcement, because it was spontaneous… honestly I’m just very sad about this as this is my ultimate happy place in my life during a dark time and I just miss how it was. My feelings are valid even if you see it differently

For the Super Bowl bit: Travis and the chiefs don’t have to make the Super Bowl for her to perform. It would actually be better if he didn’t make the Super Bowl so he could watch the halftime show. If he did make the super bowl most likely wouldn’t be able to watch and if he did ppl would fuss. Also most halftime show performers don’t usually get announced until what late September mid October ish but planned out during the summertime. I have her at 50/50 to do it only cause it’s so much hype around it here in the states if anyone else did it it would be blahhhh lol

Also have yall fathomed that one interview where she comments “how far ahead is too far to hint at something” and she commented/added “is three years too far ahead” so honestly midnights example Bejeweled could’ve been foreshadowing the life of a show girl “idea”. But TTPD was so sudden and unexpected, because of all her poetry, hence why the tour was extended to she could add it to the set list. Cause TTPD was a last minute release (to Taylor anyway cause we know she plans so far ahead). Idk just some thoughts 🍌🥽

I agree with you guys on the Vegas residency, I don’t think she would do it and it’s just not her vibe. Also my hot-ish take is that Taylor’s strength on Era’s tour was staging, dancers, costuming, connection with the audience, etc. not necessarily the screen visuals. Like ofc there were some superior moments on eras tour but idk if the Sphere where it’s literally ALL screens and such a minimal stage is how she’s used to or would enjoy constructing a show. It could be reallyyyyyy offensive if she did a folklore/evermore specific show like creating an immersive cabin in the woods but I don’t see her going back to a past era like that anytime soon. Idk like if she did the Sphere it more than likely fuck us all up and I would eat my words, just my current temp on it 🤷‍♀️

This is just wild speculation and a fleeting thought but…when I saw the meme of the two “Antihero Taylors” I thought she might have planned an orange Tour-Album (Showgirl) to go along with the Eras tour. The white Taylor doesn’t mean anything I think. But maybe the concept of a white album formed in her head at some point even before the asylum part did. Maybe when she was seeing Matty she thought about releasing a white album before the orange one. And the white was already a thought because Matty has a black-and-white aesthetic and they were talking about getting married etc. Then in Fortnight she’s kind of wearing a white wedding dress but she’s in a mental institution. So the classic white, happy album became a white asylum album. P.S.: oh you just said something similar about the concept being there already.

I think Opalite has single potential in that opening run options. I think there's no way the title track doesn't make an appearance as a single & music video somewhere along the way but maybe not the lead.

I think Taylor has recurring metaphors for different concepts in her life. Like the House/Home to represent a stable relationship, the Game to represent dating, the Car as the beginning or end stages of a relationship, the Ship as a relationship as well, etc. I think similarly to Mirrorball, the Showgirl is a metaphor she might have had in mind for a while about the nature of her career. Hence why it started appearing in the Anti-Hero and Bejeweled MVs, then TTPD. It doesn't mean she's had the full concept in mind since 2022. But she truly felt like living the ultimate life of a showgirl during the Eras Tour, which probably inspired a fully fledged album

I think Shiny Bug might be a "Bug Under a Microscope" thing, like she is constantly scrutinized and examined... also if the holder tilts the magnifying glass a certain way to catch the sunlight they can hurt the bug. Just another angle on the impact of fame. 100% agree re the Super Bowl and Vegas (ewww Vegas, why?). And LOVE that you re-read the poem from TTPD, it makes so much sense now and man, she is the best poet EVER. She is going to go down in history not just for her music, and tours, and being a perfect person... she is going to be known as the poet of our lifetimes. Her poetry will be studied and admired long after she and we are gone. A true legacy.
