I think the wrap Taylor was wearing around her waist in TTPD rehearsals was a cushion between her back and the pole that she has to lean back against during Who's Afraid choreo. In the show she has a corset that acts as a protective layer. Just my guess but I think that makes more sense than a posture helper :)

if you look closely, during the bonus scene, scott and andrea and austin are there watching with taylor, and robert is there, too. they all wanted to see taylor give out the bonuses. i watched it twice, then watched a third time and just watched taylor as kam was reading. she was so happy and excited. imagine getting the opportunity to give these people you love the biggest check they've ever seen in their entire lives. how much fun would that be? if this was her highest grossing tour ever, that means the band members and backing vocalists that have been there for 18-20 years also got the largest check they've ever received from taylor, probably. what a fun day for her to just hand out life changing blessings to hundreds of people

I know that people mentioned Florence’s latest album was produced by Aaron Dessner but I want to add that her previous album Dance Fever (2022) was produced by Jack Antonoff, I’m guessing around the same time as Midnights. I can feel Florence inspiration sprinkled throughout TTPD (a most obvious example would be that Dance Fever has a song called “Cassandra” about the same historical figure Cassandra in TTPD and it's a banger). And I feel slightly vindicated because Taylor mentions that she wants the choreography of Willow to look like “Florence Machine” all the way back in the beginning of rehearsals in this episode! Anyway, I just think there are a lot of interesting artistic connections (and personal ones too – for example, Florence was with Matty and Taylor at the 1975 concert where Taylor played Anti-Hero live). I could go on forever about this so I’ll stop but pleeease do give some of Florence’s music a listen. I am sick of (male) reviewers saying she comes off bitter towards men in the music industry in her latest album--she literally had a pregnancy loss on stage and almost died, how else was she supposed to come off??

People's stories are so beautiful but also reflect on Taylor, from Amanda feeling like she got a second chance, to Mandy taking the challenge when she had mostly done movies and shows, or obviously Kam overcoming the hurdles the industry set. It's all so intertwined, this is her tour but it's also theirs, these are their stories but them being picked and highlighted shows what is important TO TAYLOR herself, these are all things she does, taking challenges, breaking patterns, saying no to the industry when it wants her gone. And the bonuses!!! Taylor herself said the intention is setting a presendent, telling her peers "this is the way it should work" and obviously not everyone can spend 197M, but it should go hand in hand with the level of success you get, yes they show how kind she is, but more so how fair, and how much she actually values everyone's role. As a former dancer myself taken out by back injuries/surgeries/knee injuries/surgeries it’s so hard to lose the part of yourself that dreamed of being on Broadway, performing for a huge dance company, or being on a tour like this. Amanda’s and Kam’s stories touched me so much too. Hearing you say you know how much this would’ve meant for you as a dancer broke me because I feel that too. Studio musicians usually do album work. They don't like to tour most times. They like to perfect and tweak the same bar a thousand times. Road musicians like the live shows and tour lifestyle. Sometimes an artist will have the same (as Taylor said about the re-recordings and she thinks they sound better because of this). So there is a possibility.

About kam changing the phrase, I am from argentina and he used spanish slang specifically from argentina 👏 I remember he first changed it for mexico and he did "like nunca" for all shows, and between that and the argentina shows his comment section was full of fans telling him he could change it in argentina for slang from there. awww always makes me sad when you guys hate on the red set 😭💔 I think she did a good job with it! she did the 3 biggest songs from the album and then did a fan fav with all too well 10! which is what she did for every set! she did the popular singles combined with fan favs!! that was interesting with 1989 only did singles from that, but no one cared about which I get to an extent because she did style and a little bit of wildest dreams which are both fan favs, but she could’ve done clean or new romantics, but it wouldn’t have mad sense!! at the end of the day, she has to cater to both the massive fans and the locals!! when it comes to both 1989 & red, the singles were so huge that she couldn’t do deep cuts like red, state of grace and/or new romantics like she could, with albums like lover, reputation, & folkmore

I keep coming back to how Lana once described Taylor: that she “wants it more than anyone.” On the surface, it sounds very obvious. But the more I think about it, the more it feels like the key to decoding everything. What sets Taylor apart isn’t just artistic merit, it’s the scale of what she wants to be responsible for. The world-building, the narrative continuity, the fan rituals, the sense that nothing is accidental. I believe that level of care goes far beyond what the industry typically demands / rewards. But she always goes those extra 10 steps. Effort itself seems central to how she understands the role of an artist. I sometimes wonder how Taylor looks at other artists who "wing it" more than not. I’m sure she respects their art, but I imagine there’s something very weird about watching others treat casually what she seems to experience as a responsibility.

I think we absolutely should imply that this generosity should be the norm! That's the whole reason Taylor included it in this documentary! She want to set an industry standard. The numbers will probably never be as high since no tour is going to reach those numbers for a long, long time but other artists could still donate a similar percentage of the revenue. Honestly when Taylor said it is femininity without shame it really clicked for me. In our misogynist society girls and women are often told that they are too much, too dramatic, too intense with their emotions. And I personally really struggle with the thought of feeling to much often times and Taylor created this wonderful beautiful space for us to come together without shame, without judging that someone is too emotional or dramatic about songs. When I did theatre in high school, I was Rizzo in Grease it’s just like you said when the lights are on and the audience is finally there it’s like a switch you just move and dance and sing and do all of the things you’ve been working so hard on for months. Where in rehearsals it is a much different setting but those few nights of performing to a crowd is so fulfilling and rewarding. I remember just letting go and having a blast so seeing all of these behind the scenes moments makes me reminisce🥲

As the resident Florence fan, what is so sweet about this performance is that a year before, in August 2023 Florence had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy at her own tour and had emergency surgery to save her life. So her friend bringing her out a year later when she was probably having a week with a lot of bad memories and mixed feelings, and showing that Taylor believed she could do anything, is just so kind.

As I'm watching this though, when you said that there were people upset they didn't get to see Tolerate It, Long Live, etc due to the new show w/ TTPD, it got me thinking that may be the reason as to why we won't see the set list creation process. I think it opens the door up for people to be upset about allllmost getting to see their favorite song, but then it was cut to add whatever other song they aren't as much a fan of... if that makes sense.. lol..
