Taylor right now seems to be moving for awards campaign. Even with release of encore it was aimed at VMAs with premiere of PZ video and to get showgirl back in conversation for Grammys noms. And I knew it, I knew you for Oscars. Doesn’t feel like she’s doing much fan service at the moment. She’s focused on legacy and her personal life at the moment more so than fan entertainment. No complaints from me at all. Just how she’s moving currently.

What is the lengthy rant about Taylor not marketing/performing album songs on talk shows during Showgirl era? Comparing it to when she went on many shows to perform Me!. I was not in the fandom during Lover rollout, but when you discuss those performances, it is usually with derision, and hazing. (snark re the wango outfit/the meeeee drawl and just kind of laughing at her is what I have heard via Chats). As much as the trolls have worked hard to advance “all the hate” why would she subject herself to that again? She hasn't done that Me! type of rollout since i started listening.... (Midnights, TTPD, Showgirls). However, she went on more talk shows to discuss the Showgirls album than TTPD for example.

Totally agree that the intention behind some of these recent performances has been different! I personally feel like her directorial debut may be closer than we think because of all of it... it feels like for a long time she's been building up and putting out her directorial "resume", so to speak. A few years ago she released all those behind the scenes videos from her music video shoots where LITERALLY every one had someone talking about what a fabulous director she is, obviously now she's written a song for a huge Disney movie, and the Patient Zero music video was filmed as though it was poised for the Oscars. (and of course we had ATW10 short film and her directors on directors interview before all that). It feels like these performances that are more "for the industry" are definitely part of positioning her for potentially her next big career move into film!!!

There was professional filming it just hasn't been released and this is an Oscar's campaign for IKIKY so she's doing these things for the campaign. We will probably get Showgirl performances when she's on Grammys campaign mode but for now this is her focus. She doesn't care about the internet or perceived oversaturation by snarkers she's just focusing on the award she doesn't have yet and it's soooo within her reach. See I think with her personal life and posting things like the wedding pictures, I think her logic is that she only will announce things, she doesn't share things if that makes any sense. So like the engagement photos, there is really no other way to announce it than pictures but with the wedding, the 'JUST&T married' was her way of ANNOUNCING it so there was no reason to SHARE it. Whereas like if she where to have kids one day maybe she would announce that the same as her engagement if she chooses to ever share anything about her kids who knows.

I think we mostly saw Brittany Mahomes and Taylor together at away games when she was going that first season because they would get a suite together at the away stadiums. But now that she’s pretty much only going to home games, the Mahomes have their own suite so they wouldn’t be together during the games.

This will def come off as a brag, but I only mean it to level the playing field (hopefully). I am 45 and I just started getting gray hairs this year. And one of my old coworkers started going fully gray at 25. Women all age at such different times, it’s really unfair. But I do love that gray hair (and aging for women in general) is becoming more normalized 🙌

To be honest, I am happy that she performed fate of ophelia but the performance was not that great!! Maybe maybeeeee we will get a better quality if she ever posts it full on her YouTube.. But with whatever i have seen so far i didn’t like the audio quality of it.. something was not right! There was a huge imbalance in her vocals and the background vocals.. maybe this venue was not fit for such an offensive song!

This was sooo excellent, I loved everything about this night! Connor Storrie!!! I love it when my fandoms collide. Caitlin Clark--famous athlete, she played for University of Iowa (which my hubby and I are huge Iowa fans) and broke every record you could break and became famous all over the country for her 3 point jump shot from the logo (meaning its quite aways back from the basket, almost half court) She could nail that shot all night long, she was almost impossible to defend. She went pro a few years ago, and since then, WNBA games are selling out, and honestly, the WNBA right now seems to have more fans than the NBA. She is credited with making women sports much more popular and cared about. Its a little bit of sticking it to the patriarchy, so I totally get why Taylor is friendly with her now. Caitlin was actually on New Heights a few years, ago since then, she's gone to a few games with Taylor.
