We are BACK with a re-fathoming!!! Which technically does not start until 18:33 in this video because we simply had to spend some time discussing Jack Antonoff being CHAOTIC and telling us that You're Losing Me was written in December 2021... WDYM?????

Comments

Cara M

Here SO FAST

Rachel Gresser

Yayyy hello good to see you today😍

Nikki Trebels

AAAAAAAAA I WAS WAITING FOR A LIL DISCUSSION

Yaya

Have you guys seen what tree put out ??

Ava Jeffs

you guys are always making my day with a new video! BUT BESTIES WE MUST TALK YOU'RE LOSING ME (simply have to comment before I watch your fathomings)!!! for me this further shows why midnights is a processing album. "I wouldn't marry me either" is so deprecating, much like anti-hero, or midnight rain where she says "I wanted that pain." it's going back through all that past trauma (red relationship with maroon, speak now relationship with wouldve couldve shouldve, 1989 relationship with question) to decide if she is the reason the relationship died, or if it was because she "IS THE BEST THING AT THIS PARTY" and he couldn't let her be bejeweled!!! im unwell and jack chose chaos. the archer --> afterglow --> YLM --> The Great War is the ultimate war imagery death combination

Cara M

I’ve been thinking about YLM and TGW timeline allllll day. The flip that might have flipped

Cara M

Also Tolerate it has always been about Joe for me. I made you my temple, my mural, my sky refers to someone who’s a muse. The barbed wire references too.

Emelie

Hi guys! I’m glad we’re talking about all this 😄 I saw somewhere that the upside down phones and the track numbers are the months that TVs will be released! But I’m not sure if the Spotify video actually is an official Easter egg bc it’s not made by Taylor’s team

Emelie

I just realised that this stadium is the one she’s done her first ever stadium concert at (from journey to fearless)!

karisa

THE CHAOOSSS HAVE YOU SEEN THE TWEET TAYLOR LIKED

alex

Our brains are not braining anymore 🫣

Inigo joaquin

YASSS NOT THE 1 HOUR VIDEO IM BEING FED I LOVE LISTENING TO U GUYS LIKE A PODCAST (wink wink u guys should make a swiftie podcast???🤭)

Sophie G

Yes! A woman on tik tok explains the phones, you girls need to search it

Annie

Buckle up besties I fear we have a bit of a bumpy road ahead.

Ally

Yay!! I was hoping you would come back to these shows, I went to Foxborough N1, and wow these recent events have really made me look a my surprise song combos differently!!

karisa

i can’t stop thinking about all the connections now like hoax and false god being very similar??? it feels like she knew for awhile that his love for her was probably “faithless” in that he wasn’t always proud to stand by her or be seen with her, or it may even be referring to another woman or the idea of there being another woman, “maybe it was her” in the great war 😳

karisa

im spiraling

Teri M

My god these past few days….. WHEW

karisa

like emily pointed out, fact that it was written so soon after red tv came out?? is crazy??? maybe the “you say you don’t understand” from ylm refers to him not understanding why she wanted to be back in the spotlight again with all the red promo she did, or maybe she wanted him to be there with her for the promo and he said “ i don’t understand why you need me to be there” idk i might be reaching i know he was also away filming at the time but it’s just the feeling it gave me 😭

alex

no better man is so illegal I can’t even explain how much I love it

nicole

This news dropped after the whole Jack telling us the date for YLM - But I’d love to hear your thoughts about her liking an old tweet from 2022 about Sweet Nothing with lyrics directly from a Paul McCartney quote about Linda. It’s very puzzling why they’re going back and seeming like they’re setting the narrative straight!

Jenny M

Did you see the podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, where Travis let his nickname for Taylor slip, his nickname for her is Tay.

Eliza

Better Man was the biggest fucking loss for me I NEED IT AT MY SYD N1 SHOW SO BAD

Eliza

and like tolerate it is too much for me like idk how it’s not about joeeee

karisa

Labyrinth also making sooo much more sense i never understood that song until now 😭

karisa

I need to know what dates she wrote every midnights song now

Nath

Just to give u the information her guitar has a little electric system that u can plug a wireless or a wire thing into it so the sound just goes straight in the sound system it's the same thing as a guitar plugged with a wire but in a wireless way. So yeah it's like her wireless mic and her in-ears everything is wireless and go in the sound system.

alex

same 🥺 i need it at my show as well but who ever gets it, can be called luckiest person alive honestly like how do you survive this masterpiece of a song

charlychops

I am dying at Ari being *SO* concerned at the squealing at the beginning, you think she'd be used to it by now :D

Liam Sullivan

why is no one talking about the dice in the spotify wrapped video being a 5 and a 6 for the majority! 5+6= TS11

Shyla Hoffpauir

There are 11 mirrorballs. The orange (karma) in the eye scene there’s lover (7) and red (4) so 7+4=11 The UPSIDE DOWN PHONES are for track 8 and 3 8+3=11 and it’s not an accident that track 11 of the same album is KARMA 😳 and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the clock is right next to the phone and when it hits midnight an earthquake happens. I really feel like we’re about to enter a new era! The flowers all the way to the left are called karma dahlias The house on fire in her hand.. And never forget Karma remix lyrics on ice apices verse.. karma is the fire in your house, about to pop up unannounced.. The orange in her eye tells me she has her eyes set on karma 🤭

Tess7

So much chaos happening since the tour went on break! I’ll just stick to the video though, I was so crushed when I realized we almost got Red on the piano! I hope she does it at some point. Better Man is just one her best songs, I love it so much. I agree about Red being Taylor’s favorite lol it is definitely my sentimental favorite. I always go back to it. In fact, I just rewatched your Red breakdown video earlier today, because it just makes me happy ❤️

Briony

ITS TOO MUCH, I NEED A BREAK

Briony

I CANNOT KEEP UP WITH ALL THE INFO WE’RE GETTING LATELY!!! TS11 IS GONNA BE SO ICONIC

Kate Hutton

the earthquake.... DRESS! Flashback when you met me Your buzzcut and my hair bleached Even in my worst times You could see the best in me Flashback to my mistakes My rebounds, my earthquakes Even in my worst lies You saw the truth in me

karisa

maybe she wrote some of question with matty??

Kate Hutton

should've said no is one of her most underrated songs!

Elonia

Now with the tour break, these re-fathomings is giving me life 🫶

MarkH

Thank you for that intro--YLM on streaming and Spotify Wrapped on the same day hit me in the feels in a way I was not expecting, let alone Jack popping off like that, so I really needed that intro. There is so much going on, not all about Taylor. Olivia's Hunger Games song is so great, and then there is her cover of Stick Season in the Live Lounge and Noah responding by covering Lacy. of Lacy. Maybe you could do an Olivia catch-up video, where you react to her SNL performance on December 9 and catch up with those other things, even if you have already seen them. Also, Lana released a cover of Take Me Home, Country Roads (and I am so old that this song was actually a significant part of my childhood), Maisie released deluxe songs from the Good Witch that are just as good or better than the main songs, and Gracie and Noah Kahan just released a collab song. I'd be glad to hear your thoughts about any of those things.

Mis

When the clock struck midnight - was that a glitch and not an earthquake??

MarkH

Have you fathomed that I Think He Knows and Paper Rings are actually I lot like How You Get the Girl? They are all telling a man exactly what he needs to do. I Think He Knows especially, because of course by releasing the song, she is in fact telling him (as she sings "I don't have to tell him"), so if he didn't know before, he sure should know after you sing it in his face. And then "He'd better lock it down or I won't stick around", and "I'd marry him with paper rings". We should have known, and really she should have known, that after you sing those songs and he doesn't ask you to marry him, he is never going to.

Rebecca

TS11 is coming besties!!! I wonder what the theme will be? I'm hoping there is a song about a relationship being born out of darkness like the victim saviour situation with her and Joe and how it can't work if it starts like that

Amelia Evans

I can't help but think question is about Matty. The half moon eyes and 'you were on something' would track with him being a literal herion addict at the time. And that she's with Calvin Harris soon after they met. And also the video of Karlie kissing her while he is singing falllingforyou at a 1975 gig. Plus that she worked with him maybe soon after this.... And didn't the 1975 play this before thier concert when they were dating? It could def be either about Harry or him but to me it doesn't give Harry. It's darker and kinda sounds like it could be a 1975 song...

meg

hi bonny and emily!! here to comment about the earthquake and mountain bit on the Spotify thingy ahaha. so the earthquakes bit, idk if you both remember but there had been tons of articles about this where one show of the eras in Seattle, there was a seismic data that explained how the crowd made the ground shake so intense that it registered signals equivalent to a magnitude 2.3 earthquake!!! ALL OF THAT BECAUSE OF THE CROWD DANCING SO CRAZY and then my take on the mountains, is her line from long live from speak now, "long live all the mountains we moved" but that's about it.

Charlotte Nixon

no because i just FATHOMED and had a breakdown!! NOVEMBER 2021 was RED TV RELEASE!!! and she went really hard for all of the premiers and talk shows and promotion for that album (rightfully so) and was being her most bejewelled self she had been in a long time. What if this was the beginning of them deteriorating a bit more seriously because he couldn’t understand why she was leaning into her game again, and she started to be like - oh… you’re losing me

Persef

Wait I actually NEED a daily dose of em and bonny talking about ts

Sophie

It's MY SHOW! So excited for this refathoming ;)

Zosia Dabrowski

Omg thank you for reminding me because that felt like 5 years ago lmao

ava

MY SHOWSSS !!!! n2 and n3!!!! lmao seeing the question speech and the haunted piano live was so funny

Patrícia Silva Ramos

I don't know if anyone has said this before on here, but I think she says that she has happy memories from recording question because they had friends and family (like Dylan and Austin) do the cheering on the recording

Ana

I don't have many thoughts about the Spotify video, but I was trying to think about the earthquake and what it could mean and... "Karma is the thunder rattling your ground" maybe??

CAM

Upside down phone: from Nikki on tiktok, there are four mayhem episodes where it's upsidedown or on the wrong ear: 7, 10, 2, 6... (July, October, February, June). This also fits the 112 theory. But also, 8&3 and 6&2... 8+3= TS 11 coming. And 6&2 = TS 12

Chris Kelly

Please hear me out. Can we fathom that the “5 till” in the karma video is not 5 Till! It’s 11! As in TS11 in between 1989tv and Reptv

Emilie Ramos

What is she is hinting on releasing something on New years Eve? Because she is constantly showing the clock striking 12. Reputation?...TS13?

F1Swiftie

I said in the Discord at one point that Joe helped write his own breakup song with "exile". Maybe he didn't know it at the time, but ... (shrug) PS I like Joe. I think he helped her heal when the world wounded her. A lot can happen in six years. They had great times, but it doesn't always work out, and that's ok. It doesn't make him or her a bad person. They just weren't each other's lobsters like we all may have thought. And what she said in "peace" about what she can control wasn't ultimately enough for him or right for him, and that's ok, too.

BratNDaHwz

Foxborough is where her infamous first "Rain Show" took place.

Lively_Ash

DID YOU SEE TREE CALLING OUT DEUXMOI?!?!?!

Giovana Saraiva

I just can't help but think about Rep prologue: “When this album comes out, gossip blogs will scour the lyrics for the men they can attribute to each song, as if the inspiration for music is as simple and basic as a paternity test,” I really don't get why people are going crazy over this information about You're Losing Me. Some people are like shocked that a 6 year relationship had ups and downs, even tho Taylor already talked about it on songs (presumed to be) about Joe and the People Magazine article about the breakup (planted by Tree) stated that: "They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together". There's something anyone whos been in a long term relationship can relate to. And now people are clowning that songs like 'tolerate it' or 'hoax' are about him, which is something Taylor herself and/or Aaron/Jack denied by sharing the true inspiration behind it. I feel like people are always cherry picking the details shared by Taylor to fit the narrative of what they think happened in her life: "oh she said this but it was only a cover up" or "she said this to throw us off". Either you believe her or you don't. And if she did lie or said things to throw us of is probably because she didn't want anyone especulating about it and we should respect that. Mind you she wrote YLM in 2021 and then proceded to write songs like lavander haze, mastermind, labyrinth and sweet nothing (with Joe Alwyn!). There's no way of knowing what was going on with them and truth be told it's no ones business but theirs. Idk, with the gaylors and the relationship patrol this fandom is getting really annoying :(

Amanda Mittelman

I WAS AT THE ITHK/RED SHOW AND IT WAS SUPERIOR

Rachel L

SAME. I was so concerned when the piano wasn’t working, I thought some crazy pre-planned thing was going to happen lmao

Hannah

Wait a minute… What if question? Is about Matty?? she was thinking out loud what would be a good song to sing right now and right now she’s hanging out with him again… Can the lyrics not also apply to whatever Situationship they had Wayback when?!

Fanny Bureau

Em… I was at the night 1 show and I D-I-D collapse

Keri 🫶🏻

I agree people can get too caught up in over analyzing, but she did say she wrote tolerate it because she read Rebecca and related to it, she said she’s “felt that way at one point. ” We aren’t entitled to know what relationship made her feel that way, but there are almost always some of her own emotions in her songs, even the storytelling ones on folklore and evermore.

talia

For the Joe-Jack-Taylor of it all, it is very telling whenever Taylor brings up Joe, Jack always makes a face and it’s hilarious. Also, even if you go back to Reputation and listen to DWOHT and So It Goes the cracks were there from the start. Then, for the TS11 of it all, I think we’ll have it by the end of Q1 of 2024

libby

i am now CONVINCED that labyrinth is about joe. i thought it was about 2 different relationships, but it could be about falling out of love with him and then falling back. it’s A LOT

F1Swiftie

fwiw I don't think either 'tolerate it' or 'hoax' are about Joe. I think 'hoax' has elements of Scott B/masters situation, and not a romantic partner, especially the bridge. I would put 'tolerate it' more to someone like CH or JG.

Gina DeMartino

I was at N3 and the double guitar songs will forever be so iconic, i am a little salty to have missed better man by 2 days though as its my all time stan song

Katie LaFave

thank you for the RED love cuz it's my fav album!!!

Rachel L

Okay I was at night 3 and idk if this is something you guys end up fathoming, but it blows my mind that she planned on singing Red on piano??!

Rachel L

Okay good I’m glad this is something we discussed 😂 I’m a big sad song lover so I’m a lil devastated I missed out on RED PIANO VERSION

Giovana Saraiva

I agree that most of the songs portray her *emotions* and for me that's exactly what matters! It's getting in touch or unraveling the emotions that the music conveys, not the person who may or may not have made her feel that way. She always talks about how the songs were once about her life, but from the moment she releases them she hopes they become about us, our lives, our moments with her on tour, etc. Loving someone who doesn't appreciate or love you enough is theme of many other songs like 'say don't go' (supposedly about Harry) and 'high infidelity' (supposedly about Calvin). In 'now that we don't talk' she literally says "the more I gave, you would want me less". All of these songs relate to the emotion behind 'tolerate it' so it could be inspired by anyone, but now all fans want to talk about is they're 100% sure it's about Joe Alwyn. It simply shouldn't matter who it might be about, especially when Taylor herself distanciates the song from it's 'muse'. *The inspiration for the song isn't as simple and basic as a paternity test* and i just find it really annoying when people get so obsessed with her personal life instead of just apreciating the remarkable art that she creates. It should be all about the music, that's all I'm saying.

Cam Stokes

OMG i just fathomed when you were discussing the lover house burning down imagery.. she just happens to be holding a lighter on the midnights album cover 🤯

Kristy

I agree. Taylor has said on multiple occasions that she doesn’t like people trying to guess who songs are about. And ultimately, yes, we know she is often an autobiographical songwriter, but she is very capable of weaving in fiction to tell a good story or pull from other people’s experiences. Because she’s an amazing writer. She can also write a song in 2021 about a past relationship. Not every song has to be written in the height of the experience, I think many are also written with reflection and hindsight, some times years later.

Natalie T

Omg!! I LOVE Better Man too.... it is such an amazing song - those lyrics and that Melody !! It is a superior song

Sophie

Thank you so much for fathoming how superior my show (N1) was!! I am so glad you appreciated the GROWL in SSN - I couldn't believe it when I heard it. She ateeeee that performance. And then the piano debut of better man ???? Superiorrrrr

Erica Liu

Aaron has said in an interview that his 3 AM tracks were written BEFORE Jack (earlier in 2021), and Taylor decided to go in a different direction from what she and Aaron were doing after she started working with Jack during that Panama period. Aka TS11 was an Aaron-ish album before becoming Jack/Midnights. So my speculation is that The Great War was likely written before YLM and about a period of fighting they got through, but then things might have gotten bad again towards the end of the year with YLM.

Travis

Debut is one of my top albums! I cannot wait for everyone to have a break down when she releases Debut TV and they finally fathom how amazing it is.

Lindsay

I’m VERY excited for Debut re-record. I am 8 years older than Taylor so when she released it I was an adult and pregnant with my 2nd kid already. I don’t have to relate to a songs lyrics exactly to love it, but it’s her little younger voice that makes me not listen to that album as much. These re-records have made me so happy because I love her 30 years old voice so much! I actually listen to fearless a lot now that’s it’s re-recorded. To hear debut songs with her mature voice is going to send me into orbit. 🤩

Alexis

Adding to the idea of Taylor finally feeling free during her Question speech, I think that feeling is even more perfectly captured in the 1989 TV album cover. That smile and with the seagulls is the epitome of that feeling.

Ramon❀°。

no because why was she writing about that at 13

JMar

Can we just fathom how Taylor’s version of Better Man is produced by Father Aaron!! ABSOLUTELY SUPERIOR!

Cara M

The seismograph is probably a reference to Swifties causing an earthquake 🤭

Ava Jeffs

better man would be on my top 5 list of surprise songs…it made a permanent impact on me the first time I heard it and I will never recover

Ava Jeffs

the love for red had me kicking and screaming with joy, forever my favorite and stan album 😭♥️

Kat Alvarez

i was at night 3 and when she said “long story short” i had the EXACT same reaction at bonnie

Ally ❤️

That song and that TT is my Roman Empire as well Bonny. I felt that. 🥺

Eric Olivieri

Omg I was at N3 and just refathomed getting the first I Think He Knows performance watching this. Plus RED and a double guitar night?!! I was literally there and it still doesn’t feel real 🥹

Ally ❤️

This man wrote verse 2 of the Bleachers AH remix … Jack is COMPLETELY CHAOTIC!

Cowboy Like Evaaannn!!

I saw somebody make this connection on Tiktok so thought I would share. Question...? Now That We Don’t Talk, Is It Over Now?

Mads

There’s going to be a song on Bleachers 4 called ‘hey joe’ and the fact that I have to wait until MARCH to learn which specific Joe Jack is talking about is not fair

Kylee Newberry

Besties I just rewatched the Bejeweled music video and it makes so much more sense with the new info on the Joe timeline. Laura Dern saying that a proposal is the most important thing a woman can receive in her lifetime. And at the end the prince is forced to propose but taylor ghosts. It's hard to explain my fathoming but I swear a light bulb went off for me

Riya💕

can you guys please react to her paris live on the seine mini concert thing she did🥰

Aisha 🖤

Better Man stan till the day I die 😭😭❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

MJ

Massachusetts deserves everything!!!

Juliana Martinez

can you guys react to sabrina’s new christmas ep?

Yasemin Turner

I would love to know where Bonnie got her dress from - it is so cute the cut is a bit different !

T

Everytime I hear the last time I think of Emily saying "what do you MEAN I was going to skip this song" lol

Jess D

As far as stadiums go she has the longest history with this one. Her first stadium show was here. Her first rain show was here. And it's New England so Holiday House isn't that far. She flies in and out of Rhode Island when she plays Foxborough. She's always said it's a special place for her to play. 🫶🏻

Jess D

And her 13th show here was N3!

Julia Fisher

From the start of Eras Tour Red on the piano was my number one secret song dream. Then when her piano broke this night I joked with my friend that her piano broke because I wasn't there and she couldn't play Red on the piano without me. BUT! next year I'm seeing the Eras Tour on my birthday AND she reset the songs which means I could get it!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it that would be the BEST birthday gift ever!!!!

Maya L. Davis

I read somewhere that at the Eras Tour shows, the impact of people dancing and jumping and singing so much combined with the loudness of the music creates some kind of low reading on a seismograph that's enough to be considered an earthquake!

Leah Alsobrooks

i feel the fathoming happening in my brain!!!! what if question…? isn’t about harry or matty, but solely focused on the breakdown of the relationship with joe?? she’s reflecting on their miscommunications and wishes he would just say something in response to her many questions and concerns about their relationship even though it was such a shock to the system/meteor strike of love in the beginning. midnights is an ever evolving album!!!!

Bree

The Spofity picture/video was created by Spotify right? Not Taylor? So i don't think it has any hints or anything about what she's doing in the future, i think it is just full of past TS easter eggs/lore.

Bree

Totally agree!

Teri M

Wait....are we actually getting all the SS in reverse on how they were played originally or is this just theory?

Emily Denyer

*Spotify called it's jover that takes you thru their relationship and it has SENT me today

Samantha Sweeney

I was at night 3 and the fact I could have gotten red on the piano haunts me!! I thought the whole piano being broken thing was a bit at first and she was about to play haunted on the piano. Had no idea it was actually broken until she got up to play the guitar again 🤣

Susie

My first time ever seeing taylor after being a fan for years was Gillette Night 1 and I got better man as a surprise song ☺️ Also saw her night 3!

j🪩

I need a piano version of red BAD 🫠

ttpd-24

I just fathomed in Dear Reader - the second verse of Dear Reader might be Joe’s part… then back to Taylor Dear reader Bend when you can, snap when you have to Dear reader You don't have to answer, just 'cause they asked you (You should find another) Dear reader The greatest of luxuries is your secrets Dear reader When you aim at the devil make sure you don't miss Then (Joe) You should find another guiding light Taylor (But I shine so bright)

Nicole Gordon

All I heard when the clock struck midnight and the earthquake happened was “Pacing on shaky ground…Strike a match then you blow it out…”. Definitely about Harry in SDG, but has some resonance with Joe, too, I think.

Rebecca Bell

Foxborough night 1 was my night and getting the Should’ve Said No x Better Man combo is my Roman Empire

Courtney D

There is some FATHOMING in this video. Also, the fact that Better Man didn't make it onto Red tells you how good the writing was in that era...

Courtney D

Definitely seen a lot of requests for the Good Witch deluxe on discord!

Courtney D

"They just weren't each other's lobsters"

Bec P

Girls wow, you need to refathom the Jack verse from Anti Hero ft Bleachers. A girl on tiktok posted about saying this was jack telling us Joe (art bro) was not treating her right…and Keleigh Teller liked this tiktok….she knows the tea

Gustav Lucas

« long story short… and then she never played it » 😂😂😂

Alice Mense

Honestly I am so friggin excited for Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) it’s gonna be so fun and her voice obviously changed so much since then i just can’t wait! 😊

Starbuck1234!

Guys, the guy behind Sunset & Vine/ Stop has a CARNATION on his face! Carnations you had thought were roses!!! the earthquake/with the scientist remember in Seattle they literally CAUSED AN EARTHQUAKE at Eras!!! this actually was the first time i watched the video, i must go back and rewatch.

Mex

the way she sounds when she sings "she's never gonna love you like i want to" moves me deeply. i can't wait, knowing that i'm going to desperately fall in love with her debut album.

Jed

I loved this discussion at the beginning!! I just wanted to add that The Great War is another term for World War 1. IMO, the song is from the perspective of someone who doesn't know WW2 is right around the corner... AKA Taylor wrote it at a time where she didn't know if the relationship would survive the next war, but she knew one was coming.

Joe Weaver

It's very interesting how different that Question speech sounds months removed from everything that was happening at the time. It was incredibly difficult to see anything clearly when we were caught up in the craziness that was the Matty Healy era. It was only a few weeks but wow those weeks were quite something. Anyway, I have a hard time choosing between SSN/Better Man & ITHK/Red as my favorite combo. Red & Better Man are two of my all-time favorites so that's almost a tie so...hmm, I think I'd take the Red combo if you made me choose but both of these were superior nights!

Hannah Proctor

I took the earthquake when midnight struck to just be that Midnights release shook the world? Like it really set this new peak off for her as an artist in her career

Melinda Mascoll

Joes family was at her doctorate speech along with her family. he was away filming

Jaimie C

This has me cracking up so much: Bonny: wow Red (album) is so iconic - Em (suppressing laughter): just wanna remind you, you got a Red song...🤣 Em: how does the mic pick up the guitar? - Bonny (suppressing laughter): We talked about this before...🤣 You two are adorable! 💖 Also loved your fathoming of her Question speech. 💕

sierra

look….. debut has to be in the top 3 for me 😂😂 it just IS !!!! SO GOOD!!!!!!!

Juliana Martinez

i wanna say this is just a theory. I haven't heard anything confirmed about this but it would be a cool way to keep the songs refreshing and new!

Juliana Martinez

is this a thematic connection? are you referring to how these songs are connected as discussed on the 1989 vault breakdown? or something else?

chatsandreacts

I’m literally crying dying and throwing up over this HELP

GIE

This is unrelated but i like your nails!!!!

Jenna Bolmgren

I was surprised to see that Better Man was my most played song on my Spotify Wrapped since I have her discography on shuffle all day, but I also think it’s worthy.

Meghan Carty

There's a quote from an article in the wikipedia page for YLM about how it "recontextualizes the album as a body of work 'about agonizing and dissociating, not just reminiscing'" and I feel like that just perfectly sums up how you two have been refathoming Midnights *chefs kiss*

Sara Rose

This might be the dumbest thing... but maybe the raisins have a meaning?? Like the relationship was a grape, then it dried out and became a raisin. But even though she knew the relationship was drying out, she kept eating the raisins anyway.

Laura Donovan

I was at foxboro n3 and honestly loved the I think he knows/red combo. Red/maroon was my dream pairing so even getting 50 percent was iconic

Jessie

Right after you said "she's wearing reputation sleeves" she threw up the dice and they added up to 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Faustine L

I spent 7.5 hours ranking "every" TS songs with my best friend yesterday: the amount of fathoming of Debut that happened shook us! Debut truly has GOOD songs

Kimberly

Better man is SUPERIOR. TOP 10 TS song

Tess7

I needed to watch this again because you guys are so superior…just want to say Shoulda Said No is the song that made me officially a Swiftie- I had heard Our Song and loved it, but then I saw her sing this on the country awards, and that was it lol I bought the cd the next day. I’m such a rock girlie, but my parents liked country so…I still listen to some country today but not a lot. I do enjoy Ashley McBryde, she is just a bad ass. I did love the country awards performance of Red Taylor did later on with Vince and Alison, soooo iconic.

Bailey

Question...? is about Matty in my mind, so many lyrics that point to him and for her to sing it because it "brings back happy memories" while she is dating him, plus it was on the pre-show playlist for the 1975 tour before they were publicly dating, I also think this is the song that Matty/The 1975 possibly worked with her on but their version didn't come out as he said in an interview. I think she really was happy with him and the fans ruined it because they can't think critically and only read headlines and twitter threads that parrot half truths instead of understanding the full story and context behind clickbait.

domdodom

matty is a racist who likes to watch gg, stop making excuse for him

Erin

are you guys planning on reacting to the fruitcake ep by sabrina carpenter i was just wondering <3

Rebecca Dennison

Maybe someone already suggested this, but I think the seismograph and earthquake in the Spotify wrapped video are a reference to the eras show in Seattle when they measured the seismographic impact of the fans enthusiasm at the show

T

I feel like taylor won't do holiday collection so as not to compete w sabrina

T

To b clear I don't think taylor is afraid or anything just it would be surprising if they both put one out

Mads

Ahhhh thank you for telling me!! I love that

Aubrey McMichael

i have been sooo i’ll over i think he knows live and no one ever talks about it

Aubrey McMichael

i think it’s because her vocals are so strong now whereas had she performed it on past tours hypothetically she maybe wouldn’t have been able to sing it the way she did

Brooke Penniman

I was at night 3!! it was a great weekend for sure

Erin

they are good friends i dont think they would care and if taylor did re record the holiday collection i know sabrina would be so excited too <3

Aaron B

About how they mic Taylor's guitar: It's most likely that she's using guitars that have a pickup(s) with a preamp, and there's an input jack in the guitar body that get's plugged in to with a wireless transmitter like her singing mic so she's free to walk around.

Rose Ellen

It's a lot that she said 'I've never been happier' and then dropped You're Losing Me the next weekend. It's a lot!!

At my Rep show back in 2018 (Nashville night 2) we got Better Man as the B-stage surprise song! Then later when she was back at the main stage she did another surprise song! “Tim McGraw” and she brought out Faith Hill, sang a couple lines, then brought out Tim McGraw!!

Altamash Gaziyani

Better Man was the song I leaned on to work through the roughest breakup of my life. It was such a balm for me to help heal, and getting it as my surprise song was the loveliest gift and an incredible reminder of how far I've come emotionally since then. I was so grateful for it ~

T

💀💀💀💀💀wow

Nicole

no N3 is underrated when i saw these were the surprise songs when i woke up i was devastated !!!! what a combo some of my top songs from lover and red !

Laura Bolanos

I’m sorry - just FATHOMED! When the clock struck 12 and the ground shook… it was karma rattling the ground 😱🥹🧡

leo

bonny forgot that they got a lover + red combo 😭

Esther Newman

superior fathoming as always, thank you <3 I would love a dedicated video for these 'important to the Taylor Swift narrative' songs - off the top of my head I would say that 'A Place In This World', 'The Lucky One', 'Welcome To New York' and 'Miss Americana' could factor into that since they touch on her attitudes to fame, her position in the world etc x

amah

Maybe the ground is shaking in the video because swifties literally caused an earthquake in Seattle this year??

msjackyx

From now on I'm calling them Secret Surprise Songs <3

seefany

Been there during Seattle N1, didn't feel the earthquake wave but the crowd definitely was WILD!

Daisy Ramirez

The world is simply not ready for Debut TV. It is going to fuck us all up!! I'm so excited for it. ✨😭

Daisy Ramirez

I listened to Better Man on repeat when I was going through a bad breakup with an abusive ex a few years ago and till this day I cry every time I listen to it (which isn't often for obvious reasons). But this song really helped me heal and I absolutely love it🤍

Charlie Athanas

Foxborough N3 was my night! (and the best night of my life!)

AF

Yes! Foxborough was Taylor’s first stadium ever and she’s had many more milestones there!

Ysabelle Balomadres

i kinda interpret the earthquake before the clock striking midnight maybe the breaking down of her relationship w joe and how it culminated before the release of midnights

Kat Cooley

here's a chaotic thought...do we think if she had put Better Man on the OG Red and released it as a single (I think it may have replaced Begin Again) it would have won her SOTY at the Grammys? Royals by Lorde won that year

Sami Wiens

the way she didn’t do the last part of red will forever crush my soul

Takara

TWILY SUPREMACY !!!!!

Brianna Williams

I was at that crazy rain show in Foxborough. Absolutely drenched for hours and hours. Had to throw out my shoes afterward. But she was incredible and such a trooper for performing in that downpour.

Riley H

Watching this now knowing that you did in fact get Red is everything ❤️ (ALSO!!!!!!!! Just fathomed that Red was the last song she sang before releasing You're Losing Me and then Melb N1 SHE SANG RED + YOU'RE LOSING ME?!?!)

Caitlin Vee

Back here post TTPD, this speech finally makes sense. “The happiest I’ve ever been” “my life finally feels like it makes sense” The height of MH relationship? Perhaps Question is about him?

Bailey

The truth always comes out... Matty has been her muse for a long time and Taylor tells us in TTPD that his only crime was leaving her when things got too difficult with the fans. I hope you've taken in the lyrics to But Daddy I Love Him because those are directed at unhinged fans who told her to stop dating him and called her a bad person for doing so. A little internet research would enlighten a lot of people to the truth about Matty who has apologized for things that he didn't even do to make amends and try to clear his name from all of the out of context criticisms he's taken.

Bailey

I was at this show and it was so obvious to me at the time. I don't know why a subset of the fandom couldn't just let her be happy and instead had to tear apart Matty and their relationship. I'm so glad the truth is out now and I hope it teaches people a lesson. The fandom jumped on him after reading headlines and out of context twitter threads rather than doing their own research to realize he was being criticized for a lot of things he didn't even do or were taken completely out of context.

Caitlin Vee

Celebrity can be so cruel, how little we know of their lives from afar. I hope there’s a world in which she can find peace …

Mi

The fact that you stopped the video when the rolling dice summed up to 11 kills me today :D little did we know back then.

Jessica Tucker

Watching this after ttpd is a whole new level of fathoming lol

amanda

i went to gillette n2 and being there for that speech is soooo special :’)

sy

Bonny: "dedicate my life to learn the knowledge abt taylor's discography" < 🤣🤣

Breezy Bumbles

I think when Taylor was talking about how Question brought back happy memories, she was remembering how all her friends were in the studio with her doing background gang cheer vocals.

Breezy Bumbles

Is that a normal thing the pianos would do if they got wet? It feels suspicious. I don’t think that keys can play themselves. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Renee S Smith

I had almost forgot how much that man messed her up. Almost forgot.

Brittany Diamond

Rewatching the surprise song stuff after TTPD is mind blowing. All the comments about how happy and bubbly she is and we had no idea it was a full manic phase. Emily clocking the 'fuck everything, fuck everyone' vibe before we had the lyric 'fuck it if I can't have him' and the entirety of BDILH. So wild.

Janie

If this was about her being in love and just going with what felt true for her at that time, my heart hurts for her. I started listening to her June/July 2023 so I missed the drama but learning what happened, I just don't understand why strangers could feel like they had a say in a grown woman's life? No wonder she sings about being taken out of her box and stealing her tortured heart - Thank goodness that healing is real and I'm glad she seems happy now.

Standing in the Sun

could it also be referencing when the fans jumped so much it was the equivalent of an earthquake?? I think that was seattle, or san francisco…somewhere west coast

Standing in the Sun

commenting that I still don’t understand the man in yellow covered in clocks at minute 14 — someone advise

Jess

Post TTPD watcher here- her saying in the question speech the rain is like performing in a shower immediately made me think of the black dog lyric “do you miss me in the shower when my rain soaked body was shaking” Is this moment what she is referencing 🤯
