Good afternoon,
Another week of long evenings is behind me, but unfortunately I’m still not quite at the finish line, so today I can only give you an update on where things currently stand.
The animations and transition images for the Hiba & Tia scene are now finished. I’ve also been working on the scene itself, including its sequences and dialogues, and most of it is now complete. Most of it, because there are still a few variations missing depending on Tia’s corruption level. The remaining work on the scene shouldn’t take too much longer, though.
I also worked on a pregnant version of Tia’s 69 animation with the MC with 2 angles. Otherwise, the scene where she wakes him up during the night wouldn’t have been fully covered. The dialogue for this scene has also been slightly adjusted in case Tia is pregnant.
And then we come to what has taken up a large part of my week and unfortunately still isn’t completely finished: Tia’s alternative dialogue when she has spent an extended period of time with the Orcs.
Last week, I asked you for ideas on how her relationship with the MC could be repaired in such a situation, and I received quite a few suggestions from you. Once again, thank you for that! In the end, despite knowing that it would mean quite a bit of additional work, I decided to go with the date idea.
The reason for that is that the scene doesn’t have to serve solely as a way to “repair” a damaged relationship. With alternative dialogue, it can also simply work as something the MC can do with Tia, a romantic date that can then be played out on all routes.
I had a few different ideas for where this date could take place, but ultimately decided on Tia’s hidden retreat, which she had already told the MC about in the past. Some of you had also asked me before whether I planned to actually include this location at some point.
So yes, I ended up creating a small additional map for it and have already started working on the images as well... but there is still dialogue missing there too, despite the fact that I’ve already spent quite a few evenings working late into the night over the past week.
What I haven’t managed to get to at all yet is the showdown with Dasan and the consequences that follow from it. It’s a little frustrating to still have so many things left on the to-do list, while at the same time I don’t really want to cut too much content.
As so often, it’s a balancing act that I’ll have to manage over the next few days. At least I was able to complete a few more of the missing to-do's this week, so it's starting to clear up and that means it won't be too much longer until the final pieces fall into place.
So once again, I ask you for a little more patience, and I wish you all a nice weekend!
