Last Steps To 0.6.3.0 (Patreon)

Good afternoon,

A long and exhausting week is behind me, and yet I still haven’t reached the point I had hoped to be at by now.

The main focus was on Tia’s date, for which I had already worked on the animations and individual images during the previous week. However, while writing the dialogue, I realized that I was still missing a few transition animations, so I had to create those afterward. Writing the two dialogue variations also turned out to be a little more difficult than I had initially expected, because it was important to me that they feel believable. I ended up rewriting them several times before I was finally satisfied with them. So in the end, the work on this took longer than I had planned.

On top of that, writing these dialogues also led me to make some adjustments to the dialogue within the sex scene in the MC’s hut, adding slightly different thoughts and lines for a corrupted Tia. In general, I’ve limited the interactions between Tia and the MC in cases where she has spent an extended period of time with Bolgan on Rumah, because otherwise the whole thing would have gotten a little too extensive. So it will work like that: if Tia spent too much time with Bolgan she will stay in Rumah until she deems the MC worthy again. This can either be achieved by taking her on a date (quick route to restore things) or by having sex with her over many evenings (grindy route) but for some this might be the preferred way so I wanted to have it in the game.

Ultimately, these two aspects kept me busy for the entire week, and as for what I had actually planned to work on next, namely the showdown with Dasan, I’ve only been able to think through the details so far.As I already mentioned in a reply to a comment this week, I’m planning three possible outcomes for this conflict.The first option is to leave Dasan as the chieftain. This would lead to the other women becoming annoyed with the MC for doing nothing, but ultimately everything would remain as it is.The second option is for the MC to defeat him, which would put him on the route where he becomes the new chieftain.And the third option is for the MC to lose the fight against Dasan, resulting in him becoming a low-ranking tribe member in Rumah who no longer has the right to claim or sleep with the women of the tribe.

I hope this gives everyone on this route something they can enjoy. However, working out all the dialogue will probably take some more time, and I’m also considering adding some further consequences for Nyra, who supported the MC in this whole plot... Some of that might even be reused later when I come back to Nyra when I work out her final part with the MC on the chieftain route (if the MC killed Dasan)... but as said before, for that I want to take a little more time and some more scenes, so it is something for a future update.

Whether I’ll be able to get away without creating any additional animations, as I originally planned, is something I don’t know yet. I’ll only really know once I start writing the dialogue. If I get the feeling that an additional animation would fit the situation well, I simply can’t bring myself to leave it out...

Nevertheless, I’ll try not to let this expand even further than it already has.

The update is supposed to be finished next week, even if I have to push myself as hard as possible and crunch as much as I can. This whole thing has been weighing on me quite heavily by now, and my thoughts are basically circling around working on this update nonstop... It really needs to finally come to an end. Writing the report wasn't easy for me, as I know that many of you expecting me to be done with the update already and some of the aspects I now work on are quite route specific. But I want to bring it to a proper conclusion and then be done with it.That said, I will also work tomorrow, this saturday, to be able to fulfill my promise next week.So, again I thank you for your patience and wish you all a nice weekend!
