thank you Scottie, very busy, you are the best. I'm looking forward to this lesson.

Cathy

I am so very impressed with the level of dedication to your students on this platform. You really seem driven to providing the best learning experiences and the obvious time and effort you put into the production of these videos prove it. I really appreciate it, Scottie.

Hi Scottie! First, thank you so much for these amazing lessons. I am absolutely loving them. You’re a great teacher and have fostered a wonderful community. I know that these are just for Patrons, but I noticed that you used to host them on YouTube and now are hosting them on the Patreon app. One thing you may not have considered is that on YouTube we can download the videos to watch offline. I downloaded some of the old ones to watch and try my hand out on long flights. I fly a lot so that’s a feature I really appreciate! If there are other benefits to keeping these videos hosted on Patreon, I completely understand, but I thought I’d just let you know. Thanks for all you do!

Scottie, this is amazing. Having all this information in one place as reference and to work through is so wonderful and enhances my learning experiences. You do such an amazing job. This is so much work. Your lessons are fantastic. I get so much out of them and actually achieve something at the end, that I can try and apply on my own. Thank you. An amazing job.

Jodi Dawson

I really like how you broke down exercises- thanks Scottie- we can all concentrate on what we need most (all of them)😂

Finally!! You’ve managed to teach me something no one else has been able to. Thank you!!!

FYI it’s not that I don’t want to post my work, but the Patreon iPad app doesn’t support anything other than text in the messages.

Wow, thank you, it took me three sittings to get through this but really learnt a lot. Now to practice what I’ve learnt.

David G.

Thank you for an excellent tutorial, Scottie. While I practiced, I realized that if I concentrated on shapes rather than facial features, the portraits would appear under my pen as if the sitters were emerging from fog. One tip for the novice: use a cup to trace a circle on the reference’s face and use the same cup to render the circle for the drawing. Very grateful for this instruction!

Monica

Your tutorials are amazing! SO much to learn just in each video! You teach everything I have always wanted to learn but thought I just couldn't do it. You're a great teacher.

Flemming Madsen

Hi - how do you make the dots om tage reference? Print it? Digitaly?

Asvin Parsad

Hi Scottie. your tutorials are amazing! i enjoy how your broke down the portrait coloring into a simple base color, warm areas & shades. Could you post some examples with darker skin, and how the shading & highlights would work?

Monica Alvén

Just want to say that I love your tutorials 🙏. You explain so good! Thank you for that 😃
