So looking forward to this session - blocking out time on the weekend!!

Many thanks! Finally a course with clear explanations! Would you be kind enough to provide details on the ears? Wonderful day from Switzerland 🤩

Thank you for including the dimensions of the small and large faces. Even with the sizes in mind, I had trouble keeping the small faces from evolving into large ones, but knowing how big the faces should be was a big help.

Terrific Scottie

Great Tutorial Scottie. I have had major problems with small faces on my life drawings. Now at least some light on the horizon.

Mayela Fonseca

Excellent tutorial. Just what I needed. Thanks

Hey Scottie, great tutorial! Huge unlock for me just sketching the eyebrows/eyelash/eye all in one as just featuring shadows. I noticed that you seem to have some kind of intuition about how to angle the eyes and mouth to convey emotion/expression - something that I can't quite figure out and I think it's making my sketches look a bit funny. Do you have any tips on that? Edit: I've just finished the tutorial on facial features fundamentals. Immensely helpful for the basics of form/perspective of facial features but still interested in conveying emotion 😁

dave

Very challenging, but made some progress. Will reinforce with some sketches of my own.

Hey Scottie I love creating these little faces. The faces are looking less like a prison line up now lol. Comparing how I began is really encouraging. Thank you for sharing your tips 😊

I love sketching in an A5 art journal when I go out, this lesson is very much appreciated. Hopefully, with more practice in your method, I’ll stop having huge eyed people!

I found these exercises so helpful for capturing small faces.

What a great tutorial! I have recently started sketching people out in public and what I learned in this tutorial is exactly what I needed. Thanks for doing what you do Scottie!

Scottie, just finished watching this video. As always, you break it down into such digestible segments. I’m practicing making these loose sketches but any time I try to add those detail lines on the face, it immediately makes the face look older. What am I doing wrong? And how can I avoid this?
