Thank you. You have such an easy way of instructing. I love painting buildings. Sometimes quite accurate and sometimes very whimsical.

Amanda

This was a great tutorial! Thanks Scottie!

Rosie Green

Very pretty :-). Thanks for talking more about the shadows & highlights and where to put them, Scottie - most helpful :-D.

The Kmart Kelly Show

Hey Scotty thank you so much for this channel I am new to drawing and your tutorials have given me the confidence that I can draw and watercolor. I was wondering if you plan to do some tutorials on drawing the inside or interior of a building or place? Example like inside a cafe or cool looking room. Thank you!

Carmel Spencer

Another lesson suggestion please Scottie, I tried to sketch inside a train carriage recently. A bit tough without a bit of coaching available for me.

Linda Richardson

Hi I’m a total beginner, and not sure where to find the very first lesson on Patreon Thanks! Linda

Sunita Unnikrishnan

Such an amazing tutorial. I love how you explain each step in detail and patiently.. This turned out so beautiful when i sketched it too. thank you so much!

John

Hi Scottie, a great lesson to watch and I look forward to giving it a go as my first full urban line and wash project. A had a question about whether you ever painted wet in wet with these types of art work?

Inès

Hi Scottie ! I tried to sketch the house and turned out beautifully. But once I get to the watercolor part, the colors are not as bright as yours, they're more dull . What do you think that could be linked to? Should I change my water more often? I do have a high grade watercolor set so maybe it's for more realistic paintings?

Vale R

You are a great teacher Scott! I am complete beginner and this is my first watercolor piece EVER, and although not perfect it came out decent! I might have found a new obsession in urban sketching. PS - Was going to post the result but doesnt seem I am able to here. Thank you so much! looking forward to going through your other tutorials :).

Echo Creative Journey

Hey hi Scottie!.Love being here and you are such an outstanding teacher !My straight lines from left to right )or right to left are not good.they are too loose(not straight/control is not good)up and down is perfect. How can i improve this ?thanks.Niles

Michael

Hi Scott, Please could you include a picture of the completed project in your download package. It will give some guidance as to the final goal towards which we are headed. Thanks.

Carmen

I think the greatest teacher is the one who can teach anybody everything he knows. And from my point of view you are that teacher. Now about this drawing - I was quite satisfied with my own sketching. The problem was with my painting - I can't say I like it, it looks a little bit childish... 🤭

Rajat Duggirala

Hi Scotty, loved following along so thank you - how did you know to pick that specific color for the shade?
