hey guys at around the 2 minute mark it is mentioned that this is only in japan but there is a very short series called "burn the witch" that takes place in england that kubo made in the bleach universe except in england hollows are dragons and soul reapers are mages to fit with english lore like bleach fits with japanese lore it would be a cool series to just randomly react to when you feel like it since its only a couple episodes

Ikakku bankai one of the dopest scenes and with my ost precipice of defeat it made it so much better. Glad he got some shine this arc. The guy who Ikkaku fought was rank 13 (Trece) not 3. Kubo stated that he became interested in the spanish language because of how passionate it sounded. It's basically a love letter to the language, so he wanted to include it in Bleach. - Menos Grande - Hueco Mundo (mentioned before) - Arrancar = "To tear off". - Cero = Zero (Technique we seen before, the big red blast. We last seen Yammy use it) Also with the spanish music I know it's some terms I missed but it'll be more spanish in the future

Kubo actually approached this manner in a slightly unique manner, our side as in the protagonist side is mostly made of allies that haven't shown how capable they are, so instead of looking forward to training arcs, we instead simply have to wait and see just how capable some characters are. - Another writing tactic kubo leans on a lot is feeding the viewers partial information or having unreliable narrators speak their thoughts as if it's a "fact". This is effective because usually in shonen characters often directly tell us what needs to be known, Kubo uses that expectation to manipulate the viewers assumptions.

Ikkaku & also Renji were both hella nerfed during their first fights with Ichigo for the sake of plot iwl I honestly think if they both did go all out from the get go, Ichigo would’ve lost to both I’d say Ichigo only surpassed them after unlocking Bankai Even Byakuya, although he “gave up” the fight…I still think he also would’ve whooped Ichigo if he kept going. The reason he gave up was more than likely cuz of the words Ichigo said that reached out to him

I’ve been rewatching some stuff lately and something I noticed is the difference in how fights are handled in Bleach compared to Naruto and One Piece. I think Bleach easily has some of the best fight sequences in terms of animation, choreography, and just how cool everything looks. Like I recently watched the latest Sakamoto Days episode and the fight there reminded me a lot of Bleach, it’s just fun and really well done. But at the same time, I don’t find most of the fights in Bleach as “memorable” afterward. They’re amazing in the moment, but since there are so many fights happening all the time, it kind of blends together for me. Maybe that’s just my taste, but I feel like Naruto and One Piece do a better job at making each fight feel more meaningful. There’s usually a lot of emotion, lore, or character depth tied into them, so they stick with me more. I’ve watched all three shows multiple times, and I always find myself remembering Naruto and One Piece fights more clearly than Bleach ones. So yeah, I think Bleach wins in terms of fight quality, but Naruto and One Piece hit harder when it comes to fights that stay with you. Just something I’ve been thinking about while watching.

Every 'team' has their own culture they're based on. Soulreapers are based on Japanese, arrancars are based on Spanish, bounds (fillers) were based on European folklore, quincies are based on German. Ishida's bow technique from episode 7 is called heilig bogen (holy bow). This happens often in anime's. Think about black clover. The character Licht has light magic. Licht also meaning light in Dutch and German. Or the character Nacht, meaning night, again in both Dutch and German. I’d say the most recent/current arc in bleach is helping deliver with memorable and emotional fights considering the circumstances, it also helps bleach considering I think they overall have the best villains in the big 3 just above Naruto IMO, makes the fights all the more interesting and compelling for me.

Hmm I’m not sure I fully agree about the current episodes being that emotional or memorable just yet. I think some of the upcoming arcs definitely deliver on that front though. But yeah, it really comes down to personal taste. I’ve always been more into story than just fight sequences, one of the reasons I love Frieren so much. Bleach definitely has consistently great fights, and Aizen is easily one of my favorite villains. I love the smart, calculated types. I wouldn’t say Bleach has better villains than Naruto or One Piece though, that feels pretty subjective. Bleach has the edge in power scaling for sure, but I really like a lot of the villains in One Piece too. What I meant before is that because Bleach has so many high-stakes fights happening back-to-back, they start to blend together for me. Like I already kind of know what to expect going in, big hype, lots of blood, my favorite Spanish OST’s.💃🏽 It’s always cool, but sometimes it feels more like fighting just to keep the energy up, not always with deeper emotional weight. And that’s not a bad thing, it’s just a different vibe that works for the show:) Also, what I meant about the fights blending together is that when I’m old and trying to look back on anime I’ve watched, I feel like I’ll remember Naruto and One Piece fights more. The way those shows stretched out fights and packed them with emotion, backstory, and character moments made them really stick. With Bleach, as epic as the fights are, there’s just so many of them happening so often that it gets hard to remember specific ones. Like there are too many bangers to remember them all haha.

Just to make your explanation more concise: Soul Reapers & Human World - Japanese Hollows - Spanish Quincy - German Bounts - England *Side Note* - Not all Hollows are strong to become Arrancar. If they attempt to cross the threshold and aren’t strong enough, they will lose their sanity and possibly die. These failed attempts have been referred to as Mock Arrancar!

I would not say Ikkaku was a stepping stone for Ichigo, like you said. Jidanbo was one, but Ikkaku was not. Ichigo had trouble fighting Ikkaku if you go back to watch your reactions. Ichigo only got the better of him after he started to read Ikkaku's moves, which made Ikkaku slow.
