The discussion (not a rambling at all!) after the episode was so good, it really enriched impressions from the series. Loved the sunrise scene in the episode, so wholesome.

I cried a lot the first time I watched this episode when the grandma died because I love my own grandma so much and I think I cried more today while watching with you guys. My grandma practically raised all of her grandkids, even those in the US (we're from the Philippines), and it is because of her that everyone in her side of the family are really close despite the distance. She is now 92 yrs old and her mind is still sharp but her body is starting to give up. She's currently in a hospital and her prognosis isn't good. I cried while I was hugging her yesterday because I know she wants to live for at least three more years to see me graduate and work (I'm in my last year in college). The show really makes you think about life and appreciate the people around you.

You guys have no idea how hard it is not to say anything! Your theories are so good. I’m itching to respond but no spoilers. Trust me, all your questions will be answered in the next episode!

Funnily I always thought that too, "why can't we leave baby teeth alone?!" Cuz I was so scared of taking them out, but then I hid from my mom when one of my back teeth was loose so she wouldn't pull it, my new tooth grew into the baby one instead of pushing it out, it was absolutely lodged in there so after a couple years of having a weird merged tooth thing, I went to a dentist to pull it. It was supposed to be a clean and simple tug situation, so I asked to only use topical instead of getting novacaine injected, so the dentist agreed and he had to really really tug, yank, and everytually, the only thing he could do to unlodge the thing was to put enough pressure with his grabby tool thing to shatter the outer tooth completely, so then he had to dig out all the shards from my gums with the claw thing and the whole time I was thinking "note to self, removing teeth is important. And so is novacaine" 😅 the "adult tooth" left over was a lot weaker and smaller than the baby tooth and a bit weirdly shaped, so it had tried to fuse with the old one. I dunno how common that happens, but I imagine that's why we pull loose teeth usually lol to avoid a dbz fusion situation. Still though, I'm too scared of it myself so when my "nephew" was little and asked me to help him pull his tooth, I told him to keep pushing it around with his tongue forward so he wouldn't swallow it. After about 4-5 hrs of him dinking with it, we were able to soak it in milk and put it in his baby tooth box. I can't imagine having to try and pull someone's tooth out 🫣 used to have teeth nightmares

this episode made me so happy and it was so wholesome but it also made me cry and miss my parents and my sister so I can't wait for the hollidays to go visit them, I think it is a place where I can shut dow the world and just enjoy being with my family, so it was so good watching geum myeong going to them and how she really appreciates the time she spends with them and how she heals from everything. Thank you so much for your reactions and yes it is a wonderful show where you get to experience through many generations and it makes you question about everything but I love hearing your thoughts, I seriously can't wait for the next episode, have a great week!

I miss the young Yang Gwan Sik (Park Bo-gum) actor too~ and I feel like if Dongmyeon was around he’d look exactly like his father! 😭

Your end-of-episode talks really made me introspect about the trajectory of my life. This episode was amazing and you guys are the best. Just saying

Older Gwan-sik and adult Geum-yeong scenes makes me cry more than when she was a kid and stuff. I think its because im very young too im 21 and my dads getting older. Im just now stepping into that era of trying to figure out what i want to do with myself. And this role Gwan-sik reminds me so much of my dad. We still hold hands while crossing streets or walking somewhere and im constantly worried for his health, back and legs. And it makes me cry and also annoys me that he just laughs it off or says hes fine. It took me a whole year just to convince him to go to a damn dermatologist to get his hands checked cause he had so many cracks and stuff. And even longer to get him to go to the doctor for regular checkups. It annoys me cause i just want him to live long life together with me. But for him hes happy with his life how it is and just wants to see me thrive.
