Oh wow, I haven’t seen this show in years. You guys pick up some good sleepers.

banlungx001

isn t it fate before this one usually? what happen to fateeee

ElijahLew

Hahaha we Fate fans counting down the days every week till this day

In the last episode and the second we see the little detail that despite Koga being enough of a justice warrior to attack someone she thinks is a pedophile, she cannot ignore a text message even in a police station. On top of that in the previous episode when Sakuta asks her for help she immediatley disengages from even replying because they pressured her with ‘how do you know hospitalization senpai?’.

Kinda Arty Person

There’s a new ending now if you guys wanna watch it! Same song but different singer and visuals. The last one was done by Mai’s VA and this one is Koga’s VA :)

Think its common for students to go to school on weekends for club activitys in Japan. (I THINK)

Akurogi Musai

If you're wondering how to call this show, the official short name is "AoButa" based on its Japanese name, and fans also call it "Bunny Senpai"

From what I know Japanese schools used to be 6 days a week until early 2000s then switched over to 5 days a week with classes available on the Saturday for those that want to attend especially for high schools this is also when they will hold clubs as well from what I understand even though it's no longer mandatory a lot of pupils attend out of fear and pressure that they might fall behind if they don't

I might be mistaken but I read the scene with the friends slightly differently than you guys did. I personally took it as them asking what his intentions are dating her immediately after being publicly "dumped by mai" in a protective sense rather than a mean way. As in are you really serious and its not just a rebound, yes she's cute but what more made you want to date her. Like I said I could be wrong but that was my interpretation not having seen the rest of the show.

V

Yeah, it’s mostly private schools

"Everything showed in a tv is related to the plot" You mean Chekhov's gun? "If in the first act you have hung a pistol on the wall, then in the following one it should be fired. Otherwise don't put it there". It's true that you shouldn't put unrelevant thing into a story without good reason. It's to not mislead a viewer about expectations or ideas about what will happend next.

The dry humor of this show kills me 😂 I remember being so mad at the English title deterring me from such a good show for so long! Also ya that Eng translation made the friend's line "What's so good about her?" Sound so bitchy lol what a better way to put it would've been "What do you find so great about her that you're already over Mai?" Subs like these actually make me want to translate for Crunchyroll or Netflix but then the translations about all the philosophy and scientific topics make me like "hahaha no." Lol because something people don't always think about with translation/interpretation is you have to completely understand the concepts of conversation from both languages, and while I'm confident I can follow a lot of these concepts (we studied them in my Phil and Psych courses) I dunno if I could follow it in Japanese which has a much more complex linguistic spectrum. What we simply would call radiation, they probably have different names for different types of radiation 😭 lol but ya anyway, the name choice really throws me off for it being one of the best shows I've ever seen because of all the concepts it brings up

vivaan

i agree lol i grew up in japan and sometimes anime reaally mess up translations
