The Anime Dude

I haven’t seen this yet either cuz I’ve been reading through Re Zero & wanted to read the if stories after - but will watch with y’all! (Glad it’s confirmed no spoilers past where yall are at in the anime for this one.) One of the reasons Re Zero & Mushoku Tensei are my favorite isekai stories is that the characters, including the protagonists, are very flawed / imperfect… (albeit in very different ways) The story going in a good direction counts on them CHOOSING to do good. Choosing to protect and take responsibility for those that they care about. Choosing to try to be better as they learn to love themselves in spite of their flaws. Humans all have the capability/capacity to spiral towards evil - and when it happens it’s often small decisions that gradually lead them in that direction until they don’t even recognize themselves. This seems like a fantastic IF story that shows just how thin that line within each individual can be, and how important the choices we make and our connections with others are. Choose virtue, not sin.

Kindyh Bordat

Don't worry, no spoiler for pride, Sloth and greed I think

The Sword Demon

This is dope the what if stories are interesting side stories of what Subaru would have done instead can’t wait for the next one.

A Guy

This is a nice surprise. I think you guys are going to enjoy this little detour. Some things that aren’t covered in the video are the fact that Subaru kind of finds a found family within Meili and Elsa, in fact Elsa outright falls in love with him. This route also served as the first confirmation that Subaru can die a permanent death.

Kindyh Bordat

Pride is my second favorite IF. It feel good to have a Subaru with actual strength of character, who isn't afraid of RBD and see it like a tool to be used with pragmatisme.

Doge Master

Yes this what if is very much what would Subaru be like if he had peteguese's obsession

A Guy

Other interesting missed facts about this route are the fact that Otto’s talents became so prominent as Subaru’s machinations kept getting worse he eventually became known as the merchant of death. The other fact is the method that was used to burn the territory of Lugunica, remember that minor spirit, he formed a contract with to get around getting possessed by petelgeuse. Subaru somehow managed to insanely speed up its natural development and turned it into a being arguably stronger than Beatrice with her full capabilities. Which goes to show just how insane his natural affinity for spirit arts is.

A Guy

I also believe that like with the sloth and greed if routes the pride route is going to get even more material soon so it might be worth a revisit if echidnut covers it assuming there aren’t any spoilers.

A Guy

From what we’ve seen so far, the save points only really correlate to what would serve as a good point to ensure Subaru’s safety above all else. Subaru just finds workarounds if it’s particularly bad. Hell I think it’s even stated by echidna that return by death prioritizes primarily the survival of Subaru above everyone else even Emilia isn’t really considered

A Guy

I for one think more would be great and don’t worry about gluttony and wrath. There aren’t any spoilers people were primarily worried about character reveals, but you already found out who they were during the first cour of season 4 so it all should be fine.

CD Elio

Ah yes the if stories, my favorite one is the latest one, but that is for another time.

Sum Ting Wong

Watch the wrath one and the sloth one, these are amazing, others you can decide. Greed is also pretty good. My fav is gluttony route, but there will be spoilers so avoid that, and also i have not found any perfect video for that as echidnut has not made one for that, other videos are not as good, so i would say avoid that, because it is very very very complicated, and tough to understand without proper handholding

UBP

to be fair, we did have the checkpoint at the end of season 1 with Rem which was horrible and irreversible

Cristian Bengasi

i think that is not about version of Subaru, but more like choices and event, for example in season 2 when Roswald asked him to do the trial for Emilia, if Subaru didn't have the prior debate with the witches he would make the choice that would drive him insane, even a small conversation or making a wrong choice in a bad day, can change your whole values, this if storie is more like if light didn't choose to turn back to pick the notebook, he probably would have matured with age, and be more like his father instead of a child playing god

Aquos Rocketleague & Stuff

ayy i love it when you react to english content. Since you are my favourite reactors i can play hearthstone while watching this :D, Also thank you sooo much for the magnyfying thing for the subtitles you do for your Japanese content, ive checked out some other reactors and you would hope this is something most of them do, but so far youve been the only ones i seen it from, i can easily watch your Content from Bed and that makes me happy. You guys are great!

RCG

Genuinely baffled that there isn't more Re:Zero (anime) content. "Only" four seasons in ten years for one of the most popular anime and probably the biggest isekai. From what I understand, there's still a ton of main story left to adapt and all the side/IF routes sound really interesting too.

Nostalgino MO

actually no one can handle the mental toll of "carrying justice" , everyone in that type of position will inevitably suffer a great amount psychologically morally and mentally. its while a system that focuses on rehabilitation work better in almost every way.

Infinite Winds

Even though I know these are by the series author, the way this guy delivers some of the lines as he describes what happens it feels like fan fiction in the most hilarious way to me, still enjoying it though

D B

I've watched Wrath, Greed, and Sloth and I confirm they have no spoilers for you guys 🫡 Also, the ending of Pride showing Satella will let Subaru die a permanent death is really interesting to me given the most recent episode of the anime. Remember when Satella was sort of cocooning around Subaru, and Subaru was peacefully accepting it and saying he didn't want to go on anymore? Emilia frees him from that, but I wonder if she hadn't if that was Satella releasing her hold on Return By Death since Subaru didn't want to go on anymore.

Arvrxx

Good thing Reinheart's a good guy.

Flur

Echidinut narrative and storytelling is actually way too good, maybe not top, but sure above average, he also creates a good identity as an narrator

TooMuchBaka

Great reaction! You can watch Sloth, Greed and Wrath at this point, the others have spoilers. Wrath has a couple characters from future arcs but there’s absolutely no story spoilers in it.

Joshua Moore

If you Decide to watch gluttony since echinnut dose has not vid on to watch the video by jamillian8 Tsugihagu - Re:zero Gluttony IF story

Joshua Moore

I don’t believe gluttony will spoil anything

Tatsuke44

Isnt the wrath and sloth if have some character that haven't yet appear in the anime

Tim Tim

33:06.. as some detective (and Meili in Subaru's head) said.. killing becomes a habit

Tim Tim

35:00. He were "Pride" just symbolically, but technically no. Every archbishop have a witch-factor that gives them abilities, for example sloth for invisible hands etc. Subaru never had Pride witch factor, I'll say even more, noone knows who have Pride (well, in the current anime at least, won't say anything about light novell, even thought I did read it)

JokerFever

Just to help out a bit I will try to explain it clearly. Web novel Greed If version does not have spoilers, but the light novel version does. The reason I diffirentiate them is that the web novel one came first and after the anime released, Tappei added a lot details to it and rereleased it as a light novel which was given away when you bought the anime blu-ray. Anyways most videos about it talk about the web novel version so you guys are ok to watch it, you can check the same person (echidnut) video about it since its from the web novel one. Aside from Greed If, Gluttony If is ok to watch but only after finishing S4. Wrath and Sloth IF you can still watch since they really dont have story spoilers, but rather characters "reveals" kind of. I mean, we havent even seen some of them in the web novel yet, so this is like their only appearance. They have been mentioned in the anime but thats about it. Its not really a heavy spoiler if you ask me but if you guys want 0 spoilers I guess dont watch them. Tho I repeat, its not so much a spoiler that ruins the whole show since while we will see some characters in future seasons its a long way to go and plus not much is revealed about them. Think of it as a name and appearance spoiler of a character. Not so much story spoilers. Prbl the only other thats ok to watch is whats considered to be lust if (Please dont watch this one, even the author deleted it a few hours after he published it hahah, it has nothing much going on content wise anyways) and Vainglory If, this one is kinda weird since its officially called Rezero academia but the author did state that it could be considered Vainglory IF, anyways it only has a few chapters and it isnt completed so its not worth reacting to it yet The rest of the IF stories do need knowledge from future arcs so they will spoil you. Hope this helps! Love when reactors watch the if stories since they are really cool, heres hoping you guys have an openning to watch atleast greed if sometime in the future 🙏

Renden

There were some issues with the studio in-between seasons, and then COVID happened.

Renden

That could be explained by the fact that Subaru didn't know that her name had been erased. If the prerequisite for setting a checkpoint is that 'he is satisfied with the outcome,' then he might've been satisfied without realizing the problem.

Renden

Sounds a lot like Echidna to me 🤔

Aiden Chang

please do all of the IF routes

Kavry

the 2 characters you're prolly thinking of were mentioned in a recent episode, and will become more prevalent in the next 2 arcs. Funnily enough they were actually first written about in the wrath if story, arc 6/season 4 (where they're first mentioned in the main story) wasn't created yet when the wrath if came out

NoSoupRice

So Crusch's existence gets erased and Felis goes crazy but the same thing happens to Rem and Ram is completely fine?

Meg Ustav Lover Guh

Petelgeuse always thought Subaru was Pride, Subaru probably went along with it, and to be fair, if he killed all the cult in his own "im gonna be the most important villain there ever was" then he earned the title XD

Mite

that’s mainly cause it’s more of an abridgment of the story, so it has more of a fan fiction vibe
