It was weirdly shown in this episode but for the kunimi girlfriend thing, I think it was about the fact the girlfriend goes to the same university as Sakura rather than them breaking up. That’s why he playfully left it as a surprise incase Sakuta randomly saw her.

7:00 in Hawai’i asking people what high school they went to is a default question for us as well

Yeah Kunimi and Kamisato are still together, it's kinda hard to tell in the anime because there is a ton of inner monologing that sakuta does in this arc and they just cant include everything hes thinking in the anime cus of runtime, I personally love this arc still

Kunimi didn’t break up with his girlfriend lol. He just thought it was funny that they went to the same college when they don’t like each other.

The joke at 21:30 is slightly hard to translate unless you opt for full localization of the joke. Because when he pulls his mouth and says "Kanazawa-Bunko" (The station name), it's hard to pronounce the 'B' sound, so it's hard to pronounce at all (or slightly gives an 'U' sound). So he ends up saying "Kanazawa-Unko", and "unko" in Japanese means poop. So he basically said "Kanazawa's poop", Sakuta tricked him. Yes it's a poop joke.

I found it easier to make friends in highschool. By that point, everybody had a reputation to some degree, and nobody particularly disliked me so I was always able to interact with all sorts of groups of people outside of my core friend group. In college, that social dynamic got reset and because I am quite introverted and shy, I didn't reach out as much and most people generally kept to themselves. That being said, the interactions in college were certainly more up-front and coming from a genuine place than they did in highschool.

Well that makes sense since you’re on an island! lol

You’re thinking of bunka (culture), not bunko! Kanazawa-Bunko is actually the name of the station the train’s stopping at during that scene (the joke itself is pretty old and usually done with the phrase gakkyū bunko). It’s one station away from Kanazawa-Hakkei (the closest station to their campus) on the Keikyū line. The station’s named after a famous medieval library turned museum: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanazawa_Bunko

Haha, I actually missed the station name lol. It really appears for a short time, I guess I wasn't paying attention. And thanks for the correction, yeah I accidentally confused "bunka" and "bunko", it was a really long day that day I commented lol. Thank you

Yeah, as others said Kunimi & his girlfriend are still together. The LN makes it clear that she went into nursing because Kunimi is a firefighter/EMT, so viewed it as supporting his career in a way. She went to the mixer for the same reason Sakuta did - filling in the third seat while not actually looking for a match.

I had a way harder time making friends in college than in high school.
