I really enjoyed the discussion at the end you guys really nailed the nail on the head about shigaraki one thing I will note is that afo has shown he doesn’t care for shigaraki beyond someone to use as he was gloating the fact that he groomed him into hating hero’s to all might and the fact that he has someone directly tied to his master etc I think shigarakis backstory shows a big part in nature vrs nurture to me in shigarakis head afo is his hero that saved him from what happened after the actual hero’s ignored him I think this aswell plays a lot in his view on hero’s now (also 5 year old shigaraki hugging the hands of his family members while crying always makes me tear up)

I’m so ready for you guys to react to shigaraki’s origin… just imagine, he accidentally killed his family. His quirk is decay, once he touches something with his 5 fingers, the thing gets decayed. Imagine how normal it is for a child to touch his family, but with the little cute fingers of that toddler has suddenly became a weapon? That’s terrifying for shigaraki and his family

I both agree and disagree with this comment. Even though I think the backstory arc in Vigilantes was alright, the rest of it is really...mediocre.

It's really very noticable how flat and disingenuous All For One's comforting words were. He knew exactly what he should say and do to pull Shigaraki in on that street corner, and then he began moulding him after his own desire. The doctor had a similarly flat, emotionless reaction when he asked if AFO would "tinker" with him, and notably when AFO responded smoothly with "No," it's obvious it was all just going according to plan.

AFO's doctor is the same doctor that diagnosed Deku as quirkless in episode 1 btw. Thats not a spoiler hes litterally there in the first episode which is crazy.

unfortunately the censorship laws of tv have hurt shigaraki the most in terms of visuals in many cases which sucks cuz hes the main villain
