Be aware there is a post credits scene at the end of episode 10.

I did really like the realistic treatment of orbital rendezvous here, since I've commented before with minor nitpicks of some of the orbital mechanics in this show. I think it was Gordo who says in the episode that you would think if Molly was only half a mile away they could just point straight at her and thrust forward, but it doesn't work like that. They're both moving really fast in (roughly) a circle around the Earth, just burning towards Molly would just bend that circle a little bit rather than sending them in a straight line towards her. And then once they're close Gordo says to forget orbital mechanics and just go straight for her, this also rings true to my experience in Kerbal Space Program. It's technically not the most efficient way to do it but it's too hard to calculate properly matching orbits any closer than that so in the game that's exactly what I'd do. If you have any interest in developing an intuitive feel for how this orbital mechanics stuff works without having to know the math I highly recommend the game. Scott Manley has some great videos functioning both as tutorials for the game and explaining the real-world physics behind it, this one illustrates how orbital rendezvous works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St515zjUZHY&list=PLYu7z3I8tdEmqpOkQZCl5SZB5t0vXuxE0&index=10

This is great, thanks for sharing. I love Scott Manley's YouTube channel, he's big on Kerbal and all things NASA / aerospace. (I think it was the NASA administrator who didn't understand that half a mile away was still a huge challenge).

Kevin, you're exactly right that this is a STRESSFUL show, in a brilliant way.

Yes, and it handles the tension perfectly, because it is always earned. A lot of television dramas could take a lesson from how this show executes the build-up and the execution of tense moments.

In real life news, two astronauts are currently stranded (but safe) since their recovery vehicle (Boeing Starliner) needs some TLC.

Love this episode, loved the ending so much! The darkness of the act is one thing but the potential international implications. We’re both horrified by Ed’s actions but also understanding of why he cracked. And with Sumatra’s “my way” playing through the whole scene and getting louder when Ed depressurizes the air lock. The red light on Ed’s unblinking face as he watches the cosmonaut suffocate. With “it was myyyyyy wayyyyyy” Perfect song choice because 1) Ed loves Sinatra 2) it’s a song about rebellion, The lyrics of “My Way” are a powerful story that reflects the life of someone who has lived his own way, with all the ups and downs and choices that come with it. The song expresses the idea of authenticity and the courage to follow one's own way, even if it means facing challenges and criticism. We know Ed has a bad temper and a McCarthyest hatred of communism (though Edward actually fought bad communists unlike McCarthy who persecuted innocent harmless communist Americans. It’s like the show has been planting seeds so this moment comes as a shock and fear but not an uncharacteristic surprise. You said yourself “this guy picked the wrong day to mess with Ed”
