Just when I thought I was out, they drag me back in.

Good job of Kevin outlining the connections of characters getting pulled back into their jobs. Another correlating story arc is how Elizabeth told Tuan that he "can't do it alone, it's too hard", and he needs someone to work with. At the end we see the opposite, Philip tells Elizabeth she can't do it alone, she needs someone and she basically tells him she'll be fine. In listening to the podcast earlier in the season, it is explained how Elizabeth sees Tuan as a young version of herself, which changed how I viewed these characters throughout the season on re-watch.

Originally airing on May 30, 2017, 'The Soviet Division' is Episode 13 of Season 5 of The Americans. It is the 65th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.1, placing it as the #2 ranked episode of this season and #29 out of all the episodes shown so far. Not a secret or spoiler for Joe, I know he's heard this feedback...for a lot of people, G.O.T. isn't in their Top 10 list because of the final Season. I think it gets too much criticism as it's still a better watch than, say Full House or Family Matters or Falcon Crest (I'm dating myself now) :) I don't want to hype it up too much because to each his/her own, different tastes etc. But for me, Lost is by far my #1 for so many reasons, and West Wing's consistency for 7 Seasons has it my #2...but Season 6 of the Americans might be the best Season of any show I've ever watched. The Americans is in my top 5 BECAUSE of the final Season.

That's a great way of looking at him. He is like a younger her. Love the parallels in this finale. Season 6 is going to be crazy!

I was excited before, now I'm pumped up and ready to go! Can't wait to see it. This is fun, my favorite season finales, Mad Men, Better Call Saul, and The Sopranos. Can't wait for Kevin to finish it so we can talk about it.
