The actor for owen has always been so funny to me, bc like you said, he's a full adult trying to remember (or, more likely, being told by directors) how teenagers act. The way he shows up holding onto the one strap of his backpack in almost every scene at the school is so funny to me 😂 Angel is a lot like the sailor moon/tuxedo mask meme where tuxedo mask says "my work here is done" and sailor moon says "but you didn't do anything!" Also, i try not to harp on sound issues, but for some reason it sounded like your mics were picking up a lot of little noises, like breathing and mouth sounds. It was a little distracting, is all

Not sharing when Angel's series starts, but there are crossovers. Depending on your schedule, you may choose to alternate between Buffy and Angel. They, for a time, aired in that order on Tuesdays.

I think it's just a matter of using handheld mics so no pop filter (a small mesh screen placed in front of a mic to block some of those breath sounds). I never thought of the Angel to Tuxedo Mask comparison before and now I can't unsee it.

I can never get terribly invested in Owen because we've never seen him before this, and while the show/actor is going for deep and mysterious, he comes off more as boring and morbid. "If the apocalypse comes, beep me" has got to be one of the more iconic lines in the whole show. This is all to say there was some very big and sad news that happened related to this show today (unrelated to the potential reboot) that talking about would spoil one of the things we especially don’t want to post spoilers about.

The actor for Owen is actually in his late 20s same as Xander, Cordelia and Angel. Buffy is the youngest cast member.

All the bands you see play at "The Bronze" (the nightclub in Sunnydale) were real bands. Usually "up and coming" bands from the LA area. Some of them made it big after their appearance. They released an album of songs performed in the show at some point too. Lane from Gilmore Girls would absolutely have a copy, I'd wager. 😅

Hey guys I just found you on YouTube and being a huge Buffy fan decided to add you to the large number of Buffy reactors I'm following lol. In answer to a question/ statement about the athleticism on the show, Sarah Michelle Gellar held a Brown Belt in Taekwondo when she was cast as Buffy. She went on to earn a Black Belt and also studied Streetfighting and Kickboxing. She wanted to perform as many stunts as possible but insurance and the producers often severely restricted what was allowed to her.

I noticed the breathing thing too, at first it coincided with Joe or Kevin having a cold so I assumed it was that but it's been going on for awhile now I don't know if it's the cold lingering, sorry if so, but if it's an audio issue I do think it would be a good idea to fix it.

I want to shout out this beautiful example of "As you know Bob" exposition. The master is reading out the prophecy to his underlings, a bit contrived if you think about it two seconds but I guess exposition needs to happen and we don't actually need to think about it. Wow the prophecy says THAT? OH SIKE THIS WHOLE THING WAS HIM BEING A PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE PISSPOT ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE! Straight infodump, punchline humor, character moment. Perfect execution.

This is probably no longer in the immediate headlines now, but a well-known actor who plays a very important role in this show but whom you won't see for a while on the show passed away in the last few days at a pretty young age, so @Joe and Kevin we'd like to know how you want us to handle that.
