The "Richard is like Dean" take is one I haven't heard before but it kinda makes sense! That Lorelai/Christopher shouting match is one of my favourite scenes and I was looking forward to your reactions - just a gut punch for me every time. Lauren Graham is so good here. And we finally see Emily stand up for her daughter FOR ONCE. Yes. Rory really didn't have any right to be angry at Jess. She's clearly frustrated but unable/unwilling to see that she's the one doing this to herself. Girl, you can get out! Of course the situation with Christopher didn't help. I think she might be feeling abandoned by her dad and she's misplacing than anger towards Jess, when really she's the one who abandoned him. That Kirk scene at the end was just so wholesome. I'm glad we had that going on in such an angsty, tumultuous episode.

This episode is like A Tale of Two People Who Won't Break Up with People They Don't Love (Christopher and Rory). Christoper is choosing Sherry even though he wants to be with Lorelai, but doesn't want to be seen as the bad guy. Rory is choosing Dean even though she wants to be with Jess, but acts like Jess has mortally wounded her by having a girlfriend. The entitlement must be genetic! haha!

"At least she had a husband to kill!" 🤣🤣🤣

Kudos to Kelly Bishop for portraying a character we'd normally find rather unlikeable with just the right amount of warmth/charme to make us go "Queen Emily". Love her! :)

Kirk's the best...:)

The "new maid every time" bit is a little like the "Kirk has every job in town" one. :)

Season 3 is a really, really great season! One of the favorites, if not the favorite. There are some "filler-episodes" too but even them have something more, something to talk or debate about.

A woman in my building asked me out, and it was probably just as awkward as Lorelei's sitch. It's someone you see just about every other day, but only know cursory information about, so any of the cliches sound extra cliche--I was asking every woman I knew for advice.

I've never been in that situation personally but I can imagine how awkward that would be. I'm sure you handled it like a champ!
