"I can't take that much acoustic guitar" is one of my favorite lines ever, ha! I think they had to take a break after this because Julia was diagnosed with breast cancer. So that knocked the show back and delayed the next season. Can't remember if it was between this and the next one, or if it was between the next one and the last season. They had to put the show on hiatus while she recovered. Thank God she did!

The show started so strong in S1, and for the seasons to then go from strength to strength! Such a great show. This is my favourite season. You get such good insight into Selena as a person in this and it does humanise her from just being this power hungry person. JLD deserved every award for this show and more. You should check out her acceptance speech at Emmys 2013 - it’s a cracker (https://youtu.be/1hXpyyt5tWU?si=IpMqA8uBB3KYfzzM) It’ll be interesting to see your reactions to the final two seasons.

Seasons 4 & 5 were by far the best stretch of episodes in the show. No spoilers on the next seasons, but I do think the high point of the show was the one you just watched. Next chapter is refreshing, but it has its weaker points too imho. Still love it. To me, JLD cemented herself as the greatest living comedy actress with Veep. I think she already was up there (admittedly), but this was like a hardcore confirmation of it. There is no one who can do what she does, at the level she does it at! Two more seasons, let's go!
