I'm pretty sure Rebecca's mom is the reason Josh proposed in the first place. He went to her when things were going left after Rebecca brought him home and I think she said something about him just having to listen to everything she said to fix things. Josh being so easily influenced is very irritating lol. I think everyone around Rebecca and Josh growing and changing gives you some hope for them eventually getting there.

Season finale coming next!!! "(Tell Me I'm OK) Patrick" is one of my favorite songs in the series. It's totally modeled on Burt Bacharach's "(What's It All About) Alfie", but beautiful in its own right, and Rachel Bloom sounds terrific performing it. And yes, the first time I watched, I just about fell off my chair laughing at the delivery box playing piano. I do wish Ms. Bloom (and the show) didn't go for the excretory humor so regularly. (And this won't be the last time.) Still, it says a lot for how much I love the series that I can just wave this aside.

I figured as much; and in fact (much as I enjoy and admire her) I haven't tried to read her book.

I can just see this episode in the writers' room. "How do we make Nathaniel seem more human? He could fly in Rebecca's dad with his private jet....Yeah, that's good, but still not quite enough....Hm...I know, let's have him poop his pants in the office! Bingo!"

Hahaha, I can't believe another Mykala subscribed to your Patreon right before me! Love your commentary!

Oh wait, it's already on my wish list 😁 even the title is a bit of a spoiler. Wow, I absolutely cannot wait for the final couple of episodes of this show ..

I had forgotten how much this episode moved along the plot... I just remembered it as "the pooping episode" and never want to rewatch it :D well, I did it for you, guys, and your reaction was precisely my reaction :D we are in for one hell of a season finale ^^ (more violent than you might expect...)

A person (Paula) cannot truly grow and be better until they acknowledge that they and take responsibility for their part in the horrible things that happened.
