Ted Lasso, Season 3, Episode 8

I'm not writing off Roy and Keeley just yet. He showed his ass, for sure, but he also immediately realized it and apologized. That doesn't make things 100% okay again, and they definitely need to hash things out (and not just for this), but I don't think he's crossed a Rubicon.

Laurel

Ted and Michelle definitely had a moment, but I think that sort of thing is understandable since they’d been together for 25 years and share a child. There’s bound to be a connection still. I don’t think that means they’ll get back together, however. Ted’s grown a bit, but the fact that he wanted to hire a PI to follow around his ex-wife and her new boyfriend on their vacation? Yeah, he’s still got issues to sort out. I do hope Michelle dumps Dr. Jacob, though. He’s trash. On the other side of things, I actually would like to see Jamie and Keeley end up back together. The reasons Keeley broke up with him are no longer present — epitomized beautifully in that ending scene — and Jamie’s evolved into the person she’d wanted him to be all along. I think it’d be really nice for them to get a second shot at things now that they’re better people, and they clearly still think the world of each other. If not, I hope she stays single rather than goes back to Roy. He’s got a LONG ways to go as an individual, and from what we’ve seen, they haven’t even talked about their breakup yet. Personally, I don’t think there’s enough time left in the season for a romantic reconciliation to be believable.

I actually did not like this episode much. I think it was my least favorite probably in the entire show Ted and Michelle situation felt really stale for me, they dragged it along for so many time and I think it lacked something wether they don't end up together or they do (please no) Roy did not do the best thing, but when we watch what he did and what Jack did, we can see he had no intentions to hurt her, he just felt insecure; she knew what she was doing Jamie is really the MVP of this season, he came full circle from Season 1 and every episode we watch it's just: "Look how much he grew, incredible" he's a good friend, a good teammate, a good ex-partner, a good person: such a growth Also, this near the end of the show, the episode felt a little slow and it's not easy to finish all the storylines with the little time they have left

ETA: They were definitely saying that it was Jamie she sent it to, it wasn't just a previous boyfriend. Which is why he apologized — he felt responsible because he forgot to delete the emails. Not that he *should* feel responsible, of course; sure, he should've had a stronger password, but he was hacked, like multiple people were, he certainly didn't do it on purpose. That's also, I think, the main reason why Roy asked Keeley who she sent the video to. He has always had a huge blind spot when it comes to her and Jamie having dated, even though by this point it's been YEARS since they were together. I think he accurately suspected it was Jamie she sent it to but had to know for sure, so his insecurities and jealousy overruled good sense. That doesn't make him a horrible person, but it's definitely another indication that he's not ready to be in a relationship with her.

I am also assuming that the "Reality star" that was leaked was Jamie.

Laurel

I doubt it. Jack knows who Jamie is — Keeley's footballer ex-boyfriend — so I don't think she'd describe him as "some random reality show guy," or mention him at all given the circumstances. My presumption is it's Danthony, who's appeared a couple times and outlasted Jamie on the show.

I think the writers didn't think that one all the way through. It's a little ambiguous if and how Jamie might know exactly what pictures of Keeley was leaked, but Roy should definitely have no way of knowing there was a video and that it was "for" someone unless he went and WATCHED it. I figure they would know that would be a far more inappropriate thing to do than making a moderately insensitive comment about it, but it's totally overlooked, so I figure they just glazed over a bit of "how does this character have this information" logic there. Still a little weird.

"Being responsible matters, Jamie" - He has grown so much!
