A scary episode!

Team Roman let's go! Disagree with your politics but you guys didn't allow it to impact the show. You are some alright libs. Not trying to be insulting but other reactors with your politics lose their minds on this episode and don't actually listen or watch they just complain the whole time. I think it goes to show how great this show is that someone with my politics basically watched a completely different episode than you guys because our perspectives are different. What makes this show better than GOT is that all the characters in this episode were true to who they have been in the show. They are not acting out of character they are exactly who we knew they were and the stakes are only getting bigger. I love this show and think you guys have put out the best reactions to it of any reactors. Thanks guys!

This episode gave me so much anxiety upon first watch, it really brought me back to 2016

Justin Kirk does a fantastic job at playing Mencken. That speech at the end gave me chills, he killed it in the role imo

Briana J

"I happen to be a billionaire.... sorry." Alan Ruck delivered that brilliantly.

In my opinion, this is the best episode of the show, and one of the greatest TV episodes ever. I've never seen a more stark, less idealized portrayal of the way the sausage is made in American politics, and the role of corporate news media. The way everything unfolded was disturbingly plausible. Reminds me of Fox calling Florida for Bush in 2000, and all the networks in 2016 calling the Dem primary for Clinton based on pledged delegates who hadn't voted yet. A few takeaways: 1. Roman has the least moral compass of the three siblings, and is also probably the most competent. I think he was so beaten down when Logan was still alive that he never took himself seriously, as a defense mechanism. But the first thing he actually applies himself to (swinging an election for a fascist), he knocks it out of the park. 2. Amazing performances by all three siblings here, but to me, Sarah Snook stole this episode. Such an unbelievably nuanced portrayal. 3. You guys called it perfectly, Mencken is like if Tucker Carlson ran for president 4. Roman in this episode is up there with Joffrey Baratheon for the most hateable, utterly irredeemable TV character.

Just detestable and the way they humanize these characters as well makes it all the more complicated. Ultimately they are villains and being this intimate with them is some of the most compelling tv I've ever seen.
