If you want the cliff notes version of Iran-Contra, by all means Wiki it. If anyone wants a full blown exactly what happened version and has the time, I came across this on YouTube a couple months ago - it's almost 2 hours long, but you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about it. Major props to the creator. https://youtu.be/E6Ucn-Whh4g?si=MxYrjfh88pT3L8vy Originally airing on April 9, 2014 (coincidently the date I got married that nobody else will care about but if my wife ever reads this I want to make sure I acknowledge it!), 'ARPANET' is Episode 7 of Season 2 of The Americans. It is the 20th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 7.8, placing it as the #12 ranked episode of this season and #19 out of all the episodes shown so far.

Aldrich Ames - possibly the most damaging traitor the US ever had - reportedly beat multiple routine polygraph tests. At some point during his incarceration he wrote the following letter to a leading US scientist about the technology: https://sgp.fas.org/othergov/polygraph/ames.html

The actor who plays Burov also played a deceptive and tricky Russian spy on Homeland. So when he showed up here, I knew he was trouble.

That was an excellent video, thanks for sharing. I recently watched drama-doc called Ghosts of Beirut which I highly recommend from the other side of the picture, as it deals with the birth of Islamic Jihad under Imad Mughniyeh and the hostage-taking which was driven in part by the capture in Kuwait of an underling-relative. The show also features an up-and-coming Iranian covert operative called Qassem Soleimani.
