You guys are always hilarious but I also love your genuine emotional reactions to moments like when Beth snaps at her mom but then at the end of the episode holds her hand.

Love it. Some chess tidbits for you: Soviets did dominate chess for decades. The whole story about Beth Harmon gearing up to go against the terrifying Russian(s) is inspired by the true story of Bobby Fischer, the lone American who rose up to challenge them. He essentially went insane shortly after, with severe paranioa and delusions, similar to Beth's mom in the show. Another great tidbit to show the complexity of chess, is that there's more possible chess game variations than there are atoms in the known universe. I know it sounds like bullshit, and it's too mind bending to possibly be true. There’s an estimated 10 to the power 80 (80 zeroes) atoms in the universe. There’s an estimated 10 to power 120 possible chess game variations (120 zeroes). And that’s just up to 40 moves, they can go longer.

I really didn't expect to hear y'all talking about filing the spank bank to Madonna in the 80's. Lol On a side note, I was with the B-52 group that deployed after 9/11. On what free time we had, we would play chess in the maintenance hangar. It was nothing more than squares drawn on a piece of plywood with aircraft bolts used as pieces . It wasn't much, but it was ours.

nice... that's the great thing about chest... you can play with chest anywhere... your story reminds me of the famous move called the "B-52 Breast Exam" - a crushing, flattening, and squeezing move. Many thanks to you my friend for all you did for us! 🫡🇺🇸

Kentucky Townes is my favorite all time chest player

And soooo many of these actual games in this show were real and even historical games.

You can copy moves others have come up with… and everyone has studied. Orrr you know the game so well, you are the one they name moves after, you don’t need to know or copy anyone else. Just a thought. Kind of like I saw an interview with a classic voice actor, he said too many people try to copy voices that made others famous, and have no voice of their own to stand on.

The national recognition might mess up the sick excuses….

I literally just had to join up to see this reaction 😂 as a serious chest player myself
