Yes! Two Chains/Pycelle is the dweeb in King's Landing way down south. Maester Llewyn is the one in Winterfell, and Maester Aemon is the blind one at the Wall - specifically Castle Black, I think

So here's what happened - Theon's dad (Balon) sent Theon to raid fishing villages w the Sea Bitch. Theon decided Torrens Square nearby would make a juicy target with the Northern army all gone south to fight the lannisters. When they were talking about it, Theon and deep voice dude were saying that they couldn't hold it, bc the starks would send men from winterfell to recapture it. That moment they had last episode was Theon realizing that when they did that, Winterfell would be left undefended. So while the winterfell soldiers were gone to recapture torrens square, theon and his crew took winterfell, which was left virtually undefended.

If you are watching GOT off of HBO Max streaming, I highly HIGHLY recommend you watch the short recaps that they show before each episode. They do a great job at showing you exactly what you need to remember so you're not lost at the beginning of each episode. I always watch the recaps and it helps tremendously. Love you guys. Also the dialogue Tywin had about his father , it’s very revealing of his character that a man like Tywin considered him a good man but weak man who nearly destroyed the Lannisters. Very telling of the man who Tywin is and became that he acknowledges his father as being a good person but also weak. Sure I’m sure Tywin is fully aware of how people perceive him , but also it was probably sacrifice he took to maintain the prestige of his House in reflection of his fathers shortfalls as a man who should have been respected but was not because of his good nature that made him appear weak if not an excuse to not take him serious because of his stature as not threatening.

Balon Greyjoy gave Theon an order says that he will have one ship to raid fishing villages along the Stony Shore. Yara saying that his ship is named Sea Bitch. later Theon tries to argue against the strategy with the ships first mate saying they can only hold it for a few days, then Winterfell will sent their own men to retake the city back. Theon trying to prove his worth to his father, he feigned an attack on the nearby Torrhen’s Square, which tricked Winterfell, Ser Rodrik leading most of the troops away from Winterfell to defend Torrhen’s Square, Winterfell now is undefended. They scaled the walls, killed the guard and opened the main gate, allowing the rest of the Ironborn to enter Winterfell.

Regarding the fact that Theon was raised at Winterfell and treated relatively well, it is still completely psychologically valid for him to rebel. Theon was taken away as a child from his family and his culture. Yes, the Ironborn are brutal and unpleasant people, but they were still his blood; he never truly knew them and always felt a profound sense of displacement. Even more importantly, his captivity was built on a direct, lethal threat: it was made explicitly clear to the Greyjoys that if Balon ever rebelled again, Ned Stark would execute Theon as punishment. Everyone knew that Ned took his honor and his duties to the crown so seriously that there was a very high chance he would have actually killed Theon if Balon defied the Iron Throne. Expecting Theon to feel a sense of genuine loyalty or gratitude toward his captors under those conditions is completely absurd. Try imagining anyone else being abducted as a political hostage under the constant threat of execution, treated "nicely" on the surface, and then having people expect them to be thankful to their captor. Important: i dont deny he went way to far in what he does know and his brutal actions. im only talking about the comments saying theon was an asshole for betraying the starks

Almost every House is assigned one. The old man who died from the poison on Dragonstone, was another one, with the name Maester Cressen. He was very devoted to Stannis, having been with him since the Baratheon brothers parents died when they were young. And he always felt the closest to Stannis, because he saw him as the awkward, serious brother who really needed him. And he was willing to die to try and protect him from Melisandre. Which obviously did not work.
