Happy Wednesday, Addie. Riddle me this, riddle me that. I'm so glad to see you react, to Batman Forever (1995) and I'm also glad that you enjoyed this movie. RIP always to Val Kilmer (1959-2025). I even own this movie on DVD on a double-sided disc with the Widescreen (1.85:1) version on one side and the Full-Screen (1.33:1) version on the other, the latter is in open matte. I even get a good jam out of Kiss From A Rose by Seal. BTW, Tim Burton produced it while Joel Schumacher directed it. And perfect timing for the film's 30th Anniversary this year.

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 RIP always to Val Kilmer!!! 🕊 Good movie choice for his tribute reaction. I think his Batman is maybe my third or fourth favorite of all the Batmans. This movie also has a stacked cast. Jim Carrey is great as The Riddler. Definitely looking forward to watching this one later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Glad you got to check this one out Addie. I enjoyed this movie.

You gotta watch Spartan. It’s maybe in his top 3 best performances and it’s super underrated.

...and speaking of Chris O'Donnell, who plays Robin, I also suggest Vertical Limit (2000). #VerticalLimitForAddieCounts https://youtu.be/pRdFuZSW4-Y?feature=shared I even suggest School Ties (1992), Scent of a Woman (1992), The Three Musketeers (1993), and The Chamber (1996). #MoreChrisODonnellForAddieCounts

If you thought that Batman Forever (1995) was an attempt to mix oil and water, then Batman & Robin (1997) would be ALL water.

Kyle

Yes, this was a different era of Drew Barrymore. In fact it's the same year she posed naked in Playboy and went on the Late Show and flashed David Letterman.

Jake Steffen

Yes, this is a very cheesy batman movie, but the next one (and last of this series) is the cheesiest. No they are not great movies but they were my batman movies (Forever was the first batman I saw in theaters), Forever and the next one (Batman & Robin) are definitely guilty pleasure movies for me, haha

For Val. Hi Addie, Val Kilmer sure had a busy '94-'95, he did three films including 'The Ghost and the Darkness'. While he was filming 'Batman Forever' he was also doing double duty in Michael Mann's 'Heat'. Switching between film sets every other day must have been exhausting. For me, Val is the best representation of Bruce Wayne, and he also got the seal of approval from Batman co-creator Bob Kane. I've always liked 'Batman Forever', we don't talk about 'Batman & Robin', haha! (nervous laughter). RIP Val Kilmer.

Cody Cameron

Addie thank you watching this I would like to humbly request you watch Batman & Robin. I know ppl will tell it's cheesy but it's a fun time.

Troy Sinegal

I'm glad you enjoyed Batman Forever. As a kid it was my favorite over Batman and Batman Returns. Just for fun, you should watch Batman & Robin. You'll have a good laugh

Tim Burton was also riffing on 60s Batman. Penguin runs for mayor is a plot line lifted straight from the TV series. I’ve never thought the leap was that big.

Milton Reduxed

What a stinker of a movie. The studio didn't want Tim Burton to make a 3rd film because McDonalds wanted something more child-friendly to put on their drink cups

Steve SG-1

I think my favorite Val Kilmer role is from The Ghost and the Darkness (1996). RIP For more Joel Schumacher check out Falling Down (1993)

The closest to a "sweet wholesome kid" of a Robin was probably Dick Grayson, but every Robin was burdened by trauma. Dick was just the best at hiding it. While most Robins became as such BECAUSE of the trauma, others like Tim Drake didn't face that trauma until after becoming Robin.

Julian San

Ghost and the Darkness is really good.

Speaking of Joel Schumacher (RIP), I also suggest The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981), D.C. Cab (1983), St. Elmo's Fire (1985), The Lost Boys (1987, Rewatch Reaction for Halloween), Cousins (1989), Flatliners (1990, for Halloween), Dying Young (1991), The Client (1994, also with Tommy Lee Jones), A Time to Kill (1996), 8mm (1999), Flawless (1999), Tigerland (2000), Bad Company (2002, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer), Phone Booth (2002), Veronica Guerin (2003, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer), The Number 23 (2007, also with Jim Carrey, for Halloween), Blood Creek (2009), Twelve (2010), and Trespass (2011). #MoreJoelSchumacherForAddieCounts

Eh, I'm not a fan of this one, I lost interest halfway through honestly (which is unusual considering Jim Carey was really Jim Careying it up!), but yeah, Barrymore is a hottie! 🥰 This was also just a few years before she was in Charlie's Angels (2000), which wasn't the best movie overall but she was definitely a highlight if you're looking for another kind of fun, cheesy movie with her in it.

Jacob King

The line was “I cannot sanction your buffoonery”. Tommy Lee Jones felt that when the cameras were off you should stop acting like Jim Carey in 1995.

Jacob King

I really do enjoy this movie. It’s the first Batman movie I saw in the cinema (slightly too young for Returns) and I was a massive fan of Val Kilmer and Jim Carey. My one critique back then (and now) is Chris O’Donnell is too old for the role as written. He’s 25! If it had’ve been a kid actor it would’ve massively increased the stakes and the pathos. A lot of the lines feel like he’s meant to be a kid and it would make sense for Bruce to take in a 13 year old. The laundry scene becomes actually cool, boosting the Batmobile is a lot funnier, and Bruce’s objections to him as a partner are a lot more reasonable. Anyway the next one is not great but better than most people give it credit for. Everyone involved knows they were making a silly movie and Uma Thurman is amazing.

David Martin

I Loved this movie growing up and still do. I had all the Batman Forever toys lol.

Justin

You have pretty much covered all the live-action movies. You may as well watch Batman & Robin to clear your Live-Action bingo card. After that you could go and watch the animated movies, starting with Mask of the Phantasm!

Byrd N. Hand

I wouldn't object to a 'drunk' reaction to "Batman and Robin," as I believe TimotheeReacts did to it... 😏

Chris Capitano

Was this your first time watching it?
