Happy Friday, Addie. I'm glad that you watched From Dusk Till Dawn (1996). Here's a behind the scenes fact, Salma Hayek was in a self-induced hypnotic trance when she filmed her snake dance because she has a real, genuine fear of snakes, just like you.

Tom W.

Woo-hoo! I've been looking forward to this one. 😁

Great movie to go in blind to

Adrian Duenas

Rodriguez and Tarantino are a wild pairing indeed. They teamed up again in 2005’s Sin City and in 2007 with the double feature Planet Terror and Death Proof

Robert da Spruce

Tarentino’s foot fetish is out of control! 🤣

WHAT! I'm so impressed she made it through that

Alex Tan

I know, right. But she did have a major freakout moment during her press junket interview with Extra TV for Grown Ups (2010).

Speaking of Robert Rodriguez, who directed this movie as well as Chapter 14 of The Mandalorian (2019-2023) & Chapters 1, 3 & 7 of The Book of Boba Fett (2021-2022), I also suggest El Mariachi (1992), Desperado (1995), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Machete (2010), Machete Kills (2013), Alita: Battle Angel (2019), Red 11 (2019), and Hypnotic (2023). For his more lighthearted fare, I suggest Spy Kids (2001), Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams (2002), Spy Kids 3: Game Over (2003), The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005), and Shorts (2009). #MoreRobertRodriguezForAddieCounts

I love how many characters Cheech Marin plays.

YES!!! I’ve seen this movie so many times and I never get tired of it I had a friend who used to think George Clooney was a douche bag and never liked him until he saw this movie and it changed his opinion 😂

Luis Fernandez

Let's not forget Four Rooms, which had Rodriguez direct a segment (my favorite part), an acting role for Q (in a different segment), and featured Salma dancing (briefly).

Luis Fernandez

Great reaction, Addie. This was fun. I dig Clooney in general, but he's super cool in this one. You can rewatch Sinners and see just how much was borrowed from this film. I prefer this one... it is so much more fun.

Luis Fernandez

Oh... and there are sequels. They are not great. The TV show isn't bad tho.

PHILLIP CORNISH

Another classic and juliette lewis is so cool, Check her out in Cape Fear. So happy you watched this, Thank you Addie and hope you and your family are all well x

Doug

Robert Rodriguez does some crazy movies. 😄 He's also known for the so-called Mexico trilogy (El Mariachi, Desperado, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico). El Mariachi was the original Spanish film, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico were the American sequels starring Antonio Banderas. If you're ever looking for another Rodiguez film El Mariachi and Desperado are both worth checking out.

Low profile Addie—do you understand the meaning of the words low profile? 😉
