Here's the full length reaction to Episode 2 ("Day of Days") of Band of Brothers! The interviews at the beginning are becoming one of my favorite parts of the show. Enjoy!

For those curious, I'm planning on watching Chernobyl AFTER finishing Band of Brothers! I'll likely take a couple of weeks off from shows after Band of Brothers to fit in more movies, and then I'll start Chernobyl!

Lubs to our Addie looking forward to Chernobyl. Will give this one a go. Open mind and all that. 😘

(A reply to the caption below) Now that sounds like a good idea. I'm looking forward to what movies you'll watch next before diving into Chernobyl. Until then, I'll see you on Friday for The Marvels (2023).

Simon

Where do you find the Patreon schedule? I didnt think that was published in advance anymore.

Alex Tan

The movie just came out on Disney+ and there's a good chance that Addie may record her reaction to that either today or tomorrow.

Rich

Thank you for also doing Chernobyl! I'm very happy that you made that decision

Hey addie. So I want to let you know that Band of Brothers is considered a series of shows. This one covers the German campaign of War. Tom Hanks and Spielberg also did another HBO show called "The Pacific" which is the 2nd show in band of brothers saga. As of January 2024, Tom Hanks is at it again with another band of brothers show called "Masters of the Air" which covers pilots as they campaigned across Europe in ww2. All these are based on real stories told from these veterans. I want to encourage you to watch this whole series for your channel at some point in your career as a reactor. You won't regret watching these amazing historical dramas. Excited for you starting BoB and have a good rest of the week!

BoB and Chernobyl -- two excellent series.

Really enjoying your reactions as I rewatch BoB with you. If you want follow-up information, history professor Jared of the Reel History YT channel does detailed overviews of each episode, including explaining which parts the episodes take some artistic license, and which parts are accurate. He has a Band of Brothers playlist for these. He’s also doing this for Masters of the Air.

My excitement for Band of Brothers is closely the same as Firefly. The major difference is the kind of entertainment each provides. For episode 1, Sobel honestly got the men conditioned for what was needed. His methods were legitimately questionable. The men knew he was in charge but someone like that should not enforce it at his leisure. Episode 2, towards the end of ep1, Winters shows what leadership should entail. Disciplining when needed, providing plans that need to be accomplished, ensuring people that they’re capable of succeeding the mission at hand. I’m thrilled that you’re looking forward to more, enjoy it as it comes, it’ll be over before you can say, “I wish there was more.” You do get a little bonus at the end with a special presentation. “We Stand Alone Together”

Thanks for your reaction.
