I'm so glad you finally got to meet Supergirl and Granny Goodness and her Female Furies. Yes Kara Zor-El is Superman's actual cousin as her father, Zor-El is the brother of Jor-El. In the show, they made Argo City a sister planet to Krypton but in the comics, Argo City is one of three city states on Krypton's largest continent Lurvan. Them being Argo City, Kandor (which is the city that Brainiac shrank and put into his collection), and Kryptonopolis. So Kara is a Kryptonian, which is why she has basically the same powers as Superman. Granny Goodness isn't a lover to Darkseid but if you look on her wikipedia, it's actually kind of sad how she came to be one of Darkseid's other minions. And also how she trains Darkseid's elite soldiers by torturing and brainwashing, as a parody of child care to turn them into fanatical warriors willing to fight and die for him. Darkseid did have a wife early on named Suli when he became Darkseid and during when his mother, Queen Heggra ruled Apokolips. Darkseid and Suli would go onto have a son that you know named Kalibak. As for Orion, he was birthed from a later marriage of Darkseid but the story of Orion’s mother is more complicated. Also the son that Highfather traded to Darkseid you don’t get to see until way later in Justice League. But there's a whole story that explains why Darkseid is so cold and heartless as he wasn't always like that. Hell he never looked like a gray rock guy before nor is his real name actually Darkseid as his real name was Prince Uxas. And yes Granny Goodness was voiced by a man, Ed Asner. With the Supergirl show with Melissa Benoist, I think the show was alright but I was not really a fan of the later seasons. However the show is part of the same universe as the other CW DC shows so if you were to watch it, you might be confused by certain characters showing up without any explantation and having a developed relationship with her already. But I'm happy that with this, you can now move on to season 3 of STAS and it brings us ever so closer to Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Justice League. Also since you watched this, you can watch Superman/Batman: Apocalypse whenever you want as it's not only a sequel to Public Enemies but it does feature Supergirl. Plus the movie is also just really great!

This was the debut of Supergirl! She is Kara Zor-El Superman's cousin who used to be older than him at first when he was just a baby on Krypton. Also she and Jimmy were kinda bonding here given how both of them were being treated as kids by Lois and Clark😏😂

Supergirl is a character who’s had many different incarnations over the years. There’s a movie that does a similar story to this called Superman/Batman Apocalypse which is really great and has the animated series voices for Batman and Superman. I highly recommend

Animated debut of Supergirl. This feels like it should be the opener to S3 and Apokolips Now the end of S2. Regardless, Kara is a welcome regular for S3. The Superman/Batman: Apocalypse film is like a darker animated version of these episodes. Ed Asner is Granny Goodness. Drag queen indeed. 'She' never sired any children with the heartless bastard who murdered Dan Turpi-(COUGH) Darkseid, mainly working as the one who tortures, molds and brainwashes people into his servants like the Furies. I haven't seen much of the Supergirl CW series, but from what I've heard it might be up your alley. It's just a little jarring how far it has to bend backward sometimes to not include Superman much and focus more on Kara's journey to adulthood.

Yay! Supergirl! There have been a number of crazy interpretations of her over the years. But the traditional interpretation is that she is Kal-El's cousin, who arrives on earth as as a teenager or an adult. This interpretation is very bubbly which I like. In some interpretations she has a harder time adapting to living on earth. She grew up in an advanced alien culture which has been destroyed so she struggles with living on a new planet which is relatively primative. But I like that this version is so happy.

It's good you watched this before Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. It's actually a very fun animated movie despite the serious title name. That movie might answer some of your questions that you asked in this. As others had mentioned Granny Goodness was voiced by Ed Asner who you might know as the old man from Pixar's "Up." He died at age 91 three years ago, he was in a lot of shows, movies, and did a lot of voice work for cartoons.

Sorry that my comments are coming so late in your journey. Ive been slowly watching these posts and your games on YouTube in chronological order. My first exposure on Supergirl and Granny Goodness was on Smallville TV show on the WB/CW network. Laura Vandervort was similar to this version and Benoist's, although I still haven't seen Glee yet despite my wife's plea's lol. Benoist's version relied on more recent villains, had a lot of LGBT characters, and crossovers with Arrow, Flash, and others for team-up events. As far as Granny goes, she's one of Darkseid's warriors and has only been played live twice, Smallville and Snyder's JL movie.
